Can be noisy early morning, mainly staff cleaning/doing things, there is a drain smell, would be nice to have daily water and a kettle like so many others do - just a basic really, no international TV.

BEWARE!!! There are BED BUGS or flea there, I only got one night sleep but got bitten all over the body with severe swollenness and itchiness. The place looked clean but really is not. The elevator also did not work at all, had to carry my luggage upstairs for 7 floors.

Great location, a minute from the metro station. Very centric location. Cheap accommodation
Room is very basic and very small. I could fit my suitcase, so I can open it without blocking the entrance to the room.
The elevator was broken, so I had to climb 7 floors.
Tiny bed and only one towel in the room (no hand towel).
Breakfast wasn't opened on time, so I had to skip it and leave for the airport.

The photos on Booking are misleading. Only a very small number of rooms actually have the view shown in the pictures, while most rooms do not. This creates unrealistic expectations when choosing the hotel.
Secondly, the hotel did not officially inform guests that the building facade is currently under renovation. As a result, our window was completely covered by scaffolding, which meant there was no view at all. This was not communicated in advance, which we believe is important information for guests when booking.
Finally, there is only one elevator serving the entire building, and it is extremely slow. The waiting times are very long, which makes moving around the hotel quite inconvenient.
Overall, this lack of transparency about both the real room views and the ongoing construction was disappointing

•The location is ABSELOUTELY amazing!! Couldn't be better! One step outside and you are in the main street of Madrid right in the heart of the city.
•Very cheap considering the hotel is in one of the most expensive streets in Madrid and also breakfast is included which is amazing.
•The breakfast was so-so. I was expecting a buffet but it's like a restaurant. You have a menu with 7 options and you pick from it. You can't really make changes to the dishes and I was missing something fresh or some dairy. The have mostly omelets with some kind of sausage/bacon and an avocado salmon sandwich. I wish there were yoghurts, salad, cereal etc...
•Storing your luggage in the hotel if you have a late checkout is 2€ for a medium sized bag/luggage and 3€ for a big one. I think it's kind of weird that they charge money for storage as most hotels do it for free.
•Not related to the hotel (I think) but in the last morning I was awakened to a sound of construction work. The building is currently under renovation, but waking up to the sound of a hammer drilling right up your window at 8 in the morning is no fun.
•Again, not sure if it's related to the hotel, but due to the building being in construction, there was no view of the city which was kind of a bummer.
•Maybe I misunderstood, but to use the safe in your room, you had to insert a euro coin, which was surprising.
•T.V. volume doesn't exceed 10.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep. It’s not very big, but it’s perfect if you’re looking for a place to rest after exploring the city. The location is excellent, with many attractions, restaurants, and public transportation within walking distance. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help.
The room was a bit small, but it wasn’t an issue for our short stay.

This is a very central pension where there are many of the same types of accommodation in the building. Everything was correct and the staff were helpful. The place to have breakfast was very beautiful with great view.
It was very expensive for what it is, the room is ok but desperately needs to be upgraded. The lift is small and only 1 for the whole building which made us waste a lot of time.

Todo perfecto. La habitación estaba muy limpia, la cama era cómoda y las instalaciones estaban bien cuidadas. El personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento, y el proceso de check-in y check-out fue muy sencillo. La ubicación también es muy buena para visitar la ciudad. The staff was nice and helpful - in particular an early check in was a very nice surprise after a long flight there.
the view outside the window was a bit different than on booking (see the attached photos). I asked specifically before coming to the hostel if they would store my luggage as I had a late flight. The answer was yes, but they forgot to mention that it was a paid option - not much, admittedly, but they should have mentioned it in the message. The hostel is on the 7th floor and there is just one old elevator. It takes time to go in or out. The water under the shower tended to go down very slowly (it seemed clogged there)
