This lovely Victorian building is in quiet, private walled gardens and is 1.9 mi from Cork city center, with busses stopping outside the door. It is now a 4-star guest house and has free Wi-Fi and parking.

A lovely hotel with clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The bathroom facilities were excellent, with powerful showers. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to walk into Cork from the hotel in around half an hour.
There is a little road noise at night, but not too bad.

The rooms have no ceiling fans in them and ours was a bit warm when we arrived. We opened the windows to let some cooler air in but that let in flies Windows need bug screens. A BIG problem was that there are no blinds in the bathroom area. Because of the location of the room to the road, when my wife was taking a shower, drivers from the elevated road are able to look directly into the bathroom and shower. Not a good situation! Also it would be nice to have sheets on the bed so that we could have a covering if we didnt want the heavy comforter

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view onto the little garden. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The location is right by a bus stop that makes it easy to get in and out of town.
The bathroom was not very clean, and the toilet was loose from the wall. I asked for my room to not be tidied up during breakfast but was ignored. The area is not the best— there’s nothing around except a gas station and a Supermac’s.

We only stayed at Belvedere for 1 night, but the spacious room was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The huge bathroom was also a plus. There is some street noise (we stayed in a front room that faces a pretty major road) but this did not disturb my husband, and it certainly didn’t penetrate my earplugs, which I wear every night anyway. The location is a little outside the centre (it’s a short drive in), but given we had a rental car we were very thankful not to have to negotiate the extremely tight streets for parking regularly. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of cooked foods and buffet items. We warmly recommend Belvedere!

I was super impressed with the decor the first step into the lodge. It was very beautiful inside and out. The staff was terrific especially Eunice, who helped find us a better suited room for my mobility issues on the main floor. It was even better as it had a separate sunroom with a sofa bed for my mother. She loved it! The full Irish breakfast was much more than expected and there was a huge selection of fruit, cereal, cheeses, yogurts, smoked salmon, ham and Irish bread and toast and jam.

The Lodge had multiple bus stops, few steps away which made it convenient to travel to the train station, bus station and city locations, inexpensively. Breakfast was outstanding and the cleaning staff and breakfast staff were excellent.
Our room was on the first floor but there was potential to have a room accessible by stairs so guests need to be aware while booking so as to nite their preference.

Spiders in the bedroom that came out at night (multiple!) and kept me from sleeping comfortably, thought every reservation came with breakfast (it’s a bnb!) but had to pay extra for it, not all the staff was the most friendly, no elevator so had to climb two flights of stairs with our heavy luggage.

The manager just didn’t respond to a query of changing dates. Still waiting. The staff were very abrupt, no good morning or anything civil but tea or coffee ? Sit there. Not convenient unless you had a car. Buses ran late( obviously not the properties fault) so public transportation was not a great alternative in the rain. Would have liked a breakfast menu to browse rather than having it rattled off before even sitting down. The property is very tired and can do with a lot of cleaning. Mold in the shower, flaking paint, couch in the room sagged, felt like little or no thought to the furniture. We stayed in places with antique furniture before but it felt good. This was not the case here. Breakfast was good but not great.

It was a cute place outside. We were close to the city enough to take the bus. There's a fast food place nearby. I can't think of much else because I was so disappointed by the whole thing. It was warm inside.
I want a refund- this place is great at marketing but rubbish at keeping up those appearances once you're there. They had me pay, ignored their promise of a drink and something hot from the oven on their website and led us up to a dirty and dissatisfying room. At breakfast, we could hear all of the employees at the hotel gossiping loudly in the next room. Unprofessional. The food was just fine. We felt unwanted the entire time and like the staff felt we were imposing. I want a refund on my time and excitement I wasted on this during my one and only honeymoon. It was dirty and everyone there seemed annoyed at having guests at all.

Carpet and furniture didn't look or feel clean. Furniture placement at the foot of the stairs made maneuvering the stairs difficult.
