Located in old town, which is perfect. You walk out on the street and it's like you're in a European city. So beautiful. The room is a bit shabby chic but clean and quirky with its high ceilings and strangely shaped bathrooms. It had good AC and was perfectly acceptable for the price.
The shower broke in the morning I was leaving and when I went downstairs to tell someone the person there (I have no idea if it was a staff member) didn't understand me when I said the shower was broken or 'la douche est... (spurting water motion)' lol.

The room was clean and bathroom was spacious. The mini fridge was a luxury as not all rooms have them. Just one in the lobby weird. The pop machine was cheaper then other places. The staff was helpful and nice.
Coffee/tea in room or at least cups and tea/coffee out front. Need working ice machine. TV remote not working completely. Thse are not major issues, except for the ice. But when paying 130 + tax a night, basics are expected.

Great location in the centre of old Quebec, with many shops and restaurants right next to the hotel and walking distance to almost all the sites in Quebec city. Room was neat and clean, with a mini fridge.
Our room was of a smaller size with only a small window (but not too bad for its price and location). Not much room for storage in the toilet.

Fantastic location, right in the center of old Quebec. Pretty street, touristy but that is what old Quebec has become. Parking garage across the street from hotel, where you purchase a card at the reception desk and all you have to do is go park, very easy. This is a basic pension, so dont expect anything fancy. The price is fair. Room was clean and cheerful and could have been comfortable if a.c. was working. Had to climb lots of stairs, not a problem for us.
Quebec was experiencing a heat wave - heat advisories, etc. I asked when checking in if a.c. was workinglobby has no a.c. and its an old building. I got kind of a roundabout answer, but was assured that yes, it was. In some guest rooms, it actually was, I know. In our room it was not. We tried telling the afternoon receptionist, who was sympathetic and called the owner in front of us. We came back later that night, no a.c. Receptionist tried a few things, but no good. We spent a miserable, hot night on an upper floor. In the morning we let the day receptionist know what happened. She kept insisting we hadnt operated the unit correctly. I had to have her come up to the room and test it herself before she agreed it didnt work. She said she would tell the owner. We left for the day. Came back late afternoon, no a.c., no effort whatsoever made to resolve problem. Receptionist, who was very polite and sympathetic, called owner, explained the situation again. Facing another night of misery, we decided to park ourselves in the lobby until some resolution could be found. We were offered a room with a.c. but no bathroom, not an option. We were offered a space nearby , involving moving all our stuff a few blocks away. OK, we agreed. Then owner then called and said we couldnt have the other place until they had tried to fix the problem. So we sat for more time in the hot, humid lobby, and waited. Several hours after we came in, they helped us relocate to the other place, giving us a bottle of wine for our troubles. Guess what? All we really needed was a.) the truth, that the a.c. in that room malfunctions a lot and b.) a quick response from the owner. BTW, it was a weekday, so a technician could have been called in. Did not appreciate being told we were wrong about something as basic as mechanicals not functioning. It put a real negative turn on our brief stay in Quebec.

Very steep stairs at entrance. Says has parking but turns out its pay parking adjacent, false advertising. Parking is very difficult . First person we talked too very helpful, next day others not so nice. Bathroom parts ok and new, very old yellow tiny bathtub and hot cold water ration and control terrible, we scalded and froze continually. Asked for change of stinking shower curtain, were told they didnt have any spare ones lol. But they did change it so ok.

The building is old, and in need of some care. The lock on the door was a bit difficult to figure out. I couldn't open it without assistance, and I couldn't lock it properly by myself. There is a double-lock feature on it, so it wasn't open all night. But, I would have preferred both locks to be working smoothly. The walls are very thin, and you hear people moving about or showering etc. My sleep was interrupted, but I managed to be well-rested. The water in the bathroom sink was slow to drain, but nothing a liquid de-clogger wouldn't fix.

The room with sink and shower had a good size, but the shower area was absolutely tiny, measuring no more than 60x60cm.
Shared toilet was unpleasant of course, but it could be worse. So, thats acceptable.
Bedsheets had a lot of hairs and the the mattress was the worst I have ever slept on by far. More than soft, you couldn't move in bed.
Overall, it was not worth for the price paid.

The room was very clean. As expected there were a lot of stairs, but that is the norm in vieux Quebec. The room was small but again that was to be expected, and we spent most of our time visiting this beautiful walled city. I would recommend walking north of the St. Louis gate for more access to better restaurants and night life. The restaurants within the walls were trs cher.

The location was great, close to restaurants and places to see within a short walking distance.
The staff provided access codes to enter the building and retrieve our room key which was helpful in the absence of staff availability after hours. Convenient but necessary.
The access and egress steps into and out of the hotel were very steep and long, my wife had some difficulty and wasn't able to open the door by herself to enter, given the strong pull of the entrance door and steepness of the stairs.
The room had coffee cups available but no coffee or coffee maker. The bed was against an adjoining door at the far end of the room with 6" on one side of the bed and less than 36" on the other. A carefully placed chair was next to the headboard to prevent movement of the bed and also blocked the adjoining room door. I had to crawl over the top of the bed to get in and out so my wife could have the side with the 36" path. Very inconvenient and narrow room. The room had several unnecessary pieces of furniture which made the room feel like a storage place with a flop bed.

The bed was not comfortable, and with an older building, the floors were uneven, so it felt like we were sleeping on an angle. We ended up sleeping on the opposite end of bed to level us out. Disappointed the ice machine was not available.
