location was SUPERB. I also liked the air conditioning and the fact that it actually worked. After reading a bunch of reviews I had my expectations set to be much worse than what I actually got. The staff was nice. I think I left a pair of shorts.
The shower was a little bit difficult as I am tall and big, so if you're plus size and/or above 6ft definitely consider getting a more expensive room that presumably has a proper sized shower and taller ceiling instead of cozy economy.

The hotel is extremely well-located, very central and within easy walking distance to La Petite France. Many charming streets around to explore.
For the price paid, we felt the facilities fell short. The room and bathroom were cramped, the small fridge provided wasn't cold (and the temperature couldn't be adjusted). And most unfortunately, our room faced a building with a very loud ventilating machine which we could hear through the single-paned window. The staff was gracious enough to allow us to change rooms, but the 2nd room had a ventilation fan in the bathroom that was loud and couldn't be turned off. We didn't want to ask to change rooms again as it was late; luckily we could stop the fan by stuffing a cloth sack against it.

The location and views are great and the rooms are nicely decorated. They have nice amenities in the bathroom.
The shower door did not have a seal and there were gaps between the door and shower walls which caused the bathroom to flood horribly when showering. The street noise can be rather loud at night.

Super expensive. My first night I had a tiny room with the heating on full blast and no external window. I hardly slept. I was told to open the window into the corridor for “air” only to have people peering in at me in bed. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke.

Fantastic location, easy access to boat trips, train ride, the Cathedral and restaurants with excellent access to the Christmas market. The receptionist / concierge was very helpful when my wife had issues entering the hotel. Thank you. The breakfast was good and the chap managing the breakfast area was excellent and works really hard.
Although the hotel was value for money given its location, the room really needs a refresh (painting and a new carpet). Access to the first floor is via 20 steps so not easy for those with mobility issues.

The staff at the reception were a bit rude. The room was very old, hair was everywhere, including the pillow cover, the elevator starts from level 1 meaning u have to carry ur bags one floor up a stair.

The location is amazing right in front of Cathedral and near all the sites to visit. The breakfast was fully loaded with freshly squeezes orange juice and the best scrambled eggs I have had! You cannot fail to have a great stay here.
The toilet roll holder fell off and was left there and not mended throughout of our stay. The toilet rolls are cheap and you get through a lot.

- the room was SMELLY with drains and you could not open the window as we had a room overlooking a wall on the first floor next to the SMOKING terrace against our window

- There was in the room an electrical box that was noisy and we could not close the door on it.

This hotel is in an amazing location! It is right across the street from the cathedral, in the central square in Strasbourg. The rooms are decorated beautifully and I had a view of the cathedral. There are blackout shutters which shut out the noise and darken the room to sleep. A very comfortable room indeed.
I did not have the breakfast so can not attest to that. I did however, look forward to having a drink at the bar but it never seemed staffed or open.

The room was tiny and it lacked air circulation, so the air temperature in the room was too warm and stuffy for us. We had to open our window (our stay was in December) to sleep comfortably through the night.

The location was amazing. We had a Cathedral view and it was beautiful to admire. It was a central location and close to lots of restaurants and shops. The room was perfect for us and included lots of lamps and sockets. It feels a step back in past due to the dated rooms and door lock. The hotel staff were amazing. I like the security since we went for the Christmas Markets. In the evening, they would open the front door and also check to make sure you’re the hotel guests. As well as, ask if anything is needed during your stay. The housekeeping were friendly too.
The hairdryer is quite dated. It’s the classic wall-mounted hose style, so be aware it isn’t very powerful. Also, while the front desk is on the lobby level, to reach the elevator that takes you to the rooms you must climb one tier spiral staircase first. There is a second spiral staircase once you reach the first floor if you prefer stairs over the lift. I didn’t know this beforehand, so just sharing in case mobility or luggage is a concern for you.

As first-time visitors to the Christmas Market in Strasbourg, we're in for an incredible experience! The best part of our hotel is its fantastic location, which puts us right in the heart of all the festive magic. Our hotel view was amazing as it was right in front of the Cathedral. We enjoyed every moment of our holiday adventure!
In the room we are in, I noticed the bathroom sink was a bit too shallow for my liking. Also, I realized there weren't any slippers provided, but I didn’t ask the front desk about that. These are minor things I did not like, but would not have discouraged us from staying at the hotel. Overall, it's a cozy spot!
