I have stayed at the Suede 4 times over the last 6 years. The location is great - very close walk to the beach and old city as well as public transport and convenience grocery stores, museums, shopping and many restaurants. The hotel buffet breakfast was convenient but the quality was somewhat mediocre...but not bad either. There are plenty of affordable options for breakfast outside in the town. I will recommend Suede to anyone including families with young children. This is not a super fancy hotel but a solid 3 star. I had to catch an early flight so was down in the lobby at 4 am - the overnight staff was extremely helpful in getting me transport to the airport. overall very friendly staff.

Location, it is right on Massena 100 restaurants on your doorstep, beaches 1min away,
Just need to remember it is Not a 4 star hotel it's old and most rooms are small, staff helpful, no coffee or tea facilities in room, but you can ask for a electric jug to do your own.
Bed was very hard, on seeing the room I had booked, i then asked for a larger room, which they gave me.

I loved the location of this hotel, 10 minute walk to old town, 1 minute walk to the promenade! Plenty of bars * restaurants right outside.
Sadly my room had no view so it felt quite dark. The window opened straight onto another building so i had to keep the curtains closed when inside for privacy

Food poisoning from buffet breakfast right before my flight. Hot bacon might have been days or even a week old. Tasted disgusting. Within 2 hours of eating breakfast I was not well at all.

For 3 star French hotel it was decent. The location is great and the FO staff was very helpful and smiley.
Breakfast service is a little strange. There were half the cutlery (missing forks) at the tables as per the hotel standards. In addition there were juice glasses and coffee cups at the table, yet there were no deuce a service and the guest were supposed to take the glasses to the machines, which was a little strange

The location was excellent for exploring the Old Town.
The staff couldnt have been more helpful.
If I had to find a fault Id say that the design of the bathroom could have been better. The WC was located right in the corner, behind the door, making using it a little awkward. But I can only comment on our room and I certainly wouldnt let this little detail stop me from staying here again.

The location and close to the promenade
Travel back in time to a different era, an old and run down overpriced 2 star hotel rating at the most. Thick carpets, smells of smoke. No ventilation, no AC forcing you to keep the windows open all night. A busy restaurant area below and noisy until midnight. To add the noise from the on-going construction work when builders starts drilling the asphalt at 06:30 no sleep after this. A tiny bathroom equipped with a bathtub but no shower curtain but the worst of all is absolutely no ventilation. The beds and pillows as hard as Metallica.
