Location was perfect. It's amazing to have free tea and coffee. The kitchen has a lot of equipment which is nice and the living room/shared area has such a nice vibe. The staff is AMAZING, best thing of this hostel
The blue and aqua room not being really separated is a problem, a 20 beds room can be way too noisy. There is not enough space in the fridge Except from one shower, water is most of the time not very warm.

The location is very good. There are many good restaurants, shops nearby, making shopping and eating are very convenient.
The staff is very helpful. They provide me with information on public traffic.
The kitchen has many kind of ingredients which is very convenient for people who want to cook theirselves.
I came very late at night, nearly 11 pm. It was hard for me to find my right bed in the dorm, because it is very dark (I do not want to trouble the other guests, so I do not turn on the right). There are very small number on the bed, that I couldn't find it, I went to wrong bed, causing trouble to another person. I feel very sorry for that. I think the hostel should provide some more clear details about the bed in the room (in a diagram, for example).

1. The bedstead is very unstable. Tiny motion will make it shake and loud noise. 2. All thing looks like very old. 3. Air conditioner is restricted to open during 9pm to 9am. 4. This is the worst thing! There is no light and bed lamp in the room. Precisely, there is a light in the room, but no one can control it. It will turned off on 10pm. After 10pm, it is all dark in the room. Then you have to use your flashlight of your own. This is the worst hostel I live ever. With a normal price in Canada, but almost everything makes you upset. You even have to make up your bed with sheet and pillow case by yourself.

The proximity to old Montreal was great! The restrooms and other public facilities were cleaned daily and did not feel dirty at all. I stayed in one of the larger more public rooms during my stay and found it comfortable and safe. The staff were also amazing and were able to answer and accommodate all of my concerns!

Loved the location and staff! The vibe of the hostel was great! It has everything you need. I especially liked that there was a free food basket from people who had overbought or left food. The common room and bathrooms were clean as well.
Nothing! Though if you have accessibility issues, this hostel is not for you as there is no escalator, only stairs!

Was a place for good rest despite it being a hostel. But I think it mostly boils down to where your room is situated and how many people share the room with you+ good earplugs of course. Luckily the other people in my room sleeps early and don't wake up at ungodly hours so I could get a good rest for so many nights.
perhaps some extension cords near the upper bunks would be a nice touch and the bed was pretty creaky but you don't really hear it after putting in ear plugs.

Nice bohemian vibe, good kitchen set up. Rooms were clean. Overall, I felt safe. Very good location. Staff were great and very helpful. Very chill hostel. I really really liked that it wasn't 'party central'.
More a personal preference, but I would have gotten an ensuite next time. Also, and I know the hostel doesn't have control over this, but I hated smelling/seeing the garbage out front in the morning/afternoons.

Considering the standard price in Montreal and the location, it was quite reasonable.
Extra blankets were available.
The room was cold, but I found ac was set too cold all the time in Montreal, so it was maybe normal in Canada considering it’s a cold land.
The cleanliness could have been better in the toilet, the bathroom and the stairs.
The outlets are not easily accessible if you are assigned to an upper bed.

Reception staff was professional and friendly, explained all the terms and rules of the hostel clearly. Location of the hostel is excellent. Walking distance to everywhere in the old town and the old port. Several bus stops in the area as well. Bathrooms cleaned regularly.
Women's dorm (Pink) on last floor of a 4-storey walk up, no lift/elevator, for light travellers only. Air-conditioning and fan are very loud, but room is stuffy without using them. Wooden floors and doors are creaky. Bunk beds terribly shaky and creaky. Noisy even with slightest movements. Whole bed shakes when either one of the guests on top or bottom bunk moves. Poor sleep because of this. Poor sound insulation in general; loud slamming of doors and metal lockers in the corridor. Highly recommend bringing ear plugs. Different gendered dorms are on the same level so expect to share common bathrooms with people of different genders. Picture of charging point at bed is misleading; there are no charging points on top bunk, only on wall near bottom bunk. No curtains on top bunk so if anyone switches on the light, it will shine on your face because that's how close you are to the ceiling.

The location of the hostel was perfect! It's a 10-minute walk from Downtown, 5 minutes from Square-OACI metro station and 5 minutes from Vieux-Montrèal (Old Montrèal).
The charger in my bunk bed wasn't working, other than that it was what you paid for.

The location was good
There were RATS running near the kitchen area. I emailed the owner and I was told it was due to the building being old, however we found the overall cleanliness to be pretty poor. I found a ton of hair in the showers and the corners of my room were dirty. We were told to leave our shoes before walking up the stairs but there was a bunch of junk wedged in the black rubber stair cover. I had a hard time feeling comfortable during my stay due to the lack of hygiene and overall grossness. We loved Montreal but will definitely stay somewhere else next time.
