The hotel is very centrally located--short walking distance to most sights and public transport. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The interior design was beautiful too.
It would be nice if complimentary breakfast was included in the price. The electrical work/light switches in the room made no sense--one could not keep the reading lights on without also having the main lights on, which defied the purpose of the former.

Everything went well. The room was clean. Only thing, they did not allow me to place an extra bed. The counter staff Mr Dean.....hopefully i got his name spelling correct; He was really excellent. Dean was so helpful and providing us all the information to move around. At one time we were late to catch a bus to Toronto. He was so quick to arrange a taxi to bring us there to the boarding point. We felt so comfortable at Hotel Monville because of him. He is certainly a great hire by Hotel Monville.

The room was perfect, a little small but it was a well-organized space and really comfortable. Loved the big window looking out on the city. Easy to connect to the tv for Netflicts, room had all necessary amenities. The location was perfect, close to where we were headed TD Studio venue for a show. Very walkable neighborhood, easy to get downtown and to old MTL.
There is really nothing to complain about, except the fire alarm that went off the morning of our departure. Emergencies happen and it was well organized and taken care of.

The location is second to none! The hotel never disappoints when it comes to food options at the restaurant in the lobby be it breakfast or the dinners that we tried. Bed was comfortable. And I loved the water closet-divided bathroom. This hotel is my go to whenever I visit Montreal! They also made some special accomodations for my birthday.
I unfortunately got really sick halfway through my stay, and I was surprised and somewhat disappointed to learn that room service was no longer a thing at the hotel but I must say the included breakfast was amazing each day of our stay. And although it was available by request, it was also surprising that there was no iron in the room.

This place was absolutely beautiful. Loved the minimal aesthetic. The lobby and room was beautiful and very clean. We were obsessed with the view of Montreal from the floor to ceiling window! It was our anniversary and it seems they upgraded us to a higher floor! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Valet was prompt and convenient. Location was perfect, would recommend to everyone!!!!
room is pretty small in size so if you are a family traveling with lots of stuff this may be an issue for you.. however for a couple it was perfect.

The room we booked was a more expensive "higher floors" option.
It turned out to be a nightmare - the AC/ Vent equipment ( serving the whole building ), located above made it absolutely impossible to sleep.
I wonder why the receptionist gave us the room that is exactly under the source of noise, when the hotel was far from being fully booked.
The receptionist told us that she will send someone to check, but it never happened.
On the checkout day, they sent a technician who agreed that there is nothing he could fix.
If you wish to pay $250+/night to sleep with earplugs on in a tiny room, hotel Monville is your best choice.

My recent stay at Hotel Monville was marred by a series of unfortunate events that significantly detracted from my overall experience. Despite the hotel's promising reviews and seemingly reputable status, the reality of my visit was far from satisfactory, leading me to caution potential guests about what they might encounter.
First and foremost, the valet parking service, which one would expect to be reliable and careful, was anything but. My vehicle was returned with a conspicuous scratch on the steering wheel, a clear sign of careless handling and a lack of respect for personal property. The distressing part of this ordeal was not just the damage itself but the hotel’s response to the incident. When brought to the attention of the reception manager, Abir, the response was underwhelming. The lack of accountability and failure to provide a satisfactory solution only added insult to injury, leaving me feeling disregarded and undervalued as a guest.
Adding to the disappointment was the unbearable noise issue in the room. The constant disturbances at all hours made rest and relaxation impossible, significantly impacting the comfort and enjoyment of my stay. For a hotel that prides itself on providing a peaceful and welcoming environment for its guests, this was a glaring oversight.
Moreover, basic amenities that one would expect to be in working order were not. The TV remote control, for instance, was non-functional throughout my stay. Despite multiple attempts to have it replaced or fixed, the issue remained unresolved, further exemplifying the lack of attention to guest comfort and satisfaction.
In conclusion, my experience at Hotel Monville was far from the relaxing and hassle-free stay I had anticipated. The negligence displayed by the valet parking service and the indifferent response from the management, coupled with the noise pollution and overlooked amenities, reflect poorly on the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction.

Very nice stay. The staff was excellent, they are extremely nice and understanding. The valet parking was also a plus. There’s a nice bar in the lobby, the mocktail was excellent but it is pretty pricey. Nonetheless I loved my stay here everything was clean in the room, the view from our bedroom was beautiful and the location was perfect. It’s right in the heart of downtown.
The only downside was that the tv wasn’t working :(.

The property was very nice, but some things were difficult for a senior traveler. The sliding doors in the room were rather heavy and hard to move. The coffee maker was up a bit high and set back making it hard to reach. I also had to use my flash to read the coffee maker, as it was in a very dark location. Lastly, the thermostat could not be set below 68. It was a very warm weekend and would’ve been nice to have the room a bit cooler. Otherwise, the itself was very nice.
Ordering breakfast was very confusing. The TV information stated that no reservation was required, but in fact you needed a reservation to get a $10 discount on breakfast. The restaurant staff were a bit abrupt at breakfast and actually almost knocked me over one time! The way I felt about the property, was that it was trying to be upscale, but missed out on catering to visitors in common ways, such as comfortable table and chairs (in the restaurant), and making the room comfortable for all aged visitors. I probably won’t stay at this property again, but would choose a hotel more like a Marriott, which tend to be very nice, but also have common sense in terms of meeting the needs of visitors.

-Staff were a bit casual and unprofessional. I had a parcel delivered to the hotel during my stay. Reception phoned the room at 7.30pm to say it had arrived. The next morning when I went to reception to pick it up, the guy at the desk told me nothing had arrived and that he checked with his colleagues. He just shrugged his shoulders at me. I kicked up a fuss and refused to leave, and suddenly the parcel appeared from the room behind reception.

Breakfast delicious with lots of choice on offer, including chocolate croissants! Enjoyed the rooftop terrace, the very clean, modern & creatively laid out room with great shower. Staff were warm, friendly and extremely helpful and efficient, especially when I forgot an item in the car and one of the valet parking staff escorted me offsite to retrieve it. Great location for proximity to Old Montreal, Chinatown, Place des Arts, etc.

Surprisingly got upgraded to a suite with a high floor so no complaints with our stay. We were only there for one night so didn't make use of any facilities. There's a public parking lot a short walk from the hotel so we parked there instead of using their valet service. Very well located as it's a short walk from the old town and several cafes. Checkout was a good time as well.
