Perfect location, and a quiet street. But the main bonus is our Host - Fabio. Super nice and friendly, helped with everything starting from the parking place till the taxi to the airport and even woke up at 5 am when we called him that the transfer didn't arrive and he resolved it in 10 min. Definitely, we will come back and stay in one of Fabio's flats.

Bed linens were a bit strange, but were immediately changed after we request Fabio to help. Well done!

Everything about this place was spot on. From the location in the middle of the action, and a well appointed large space which was perfect for 3 of us. The AC worked nicely, which was great! We really liked the charm of the building too. Finding a bit to eat was a walk less than 10 feet in any given direction, as soon as you step out of the door. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. No hesitation required on this one, you're making the right choice.

The apartment was extremely clean and location was amazing. The neighborhood travestevere was exciting. The best part was that the owner is responsive and helpful throughout our stay. He even was able to get us a taxi for 5 people and luggage at the end to go to the train station! Wonderfully working air conditioning that was quite welcome since we were in Rome during a heatwave.

It is a little tight for 5. We are a family of 5 and it was a squeeze but we made it work because we were out mostly everyday.

The manager was always available. He responded quickly, clearly, and with an understanding of the role. A pleasure to work with. He was gracious with suggestions and was able to book an airport taxi for us. It's this level of Guest Service that one expects. The location is cool, with great shops within a short walking distance. If you're up to it, basically every monument is within 30 -40 minutes away by foot.

My family and I enjoyed all of it. Location, cleanliness, amenities, etc. all in good order.

The location was great and the hospitality of Fabio was really good.

It was not that clean and old equipment in the apartment, beds were not comfortable and there were missing a lot of kitchen appliances and the ones there were old and full of grease such as the oven. The shower was tiny and not very uncomfortable to take a shower on it. The bedroom with 2 beds was very old, nos possible to have dark in the morning and the furniture was falling apart. Same in the big bedroom furniture was of very bad quality. The mattress in the living room was a pice of metal with a sort of bed, very uncomfortable.

Fabio was an amazingly helpful and friendly host! Due to a miscommunication, Fabio ended up waiting for us at the airport for nearly an hour, but still cheerfully picked us up and even held our luggage so we could explore the neighborhood before check-in. He was quick to respond to any concerns and give recommendations on what to do and where to eat. The location in Trastevere is also ideal, as nearly everything is at most a walk of about 30 minutes, including the Vatican and the Colosseum, and you're spoiled for choice when you come home for dinner every night. If you want to stay at a place where you're treated like an old friend, I can't recommend this apartment enough!

The sofa bed was on the soft side, but this was just a very minor annoyance compared to all the pros!

The property is located in Trastevere which is an amazing location. It’s full of locals and it was such a good experience.You are right in the heart of all of the restaurants and bars. We really love the location of the property. Most of the major attractions are within 10 - 20 min walk. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and all of them serve delicious food!

The property doesn't have any elevator. As we were traveling with elderly people, it was a disadvantage for us. Also, we were 5 people staying at the apartment with only one Washroom, a bit inconvenient.

The pictures listed on the Booking.com app did not reflect the actual Casa Monticell. A complete misrepresentation of the property. The furnishings, facilities and layout were different. We were unpleasantly surprised by the outrageous disparity of what was presented online and what we experienced in person. The owner should update his pictures on Booking.com - the pictures of the property are NOT the same. Was quite a disappointing experience overall.

The apartment was clean and functional and included all expected amenities for our weekend. The location is great and in the center of things. A lot was going on right under and in the attached piazza. The location is at walking distance from the Jewish section including the Shul and Kosher stores. It is possible to walk to the roman forum, the Vittorio Immanuel monument and Piazza Navona. In summary Casa Monticello offers a very fair and well valuated deal. Moreover Fabio the owner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to assist in every way possible. [Regarding Shabbas for observant Jews the apartment offers a fair solution since keys are available. However a "key-belt" must be available].

The place was exactly what we needed. The description in the site was very loyal to what it was in reality. Perfect for a couple with children, or two couples. There is also room for more people to sleep in the living room. Fabio was super nice, received us in person and was very attentive to all our needs. There could have been head towels. I always like a towel to dry my hair. But it is not essential. Maybe if I had requested, Fabio would had brought.

The location can’t be beat. We walked to everything you could want to see in Rome. Great restaurants within two minutes, shopping and the all important gelato is 1 minute from the front door. Fabio the host was very helpful when needed. The apartment was clean.

As others have said, there are many photos and we stayed in the apartment in the last few photos. Darker apartment with no living space just a small kitchen table and the bed were double sized, too small for my husband and I to share. There was one air conditioner in one room which was tough for the other bedroom.

