Just the perfect spot for being close to the main sights of Strasbourg. It is perfectly located in relation to the cathedral, yet surprisingly not at all noisy in our room.
The staff were most obliging, the breakfast was ample, though I guess after a few days it might be nice to have some variation in the hot dishes for breakfast. Having said that, the next few places we stayed at only offered cold cuts and cheeses in the savoury department, so cannot complain.
Incidentally, if you are a fan of flea markets, the Saturday market is just a couple of minutes walk from the back entrance to the hotel. There were lots of artisan food items on sale nearby too.
Nothing.

We were upgraded into a superior room (the suite) and it was luxurious. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, really central, almost directly opposite the cathedral. Welcoming reception staff who were always pleasant.
Excellent location only a few steps from the cathedral and near lots of bars and restaurants.
Room was a bit on the small size( called a comfort room on the description) but was OK. but the bathroom was a good size. We liked the fact that the radiator meant we could control heating manually and keep the bathroom warm.
Kettle and coffee machine gave us a choice of drinks. Staff were more than happy to replenish coffee pods, tea bags and also provided fresh milk, with a choice of warm or cold.
God wi-fi.
Clean.
Bed was large and very comfortable.
Nice bar and reception areas.
Safety deposit box was broken, although we were given the option of storing valuables in the general safe.
Water pressure in the shower was poor.

The staff was very good, communicative, and definitely deserving of a 10.
The rooms were extremely small, with just enough length for the bed and barely enough space for your feet.
The bed was a double, but it was so small that it could only be described as three-quarters, definitely not a proper double bed. Instead of a wardrobe, there was a box to fit the suitcase, as a proper wardrobe was not available.
Mattrrss was not comfortable, and neither were the pillows. No one informed us that the air conditioner was only for cooling.
The cleanliness of the room was good.
However, the cherry on top was the mice in the lounge.
Not just one, but several mice, and they visited us both in the evening and in the morning.
When we informed the staff about the mice, they calmly—and apparently unsurprised—told us that they've been dealing with this issue for four months and haven’t managed to resolve it.
A hotel like this simply cannot have four stars.

The location is great, except it's a bit inconvenient from the train station if you have a heavy suitcase. Breakfast was great, staff was kind, and the room was spacious and very comfortable.
There are some decorative pillows on the bed that looked kind of dirty. Also there was a big baby bassinet in the room? Which was weird.

I had stayed there before so I knew it was going to be good. In fact, it was better: the elevator was larger! the breakfast spread also was much larger with a wonderful variety of tasty options; the staff very competent and helpful, taking time out to find answers to my questions. Their suggestions for restaurants in the neighborhood turned out to be excellent - local delicacies and reasonable prices. About the beds and bathrooms: Americans tend to want everything larger in France, especially beds and bathrooms. I can always tell that a review complaining about small sizes was written by an American. Although I'm a size 14-16, the facilities were comfortable and definitely not cramped or too small for me. The price per night incl. breakfast is definitely competitive, especially considering the location, so close to the cathedral and at least four museums.
Unfortunately, the hotel did not have control over the weather but they made up for it by loaning me a gigantic umbrella in a major down pour at dinner time.

Staff, location, and food were excellent.
The shower drain was backed up. Small flies flying around the shower and was probably related to the backed up drain. The elevator had issues, but I give them credit for trying to fix it when we were there. All-in-all they did a good job and the issues will pop up anywhere in time.

We loved our stay at Le Rohan in Strasbourg! The location is perfect—right next to the cathedral and within easy walking distance to everything. Our room was perfect for two people, very clean, quiet, and air-conditioned, and it was refreshed daily to perfection. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Great breakfast, location and very friendly staff. Clean hotel.
Single room was too small and stuffy and not soundproof.
I didn't sleep too comfortably - pillows too hard, slamming of the doors of the neighbours and light leaking into the room..I paid 387 EUR for 2 nights and was expecting a more comfortable stay, especially that is supposed to be a 4-star hotel

The breakfast was good, but needed more actual fresh fruit. There was some good canteloupe for a brief period one morning, but then it was replaced with mushy canned fruit and there was nothing fresh the the next day except for some overripe whole apples and hard, unripe nectarines. The whole grain breads, cheeses, and yogurts were delicious.
To have an exercise mat available and a place to do some stretches.

Wow, the cathedral right outside your door and teddy bear street. Lovely hotel. Room excellent, balcony overlooking the courtyard. Rooms spacious and clean. Reception staff very helpful and curtious. Would definitely recommend.

We were right in the heart of the Christmas markets and the Cathedral. Our room was very well appointed and on the backside of the property, overlooking their courtyard. This made it very quiet in the evenings, as the markets were incredibly crowded during weekend days. Nice quiet area at the back of the hotel entrance, which gave us a chance to unwind after the markets.
The only negative was the buffet breakfast for 17 euros each. We decided to try it for the first morning of our stay, but were very disappointed. Many of the selections were depleted early and were not restocked. There were minimal choices available for the amount charged. We chose to eat in local patisseries for the following 2 mornings, and enjoyed those much better.

Staff and location are good.
For a 4 star hotel, the condition of the rooms was very disappointing. The hotel does not appear to be fully renovated, and upon entering the room it felt as though no updates had been made for a long time. The towels were discolored, the furniture was in poor condition, and the walls were scratched throughout the room. The flooring was old and dusty, creating an overall impression of poor maintenance.
Additionally, although not directly the hotel’s responsibility, the heating and water heater turned off during the night, and the room temperature dropped to 16 degrees by morning.
No complimentary breakfast, tea, or even basic amenities were offered, which is unexpected for a 4star property and gave the impression of a lack of professional service.

Central location close to the cathedral, super nice staff, comfortable rooms.
The family rooms are two level with a narrow staircase. Hard to get large bags up (we ended up leaving them at the lower level landing). Not a big deal.

Location, cleanliness and functionality
Lack of hooks and racks for towels in bathroom. Be aware no direct access to hotel by car.
