The location is right in the heart of Vieux Port, with two different public parking garages just a 2-5 minute walk away (costing 20-35 EUR per night). The rooms are very clean, beautifully designed, and offer a magnificent view of the old port if you book with ocean view (see photo). The bathroom is exceptionally designed and impeccably clean with nice products of l’Occitane. The bed is comfortable, and the staff is friendly. We would definitely book it again.

We chose to book without breakfast because the hotel only has an indoors restaurant (no terrace), and there were so many beautiful breakfast spots within walking distance that we wanted to explore.

The position, the staff, the breakfast.
It is fading in places a little (main stair carpet, some furniture, using mattress toppers, passing valve in the shower/tub control but none of this detracts from what a great experience I had. It was super welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast staff were so diligent as well.
I’d definitely stay again.

Everything else. From the welcome at check in to the outdated elevator, the smell in the lobby and hallway, the bathroom which is obsolete and not clean (stains on the bathtub). First time in Marseille but definitely the last time in this hotel.

Dropping off luggage and finding a car park was a complete nightmare. Cannot drive up to reception. No staff to help with luggage, local public car parks difficult to locate and surly reception staff. It ruined our stay

The property was very conveniently located in the old port near to the metro and canabiere and cruise operators
Poor offering of tea coffee and mineral water in the room; only one black tea teabag despite 2 guests in the room; likewise for the types of coffee and only one can of sparkling mineral water despite asking for this instead of still water; only one lift for seven floors which constantly arrived full including with cleaning staff and workmen carrying out repairs which were not highlighted before booking; non existent customer service at reception and check out not processed as requested twice first on the night before departure and then again on the day of departure - if you stay at this hotel make sure you proper invoices in advance before you leave

The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. The staff members are professional, responsive and friendly. Luggage storage is available, if that is required.

The location, with a view over the vieux port of Marseilles is marvelous. The breakfasts are plentiful but much too expensive, 28 Euros a person! And they give you no choice to have something small.
The staff operates like amateurs. We planned on driving to the hotel, and they could not explain the traffic situation, promised to send me a map via email, which never arrived. We asked for a restaurant recommendation for the neighborhood, which, being a tourist attraction, is a difficult place to find a good place to eat, and their recommendation was a dismal resto with mediocre food. On the day of checkout, the front desk said they called a taxi, but when it didn't come and they called the taxi company, it turns out never to have been ordered. Luckily, We were able to find one and make the train to Paris.
In our room, the toilet paper was like sandpaper and the tissues are no better quality. There is no bar of soap! Yet Marseille is the world's capital for wonderful soap!. Our room was so small that we could never have sat together even for a tiny snack.

Great view from 5th floor duplex.
Lack of attention to detail. A dirty abandoned slipper left uncleaned by the messy elevator area in the lobby. One of two elevators were out of order. The demarcation was a ripped cardboard on the floor with sloppy unsightly tape-roping off. The sitting area in our room had a stained, shabby worn out sofa pull out without any other furniture.

The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English.
One elevator was broke the entire time of my stay. The carpets throughout the entire facility we dirty and do not look they have been vacuumed for an extended timeframe. My room was clean, but not as clean as you would expect for a 4.5 star hotel. The person that turned my room dumped my toothbrush and toothpaste out of the glass I had the standing up in onto the sink counter for no reason.

I loved the bar lounge. The view from that room was wonderful.
The bathroom was beautifully done, but the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. Disappointed because I was promised a discount for the parking and then was told the machine was broken, so, no discount.

Unrivalled views of the Vieux Port; meticulous housekeeping staff; clean, bright bathroom with Occitane products; comfortable bed.
Renovation works conducted during our stay that we were not warned about at the time of our booking (with no cancellation); bar closed and no breakfast service; just a couple of mini-pastries and juices delivered to the room, and use of one of those ubiquitous Nespresso machines; hardly a substitute.
Room furnishings were a bit faded and tired; one chair in the room (which wasn't conducive to breakfast for a couple).

The perfect location by the harbour. The 7th floor suite had an amazing terrace with a stunning view. Even the view from the bed was incredible. It was very spacious and well equipped. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
It was being renovated and one of the lifts was usually out of order, and the stairs were also out of bounds due to the renovations.

The staff were very friendly and we got a double upgrade and stayed in Chopin suit with a fantastic view.
I could see that the hotel has seen better days, for example the carpet could be changed along with the curtains, but we loved the character of the place all the same. After all this is not a chain hotel which are the same independent of where they are.

The breakfast was ok. The coffee was not good. And in the room we found a gift from them and a handwritten thank you card, which is a nice gesture, but unfortunately it couldn't make up for how bad the room was.
I booked a room with a panoramic view of the port, more precisely terrace suites with king bed and panoramic view, 394 euros/night..an exorbitant price for what it offers...the room/suite...is an unrenovated room from Napoleon's time...the carpet is so worn that you feel sick to take off your shoes...the curtains and drapes are from the Middle Ages, outdated and faded by the sun. The king size bed is actually 2 single beds close together, the pillows are awful, the mattress is old, not very comfortable, plus on the mattress and pillow there is a plastic cover and you fell it as you were sleeping in a bag. The furniture is old and worn...the windows are extremely dirty. The room is on the 7th floor, a kind of secluded floor...and the panoramic view is half blocked by a roof, which has a chimney...I don't know what the chimney is for but it was working and the smoke entered the room. The bathroom was super old, dirty and unmaintained. The toilet is separated into a small room, so if you are claustrophobic you have no chance of using it. I did a 5 day tour with accommodation in 4/5 star places at the same price range, which were very good, but this one was horror.

The AC does not get very cool. Wish they had a fan or a little more power to the AC…our baby was a little sweaty in his normal attire so were his parents.

The staff worked above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. At our 1st room AC was not working but staff moved us to new beautiful room. Hotel is in the center of beautiful Old Port Marseille.

The location (with the exception of the noise), meals and restaurant staff were great.
Im sorry, but this is NOT a 4-star hotel. It is beyond tired. From the front desk area that is trying to cover an odor by spraying an overwhelming fragrance, to the VERY dirty carpet. Vacumn cleaners left in hallways for two days, dirty weird cover on the couch (no pillows or bolster, looked like someone slept on it and not cleaned or even straightened) and broken shower door which leaked all over the floor. The list goes on. I felt sad because this could be a great property.
