We were right off the Main Street which was incredibly noisy, unfortunately woken throughout the night countless times by a tram and then two girls having an argument which seemed to continue forever. The room was uncomfortably hot even with the radiator turned off, no air con available so just had to open the window ( it would only open so far) and try not to melt. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. We were put into their second hotel which isn’t what you see on the pictures, it was quite dated

Location was in a good part of town with lots within walking distance. Building had nice character. Maintenance staff and staff in the bar/breakfast area were excellent.
Reception/front desk staff could have been more helpful. WiFi reception in our room was bad (mostly not accessible). Three calls to the front desk gave us three different answers and none were accurate. Front desk staff also told us that there was no AC in the room and that they would send a fan up. Maintenance came instead and showed us how to get the AC to work. Alarm went off in the hall and the bedroom so we called to see what was going on. They were unaware of the alarm and said “well we didn’t hear it down here”.

However AC was terrible didnt work at all. I didn’t find out until leaving they had portable fans in stairway closet. The problem was room 226 is directly over the bar, very loud people drinking and laughing, then the DJ & disco/dance music started, super loud, very very annoying between 9 pm and 1am. Another room at the other end would have probably been fine.

The rooms were a bit snug and there were some elements to the room which were in need of attention, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff truly was exceptional.
Be warned that there are MANY stairs. Not only will people with physical impairments have difficulty navigating in and out of the building, but it is also a challenge, just bringing in heavy luggage - though the staff was very happy to help.

In 30 years of traveling the world it was my first time having to pay to check in early at 2pm even thou the room was ready, check in time in 4pm. Paid so we could shower before a concert and there wasn't any hot water. Very disappointed with this and feel the early check in fee is a total rip off. The location was close to St Stephen’s Green and because the tram was right outside, very easy to get many places in Dublin. The room was very clean and rather spacious. When we called the front desk to see if there was a way to cool our room, they did send up a small fan.
There was a nightclub on the ground floor, right outside our room. The room was extremely stuffy and there was no was to even crack open the window to air it out. The music from the nightclub was so loud it was impossible to sleep for quite a long time, which was really tough after an overnight flight.

The staff is amazing. Great value for the money and the breakfast that is included is fantastic. The rooms are a little snug for an American but by European standards they're great. Walking distance to the major sites of Dublin we wanted to see and only two blocks to the airport shuttle bus.

The location was nice and even though it was loud at night.
We arrived at the last day of a very long and uncharacteristic heat wave, so when we checked into our room (on the 3rd floor, right under the roof) the temperature was unbearably hot! We asked for help and got an additional small noisy fan, but even after a few hours, with the fans going and the tiny window open, with no air coming in, the temperature was the same. We again asked if we could switch rooms or if there was anything else they could do, but the staff was just "sorry" and that was it. We tried to find another hotel, but at that late hour and since we are a family of four, I was unable to find anything.
We tried to sleep on top of the covers, with the window open (there is a club below and ventilation) and the loud fans going... but nothing helped - it was the worst night any of us can remember. We all got up with splitting headaches and left the room as soon as we could. We asked to cancel our second night, and the manager very quickly agreed, but also made sure to say that it would only be for the second night. We were able to book for that night at the Crown Plaza Hotel near the airport, and that was amazing!
I followed up with the Harcourt Hotel once we were back home, and at first, they didn't return my call. When I finally reached them, it was extremely disappointing as the hotel just isn't willing to accept any responsibility or care for their guests. I can easily imagine older guests, or anyone with health concerns dying in that room, in similar circumstances in the future, considering heat waves are becoming more common, even in Ireland! Beware and avoid the Harcourt Hotel!

Location in Dublin was great.
I was placed in a room with a broken toilet - non functioning and I had 2 children with me. I was advised that there was no maintenance to repair it and no other available room so to bad. Worst experience ever in a hotel.

Also advertised as a wheelchair accessible which it’s not. They placed my parents in a room right off the elevator which was great but then there was a step to get to the bathroom???? How is this accessible. My elderly parents cannot lift my younger sister who is completely wheelchair bound up a step to the toilet. This needs to be clear to people booking wheelchair accessible but it’s not fully accessible- partially accessible would be the truth.
We were very disappointed with our stay and defiantly not worth the money. I stayed in starcourt last years and was exceptional. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not much! Staff was fine and held our bags
There is a full blown night club run by the hotel. It was a Wednesday and they were BLASTING music until 11pm which made it difficult to get to bed at a good time. It was complete torture even with noise canceling headphones. Keeping the windows closed didn’t help with the sound and it was in bearably hot in the room so you have to make a trade off. The windows didn’t get much air or circulation when opened. Bathroom was old and not great

Great hotel in historic building at the historic location, walking distance (15-20 min) to key sights (St. Patrick Cathedral etc), nice breakfast, spacious rooms. Parking on Sundays is FREE (!), while for other days the hotel staff provides guidance to other parking stations with discounted price. Traditional Irish breakfast has plenty of choice, including black pudding and sausages, good coffee and tea. The staff is very friendly.
The elevator is quite small, bath shower is tiny, and as expected there is no air conditioning in the rooms. We had open windows the whole night, but it was very noisy since the hotel restaurant with a terrace in the street was working till midnight. Also, the beds have very warm blankets which is too hot for summer nights. It may be better to provide an additional bedsheet as an alternative to the blanket.

On the day of check out, my son forgot a brand tee shirt on the bed in his room. We called the hotel reception later the same day to ask them to hold it for a day until we could pick it up, but they did not locate it. It means that a member of staff took it. My son made a mistake by forgetting the t-shirt, but I think its reasonable to expect that the hotel team will safeguard items forgotten by a guest.

The room looked nothing like the photos, the noise coming from the area around and facilities in the hotel was so loud not even earplugs helped. This is the most noisy hotel I have ever stayed in my life. There is zero soundproofing in a very busy street. You hear people having full conversations on the street like they are inside your room. The staff all round were amazing especially Jake working behind the bar . Receptionist were so nice and helpful. Josh on the door very friendly. The staff make this hotel

One of the staff at the front desk was nice. The location was ok. The. Building was lovely and full of character. No heating in lobby so couldn't sit there.

Location is very central within the city. Easy to walk around to where you need to go. The area appears safe. Great for people coming to Dublin to stay out most of the night.
The hotel is by a night club. For us, we were out at the bars so it didn't cause to much issue. If you are coming to Dublin and sleeping Thurs-Sat night and you are not planning to be out until 2a, you likely won't be able to sleep in the room.

Perfect spot, spacious and well appointed. Staff were lovely and helpful.
The noise from the beer garden directly outside the window and inside the building around us was significant. Didn’t bother us because we were so exhausted but might be an issue for others. We had 127 but maybe other rooms are quieter.

We stayed at the Harcourt at the beginning of our trip in Ireland and at the end. At the beginning, we stayed in a triple bed room. The noise next door is a huge problem and we stayed on a Saturday night, but it ended up stopping at around midnight, so we fell asleep comfortably and decided we will still stay there again.
On the second stay, the room was in an odd corner and did not have AC. We requested fans and they never sent them. The noise again was a problem, this time much later into the night. They warn you about the noise but you don't realize until you get there. They also lied about what time the bar closes, which was deceitful and awful. It seems they are trying to cram as many people as possible at the Harcourt, with no regard for their comfort. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting.

The room was comfortable and the location was good, easily accessible by the luas. The bar downstairs is lovely and I had a lovely cocktail. I thought it was all very good for the price.
The room was sort of tucked into the building in an odd way which meant the window was up very high in the wall, with no view or natural light. For the price though this wasn't a big deal!
