There is only a street drop off point which is not directly sheltered from the weather. The access to the lobby is via a short flight of stairs. Although there are handicap lifts, the lifts have to be operated by the hotel staff. Helpful staff though.

I could say " WOW...." I didn't expect them to upgrade us to such a big room! :)
Only the air conditioner was leaking water for a few days, but their technicians would come and fix it whenever I called. Although this was a negative experience during our trip, the technicians and the hotel manager left a very good impression on us. Thank you for their patience!

Breakfast was very satisfactory and the location is strategically superb. The room was well appointed and spacious. Cleaning was alright and regular, when requested. I appreciated the quick revert from HK when ever requested to addl room amenities, especially when we requested for additional water. HK staff is pleasant, and the front desk staff is competent & accomodating. We just didn't have the view of the harbor, but no problem at all since we didn't request it from the start anyway.
There was nothing I could complain in my first experience at the property.

Disappointingly, we did not have an harbor view, which I did ask for as we checked in. Our window overlooked Canton Road and “1818” - which is the old Marine Police HQ. It’s now a luxury hotel and there is with a very good Chinese restaurant called “The Queen” in that complex. Our room was large and had a small separate area for suit cases. The hotel’s location provides excellent and quick access to the Star Ferry terminal, local buses, taxis, and harbor front museums, etc., as well as Nathan Road and more good Chinese restaurants. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable.
There wasn’t a walk-in shower, which was a disappointment as I have difficulty getting in and out of a bathtub. There was an unpleasant odor in part of the corridor. The hotel had what must have been air purifiers strategically placed in an effort to eliminate the odor, which was unpleasant. The room furniture was a little “tired”. I don’t like the toiletries (shower gel, and shampoo and conditioner) which are provided, but are place high up on the wall in the bathtub/shower. I’m short and they’re difficult to reach. I do realize this is how toiletries are provided in most hotels these days. The hand soap provided is about the size of a small flat stone, so much so we went out and purchased some decent size soap bars and a small bottle of shampoo. Note to self - in future always pack a bar of soap, shampoo and a shower cap.

Our family had a fantastic experience at the Marco Polo Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful, especially Ms. Clare, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The room was spotless and very comfortable, making it a perfect retreat after our daily adventures. The hotel's location is also excellent; it’s accessible to many attractions, which makes exploring the area a breeze.
Overall, we highly recommend the Marco Polo Hotel for families looking for a welcoming and convenient place to stay!
One downside was that the pool was too deep for the kids, which limited their enjoyment. Overall, I still highly recommend Marco Polo Hotel for anyone looking for a great stay!

We stayed 5 nights and were sorry to leave. The Continental Club at the Marco Polo HongKong was a quiet, relaxing oasis in the city. The breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail hour offered good food and beverages in a Luxe atmosphere.
The down pillows and bed were comfortable and the long tub gave me hot soaks after a day of sightseeing. The air conditioning worked well. We splurged for the Harbour view and it was spectacular. We watched the light show from our window.
The staff were all friendly and accommodating.
Some reviews said the decor was dated; I'm in my 80s and would call it classic colonial.
We'll rate this among our lifetime favorites.

We stayed at the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel from June 4–6, and our experience was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were immediately welcomed and assisted by Zafar, an incredible gentleman who shows deep commitment and passion for his work. His warm hospitality set the tone for our entire stay.
At check-in, we were offered an upgrade to the Continental Club, which made my birthday stay truly unforgettable. We enjoyed complimentary welcome drinks at the lounge, as well as free breakfast and afternoon tea. Our room had a stunning view of Victoria Harbor, and to top it off, the hotel surprised me with a lovely birthday cake.
Throughout our stay, we were treated exceptionally well by all the staff, especially Zafar. The room and amenities were impeccable—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we are thrilled to have found our forever hotel in Hong Kong. We will definitely keep returning to Marco Polo!

The bathroom needs improvement. The tub/shower is too high - not desirable for older people as it could lead to an accident. The sink's water kept on flowing from the faucet to the counter.

The room type was arranged as earlier requested. The room space is very big and good smell. The staff tried to facilitate us when checking in but, in my opinion, some of those staffs needed more English training
My request at the desk asking someone go to my room to adjust the temperature as it was set at 22C which was very cold. I've asked to set it at 24C, but nothing happened. This might be the language problem from the front staff when confront valued guests to comfort them.

The place may seem old vs the newer hotels which are at par with it, but definitely nice and comfortable. The location was excellent! Very near the MTR stations. Shopping areas were so accessible. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. So accomodating.

Hotel is a dated. Needs to fix drainage in bathrooms. We booked 3 rooms, one had a foul smell in the bathroom which they tried to fix by spraying Lysol but smell was still there. The other room had cigarette smell.

I’ve always loved the location. It’s very accessible to the subway, shopping area & restaurants.
It’s so unfortunate that our bathroom has an old moldy smell coming from the shower curtain. They should replace with new ones or perhaps install glass partitions.

We had connecting rooms with our children. We paid for an upgrade and got a harbor view. The location of the
hotel was convenient.
The lighting in the room could have been brighter. We asked for one bed and our children room
had twin beds and their beds were bigger than ours plus our room was smaller than our kids where
there was just one lounge chair and a desk chair compared to our kids room which had a sitting area
with sofa and chairs plus a walk in closet. We paid for an upgrade for both rooms and I expected they
would be similar.

Location is great - close to the promenade to Victoria Harbor and to Starr ferry terminal. Staff was very attentive. Room was very large and comfortable.
When we arrived they only had our requested triple room on the smoking floor but they did a nice job of offering us a similar room for the first night then giving us a non smoking triple room for the second night.

We stayed in a Deluxe Triple Room and Superior Queen Room on Level 7. Both rooms were spacious and had comfortable beds. The hotel location is very convenient, and the staff members were polite. The fitness centre was clean.
Although we stayed in non-smoking rooms, they still smelled like old smoke for the entire duration of our stay (4 nights) and the bathrooms smelled strongly of bleach/disinfectant. The air conditioning system in the rooms was loud, and the bathroom extraction system was not working. The lighting in the rooms was very dim, and furniture was very outdated.

The service was great. The breakfast had lots of varieties. After complaining, the upgraded room was excellent.
The room was definitely not cleaned properly. The mugs still had old oatmeal pieces stuck in them. The tub had hair. The toilet was not clean. Also the hot water took about 10 minutes to heat up. The carpets have seen better days, but I knew that I was staying at an older hotel. I was extremely tired and had a marathon to run the next day so I just tried to make the most of it. Parts of the hotel smelled like a backed up toilet.