Great location, easy to get to main attractions either walking or by public transportation (bus). Lots of food options around, a short walk to lovely Trastevere. Fabio is quick to respond to messages and provided good suggestions too. The apartment is quite spacious and fully equipped. Beds are comfortable and it's a quiet area.

Nothing, maybe just needs a new shower head as this one is not spraying equally

The host was the best part of the experience. Fabio is Mr. Fabulous. He was very responsive and went out of his way to help. For e.g. when we found out there was no washing machine he did the laundry for us the same day. This is just one of the examples. Fabio is also very punctual. If you need airport transfers I recommend him without hesitation. The apartment itself was spacious and had separate areas for the kitchen, luggage storage and sleeping quarters. Location is good. Lots of good restaurants nearby. But it can get a bit noisy until 1 AM as there is a bar right under the window. You are usually quite tired by the end of the day so sleep was generally not a problem.

The bed could have been more comfortable. It had a long rut running the width. The bathroom was quite dysfunctional. No stands and hooks. Only one person could take a hot water shower and we would need to wait a minimum of 30 to 40 minutes for the water to heat up again. You can't help but notice these when you are staying for 5 nights.

Great location in short walking distance from all the main attractions as Campo do Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Jewish Ghetto, Piazza Venice, Trastevere etc. The place is spacious and clean with all the required facilities. Fabio was extremely kind with great sense of understanding of hospitality. He assisted with keeping our luggage after check out time and was super responsive to all request. We will come back for sure.

Location can't be beat. In 8-12 minutes walk you can be in Trastevere, Pantheon, Campo del Fiore. Insanely convenient to everything we wanted to see. For our family of four (two teenagers) the setup with two bedrooms was perfect. Nice to have the kitchen as well for storing drinks. Fabio was an excellent host. He arranged our pickup and drop off from the airport and everything was seamless. I spent a lot of time researching where to stay and I'm so happy with our choice!

The shower was fine, just very small.

The accommodation is located in the center of the lively Trastevere. We walked everywhere, we visited all attractions on foot. Restaurants, shops a few steps away, we couldn't have found a better place for our stay.

As a family of 5 with a small 1-year-old child, we are very happy with our stay in Fabio's apartment. Landlord was very helpful and took care of us – we are very thankful for that. Thanks to Fabio, we got to the apartment smoothly, his friend picked us up from the airport CIAmpino, and we paid a standard price. He also helped us with the keys. We found the apartment clean and fresh to move in. The location is fantastic – you could say right in Ancient Rome. We did all our sightseeing on foot and managed to visit all the places we had planned. Our flight was early in the morning, and once again Fabio’s friend was punctual in taking us to the airport. I am very grateful to Fabio for his help and great place. We’ll definitely remember him next time.

Close to everything that we needed and the host is just wonderful and very helpful.

Wish we had a sitting room to gather in the evening but nonetheless we enjoyed our stay very much. The master bedroom bed could be a little bit bigger but we made it work.

Plenty of space, clean, fast wifi, and the location was great! Within 20 minute walk to most of the major monuments. Several restaurants literally right at your doorstop. We recommend going to Mammos for breakfast! You can't go wrong with any of them. Our host was very friendly and was available nearly 24/7 with any question.

Although the room was spacious, none of the beds were comfortable. If you have back or neck problems, just be sure to bring additional support. The noise from the outside also can be very loud at night, and it extends to 2-3am in the morning. Luckily I brought some ear plugs so that really helped. Since we are located on top of a restaurant/bar, the smoke from people can sometimes seep into the room through the stairway. One night it was uncomfortable, and you can't open the window or else you'll get more smoke or noise. Hot water is limited, so just be sure to take quick showers!

Great location with short distance to all the main attractions! We have a huge buggy so the property being just few steps above the ground level made it easy. Host Fabio is very nice and helpful! Would definitely come back again!

Absolutely Perfect! We had an incredible stay in Rome! The apartment's location is absolutely unbeatableβ€”we could walk to everything, and there were fantastic restaurants right on our doorstep. Casa Monticelli is at the center of Trastevere nightlife! The space is spacious with more than enough room for 4 people. Sleeping was extremely comfortable, even with the noisy nights downstairs. Conveniently located near Piazza Trilussa (which is literally around the block). Various choices for eating local Roman and Trastevere foods. Fabio was an INCREDIBLE host! Not only guiding us to the rental but making sure all accommodations were set before leaving. Communication with him was elite! Definitely exceeded all expectations of our stay and I was extremely grateful for his availability and suggestions.

Honestly, the only complaint I would make (since, of course I am a spoiled U.S. citizen) is that the hot water to shower was limited. Only one of us was able to enjoy warm water per day. We even strategized our shower routines, yet it was to no avail. Not a big deal, like I said, we are just spoiled in that sense.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment is in a perfect location, within walking distance of Rome's main attractions, restaurants, cafΓ©s, and public transportation.
