The location was good, and the hotel is very new. The breakfast was good, but not fantastic. People were super friendly. The room was quiet and comfortable. Lots of great restaurants around.
Parking is not so easy in this area. It would be nice if the hotel gave parking information along with the booking. The bathroom was a little cold, and the water temperature wasn't high enough. The shower was lukewarm. I didn't ask them to fix it so it was really my issue. I am sure they would fix it if asked.

Amazing service! Text each day to make sure our stay was good and let us know they were there. Beds super comfy, and rooms were a good size. Pillows were comfy, and the TV was huge. Not that we watched a ton. But it was overall 9/10 and would stay again! The lounge area was great!!! Tea and coffee 24hrs was helpful. Really excellent stay.
The only complaint, the water in the shower could have been a bit hotter, and an extra bath towel would have been nice.

The Front Desk Rep, Roland, made a huge difference in our stay. He took the time to give us recommendations for first-time visitors, taught us how to move around, and showed genuine care for us. I can thank him enough for being so awesome.
Breakfast time ends at 9:00 AM, so you need to wake up early if you want to take advantage of it.

I like that the hotel was in close vicinity to the gay village. The staff were also extremely friendly.
My friends and I could barely sleep because of the noise outside of the hotel. Any noise, especially the plows and trucks, was loud to the point that it would keep waking me up through the entire night. I understand that the hotel is located in a big city, but I would've also expected that the hotel would be built with strong sound proofing windows to counter the City noise. When I visited Paris years ago, I was shocked how much the windows deadened the outside noise. I can't imagine that I'm the first customer ever complaining about this, so at the very least, I would have expected the Tru Hilton to disclose the issue with noise and perhaps provide ear plugs as a courtesy.

I had a great stay at Tru by Hilton. The hotel and its facilities are brand new, modern, and very well maintained. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh and tasty options. The highlight, however, was the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. Their kindness truly made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved the location! It’s right next to the metro, there are various restaurants within walking distance, and there’s even a convenience store just across the street!
As of February 2026 there is still lots of construction in the area which isn’t ideal for walking or driving.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, and the bed/mattress were very comfortable. However, the lack of included parking was disappointing. With the nightly rate already on the higher side, an additional $18+ per day for parking made the stay feel overly expensive.
I appreciated several aspects of my stay; however, the lack of included on-site parking was a drawback. Requiring guests to pay separately for parking can negatively affect the overall guest experience and perceived value. I encourage you to consider including parking or clearly outlining all fees upfront to help manage expectations.

I absolutely loved how patient and knowledgeable the woman that checked us in was, I had a ton of questions and she had all the answers and even printed out maps for us. The hotel was spotless and looked modern. Great breakfast selection.
The only downside was no parking available. But we had access to a parking garage very close by.

Montreal's downtown, like other major cities in North America, has trouble dealing with Fentanyl users. That's is not a problem with the hotel. Only a local issue that affects their business, because that situation is very uncomfortable for everyone.

The district was a bit dodgy overall though it was easily reachable by public transport. The hotel and the decor felt more like an upmarket youth hostel - not quite what was expected from the brand. WiFi was OK though not always working optimally.

The staff for sure! They were, to a person, friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel is not upscale and it does not need to be. I would suggest a handheld shower as an improvement. Location is excellent. Breakfast was adequate and food plentiful. Excellent stay!!
