It was very clean and the decor was nice. The AC is controlled centrally but the temperature was fine. The person who checked me in was extremely friendly and helpful.

Feels more like a hostel than a hotel (which is not a problem, just an observation). The elevator was not working. The location isn't great for a woman travelling alone. It's walking distance to key attractions and train station, but some of the streets around it felt a bit sketchy.

Given the high ratings I expected more from this property. It was cramped and dingy with no proper lighting options in the rooms. We had to share a communal kitchen with three other bedrooms and as there was no sound proofing we got woken up early by the other visitors to the hotel.

This is my second time to stay here. I like the fact that it’s walking distance from the train station. I like the kitchen facility as well.

Walls are not sound proof. I’ve woken up by the sound of “footsteps”(probably from upstairs) in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I’ve been travelling for years and this is the first time such a thing happens.

Centrally located in University area, easy walking distance to heap of restaurants, as well as centre part of town and piazza. We had a fantastic stay here! The location is ideal – just a 20-minute walk to the station, with easy access to the airport, and only 10 minutes to the city center. The room was easy to access, and having wash and dry machines on the bottom floor was a huge convenience. We especially appreciated the option for a late checkout, which made our departure day much easier. The sheets were very comfortable, and the shower was perfect.

Stayed in the Deluxe Studio which was very clean and comfortable. Great location. Lia checked us in on a Sunday, as she happened to be doing a quality check at the hotel and because it would save us from waiting in a queue on Monday morning. She gave us a lot of recommendations for food and sights as well. This is a welcome and a level of service that you don't get in a lot of places these days and it was much appreciated.

Via Imerio is indeed very busy and loud but they provide earplugs. If this is a problem, ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

The room was spacious and clean. There was a coffee machine we could use. The staff was very kind, she let us know when the room was ready so we could check in a little earlier. And we could leave our luggage after check out and before leaving the city. Location is quite ok, for us it was just a walking distance to the main attractions.

Noisy in the morning, but we expected that. But be aware that it’s located at the one of the main streets, traffic starts early in the morning, garbage is collected during the night etc.

We arrived late in the evening so the reception was already closed (after 7pm), but the instructions to get into the building and how to collect the keys to our rooms were great. Staff was helpful and responsive prior to our arrival. The specials common area (kitchen and dining tables) were nice to have so I could get some work done without staying in my room all the time. There was some complementary coffee offered as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was less prepared to the noice coming from outside the hotel; both students going out and cleaning services operating in the middle of the night. The hotel does offer earplugs, but if you are very sensitive to noice you may want to ask for a room on the side of the inner court.

The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed and pillows.

The reception desk only works 6 days a week, which is not typical of a hotel. Did not make me feel very safe. The room was smaller than expected and although there are teabags in the room there is no kettle to boil water. Everything is charged extra (even though the price is over 100€), if you forget to leave the key card behind they will charge you an extra 5€. Having worked in the hotel business this is something I never heard before.

Our room was right above a bar. I had requested a quiet room months ago and the staff said I requested early check in and nothing they could do. Room was tiny and coffee room next door was not kept. My husband had to clean the coffee pot before he could make coffee. No tissue, no bars of soap, and temperature in the room is centrally controlled. Horrible experience.

There was a common kitchen (for us and 2 other rooms) so we could store the food, drink tea/coffee 4. The staff were very friendly and helpful 5. We arrived late and we were provided all the info on how to get in, what to next, everything was clear and convenient. Hint for those who want to get breakfast: check the hotel's webpage

It might get a bit noisy if the window is left opened: there are lots of students out there. But the window is good with blocking the noise

The property is excellent clean comfortable and in a great location. But what made the biggest difference for us was the staff especially Lea. She is an absolute gem of a person. We stayed overnight before our flight back to the USA. Unfortunately on our way to Bologna someone stole our bag with my passport on the train and I could not board my flight home. Lea went above and beyond to help us during a very stressful moment. She kindly let me stay extra time so I could figure out my next steps, helped with printing all the paperwork for the US Embassy and supported me with everything I needed. I am truly grateful for her kindness and professionalism. Almarossa is an amazing place to stay and Lea made it even better. Highly recommend!

Room is very clean, secure and up to date. Location is a 15 minute walk from the train station and another 12-15 minute walk to the main sights, which is great. The employees went above and beyond to help us out with literally everything, which we are truly thankful for. Definitely recommend!

One suggestion is to install another means of lighting in the room, as when the window closes to drown out noises from the street, the room gets quite dark, but that might have been an issue only to our room. Another small suggestion is to include a bin in the bedroom too, as the one in the bathroom is quite small and not that convenient (even though they do clean the room daily which is amazing).

Fabulous location, close to many of the top must-see sights in Bologna. Grocery store just a few doors down the sidewalk, and nice kitchenette. It was very quiet to sleep, and the windows had inside shutters that effectively blackout the bedroom. The bed was comfortable, and the apartment was very clean. I like that there was a balcony and a drying rack for clothes. Spacious and comfortable stay. I'd stay there again.

The apartment was listed as having a washing machine, but there was no washer in my unit. That is the one thing I wish I'd had. Otherwise, this is a fabulous location and a great place to stay.
