We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in the 6eme in Paris for a week in September. It was our 15th or so stay there since 2005. Little has changed over the years, except that the hotel turned its underground car park into a wonderful pool, gym and spa and gained an extra star to make it the best 5 star boutique hotel in Paris. What else has changed? Very little. The staff are still magnificently friendly and helpful, in the bar, at the front desk, in the breakfast room and the doormen. To be greeted by them each year as an old friend adds to the charme de la maison. The only long term difference has been that Jean Vernaz, the wonderful concierge is no longer there... he is now concierge at The Ritz! However, the lovely Coralie now leads the concierge team and maintains the high standard of help and friendship that we had from Jean. Flavian still runs the bar, the live Jazz is still there and all is well with the world.
The weather, but I will not hold that against them! Everything else was excellent comme d'habitude.

The location was perfect. Beautiful neighborhood which was great to walk around. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was excellent across the board. We enjoyed the buffet style breakfast, although it was a little pricey (expected in a high end hotel in Paris). We enjoyed the bar and lounge area with the nightly life jazz performances. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was our first time in Paris and would definitely stay at Hotel D'Aubusson again.

The attention to detail was remarkableβnighttime gifts on my bed, fresh fruit, and a maid service that ensured my room was spotless every day. This is my favourite hotel in Paris! Fantastic location close to the river, Notre Dame and St Germain, surrounded by fabulous cafes and restaurants. We loved the location, excellent for walking around the chic St Germain de Pres, within walking distance of many sights and close to the Odeon metro. Lively neighborhood with great shopping or dining options.
The staff were wonderful and very helpful, and the facilities are clean and well maintained; we were upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite, which was more than enough for a couple. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast one morning and it really was the perfect way to start the day, with a lot of buffet options and delicious crepes.
We would definitely return!

Love the location, room was reasonable, but the bathroom is outdated and too tight. Jazz bar is cool and adds an attractive dimension. I also like the bar and the lounge area - calm and relaxing.
The bathroom is outdated and small.
I donβt mind it has no Resturant as the area is buzzing but I would have the bar open later to say at least 1am with maybe a piano player after the jazz. Have a late night piano bar thur - sat

I enjoyed staying at Hotel D'Aubusson the property is beautiful, the staff is friendly and very personable, and the locations is central to all the attractions, shopping, restaurants, and bars/cafes. The live music was enjoyable to listen too, but would be good to have more mainstream Parisian artists.
They need to expand their restaurant/food offering.

The concierge service was excellent, as was the standard of service generally, and the cleanliness and design of the room. The live jazz every night in the bar was a lovely bonus!
The bathroom required an upgrade. There was mould around the tiles and that is not what you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Additionally the breakfast was a rip-off at 35 Euros per person.

Lovely courtyard, wonderful breakfast buffet and helpful staff.
The bathroom has shower in a tub with very tall side. Iβm short and old, and though I managed without incident, it was a huge challenge.

Love the location. And like the small hotel feel!
They no longer have a doorman or bell men. Persons behind the desk must call for taxis, take care of luggage, give directions. Room was 25% higher that when I stayed there 8 years ago. Breakfast not included. No walk in showers.

This is a truly civilized place to stay. It is in a bustling part of Paris, and upon entering the hotel there is a sense of calm. It is charming, and beautifully executed. We had two different rooms, both beautifully designed, though, as is often the case with Paris hotels, they were not very large. The service is excellent, the breakfast amazing, and I loved the swimming pool. The concierge was very helpful. I would say this hotel is the very opposite of many gimmicky hotels, and instead is an understated class act.
As stated above, the rooms are not very spacious

The hotel was in an excellent location, was obviously well maintained, and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable (especially the sheets!) and the housekeepers expertly entered the room when we were out to refresh it and left clean towels each time. The pool spa area was well heated, yet refreshing after our long days of sightseeing!
The room was small and the bathtub/ shower was awkwardly positioned.

Good yet busy location. The soundproofing from the street noise was top notch. Comfortable, large rooms. Concierge was helpful with restaurant reservations.
Staff seem to be slightly challenged in responding to basic requests: βcan you arrange transportation to the Airport?β, βcan I checkout at 1pm?β, etc were met with some consternation. Not sure why this would happen at a 5 star hotel. Another issue: I was supposed to stay on an upper floor, which was apparent from the papers I signed, but ended up on a low floor: noise from the music band penetrated easily to the room. I was not too bothered by this but you may want to request higher floors if you are a an early/light sleeper.

Common areas charming and extremely well appointed. The spa level was truly amazing, with a HUGE pool and immaculate facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Turndown service detailed and timely.
Rooms were tight, under-decorated, and not up to the level of comfort and luxury expected at 5 stars/ $850 usd per night. Beds were average, bathrooms dated, materials lackluster.
Didnβt get a βParisβ feel from the rooms. No real street view (just an alleyway).
Jazz club in lobby could be made to feel much more intimate, and book better talent.
Overall a good stay, but at this price point, there are just too many higher quality options in Paris that it will likely be a one time stay.
If you can get a room for around $500 a night here, absolutely recommended.

Really fabulous location, a short walk to the Lourve yet doesnt feel touristy or overly busy. Really fab neighborhood with great restaurants and chic people. The pool, sauna and steam room were unbelievable- clean, quiet and beautiful.
