Expensive, didn’t realise the booking price does not contain the taxes, which increase the end price by 12-15%. The price in Booking.com should show the very final price - foreigners do not know the particularities of Canadian charges.

Nice location on the edge of the Historic District. Clean and tidy. The bar area was nice
Very challenging for my elderly sisters. There is no hand rail at the steep, four step entrance.see photo. Door handles were awkward and entrance doors heavy. The shower was in a very high sided bath. No walk-in shower. The towels were too high to reach. see photo. The print on the shampoo etc was microscopic and almost impossible to read . There was a constant "Humming" noise in the room. Breakfast was limited and expensive. Bell hop was hard to find. Reception area was very plain and functional. We never felt really welcomed.
(I understand that there were limited, upgrade rooms in the building with walk-in shower but non were available during our two night stay)

Rooms are a bit sub-par, the mini bar was missing items which we wanted (like red wine) the breakfast buffet is in NO way worth the price! It was an overall odd feeling in the hotel, like they tried to make it look like a fancy hotel in a beautiful building but it’s still not better than a high end 3 star. I am from Montréal and come to visit my family and business trips all the time and stay at the Nelligan or the Birks and I must say I won’t be back here again for the price.

Staff - very helpful and obliging. On our arrival, Front desk (Laurianne) came to the kerbside to assist my wheelchair bound husband in accessing a goods lift entrance to hotel (as hotel not equipped with open accessible entrance due to heritage building restraints). Large clean, bright and spacious room with good street views.
Not suitable for disabled community. Only stair access. Lifts painted black, dark, small, dingy, poor lighting creating an eerie feeling. Halls also very dark, minimal lighting that created a foreboding feeling. Decor, apparently done by some renowned designers was the worst I’ve experienced. Clashing colour palette, heavy curtains and a darkness in the public hallway that made me feel quite scary. Woeful is an understatement. Yet the rooms were complete contrast - white and airy totally different to the theme of the remainder of the hotel. Cappuccinos were not drinkable. They had two goes at making one, with no success so we gave up. Parking an issue. Overly priced. Would not return.

Excellent location and gorgeous hotel. The room was large and exceeded expectations. The decor is lovely and the connected bar is a wonderful meeting place before going to dinner and/or after a long day walking. The staff are helpful and kind. Can’t wait to return!
The sofa bed isn’t very comfortable, may just need adjusting.

The location was good. We were able to easily walk to the Basilica, Old Montreal and Old Port areas very easily.
The staff was lacking some manners and were not as helpful as they could have been when trying to get basic information about parking the car or getting around. The cleaning staff did not replace empty toilet paper rolls so that we had none in the room. Seemed like they just rushed through the room and didn't pay attention to basic needs.

The Hotel is in a very good location and you can find a lot of cool places nearby. Unfortunately, if you drive there be aware of the $40/night cost for the parking.
Cons: The hotel in general looks good from the outside but from the inside, you will experience very dimmed hallways and cramped rooms. There was a column in the middle of the room which prevented us from moving freely! For $35/pp breakfast, you will get limited options which is not worth it overall.

We like the style of the hotel, especially the lobby and the bar, very chic and cool. The hotel is in good location - close to some great restaurants.
The front desk young lady could be a lot friendlier and smiley. It's a shame that We were welcomed with a cold, abrupt and unwelcoming speech. She also was not helpful and wasn't informative about the hotel's facilities e.g. (wifi, breakfast, gym, and map). If not mistaken the name of the front desk lady was Atillia. However, the evening guy was a complete opposite manner.

The facility is rather dated. Shower plug was broken. Carpet had holes. Couldn't get the room to a good temperature. Way too warm. Didn't get the breakfast and I am glad. It costs $32/ person and was really limited. Two cups of terrible coffee cost $10.
