They charge for everything. Their breakfast was not up to par for what you pay….hockey puck hash browns, and jerky bacon.

Close convent place to Areas we needed to visit.

Self check in I feel is not personal even though the staff were great. Also, felt that the bed space could be better rather than the huge bathrooms. To get into bed you either climb on from the end or one side of the bed from your floor space nothing like having access to either side of the bed. Other than that great place to stay, staff are fantastic, spotless clean!

citizenM Rome Isola Tiberina is a modern and very centrally located hotel. It's located right next to the River Tiber, and a 5-min walk to the neighborhood of Trastevere known for delicious Roman restaurants. The hotel is also a 10 min walk to the Pantheon, and a 15-20 min walk to the Colosseum & Trevi Fountain. If you stay here, there's no need to take public transit! The rooms in this hotel are also impeccably clean. I enjoyed the modern features of the room. All room features (including lights, blinds, and the TV) are controlled by the room's iPad. I really enjoyed the hotel's lobby area. Breakfast is extra, but worth it if you are on the go since it offers a great selection of healthy options. The refillable water fountain had both still & sparkling water options. So cool! I also enjoyed the hotel's roof deck area, which had its own self-serve bar, which charges you by the type of drink you select. Overall, I had an amazing stay here.

My only complaints about the hotel are that I wished it had its own fitness center, and its own onsite laundry room for guests that need to wash their own clothes for longer stays.

You have to request house cleaning on the tablet that's provided to you in the room. Everything is done on the tablet actually, even to control the TV and the lights. If you don't know and/or forget to select the option to do house cleaning on the tablet every day, they will not clean your room even if you hang the sign on the door. I wasn't aware of this and so they only went to my room once in the 7 days I was there. This was my only issue. The stay was otherwise a dream.

There is no cleaning every day you need to ask for it in time... but what is the time? Older people who had issues with tech had a cold night till i showed them how to use the tablet.

The Hotel is well located right by the Tebere River with very easy access to Trastevere and a short walk to the Pantheon. It is a very modern facility and has good energy and vibe. The staff was friendly and responded to our needs quickly.

I did not quite fancy the Ipad mini that control the blinds, the TV, the lights, and the Air conditioning. It is not just a bit complicated, but actually inconvenient... you spend a lot of time finding the darn thing just to turn on a light! In addition, our room (246) was too small, and not very well distributed. It's funny that this hotel claims to have the best pillows and we (4 people in two different rooms) did not find them that comfy.

Although the room is not big everything was very comfortable - the bed, the space, the curtains (the night curtain keeps the room dark - i want one like this at home). There is a little noise when ambulance/police use their sirens but other then that it is quiet. Great location - not in the middle but walking distance from many many places. Great eating options in the close Trastevere and all around and many bus lines if you don't feel like walking.

We liked most things. The staff was not that knowledgeable but they were there from another country. They struggled with the systems and were not able to give advice or recommendations. They were wonderful though.

The location cant be beat. The staff are SUPER nice and helpful, and very international. There's no business center. BUT you can print out. This wasnt clear to me at first.

The rooms a SO small. You cant even move around. The breakfast, many said was great. It is good, but nothing so impressive. The automation is over-the-top for GenX and above. No way to call the lobby. Hard to turn things on and off except throught the ipad.

Nice and modern hotel, superb location - not super central therefore very quiet, but also located walking distance from everything you want to see and do in Rome.

The hotel is basically an automated hotel. The check in and check out is automated and done using an iPad. You have an iPad to control your room, they won't clean the room unless you SPECIFICALLY ask, through the iPad, a day before. There are no facilities like kettle in the room itself. Breakfast is simple but good.

The pricing on this was suspicious. I looked online later and the price dropped significantly. Marriot (owner of CitizenM) wouldn't entertain their Fair Price Guarantee as it was booked via booking.com. So paid much more than I should have. Which as we all know puts a damper on your experience. Nice property but knowing I paid loads more than others makes me doubt booking on 3rd party platform. There isn't value to it and the hotel itself won't help as you are on your own with booking.com.

An absolutely perfect stay in Rome. The location is unbeatable - right next to the Tiber River (perfect for morning coffee with a view) and close to everything. The hotel is high-tech, modern, and incredibly clean. As a couple, the room size was ideal for us. We especially loved the atmosphere in the lobby, it’s a great place to relax and meet other travelers. Safety was a top priority here, which I appreciated—secure elevator access and a guard at the door made us feel very safe. The staff were phenomenal and the iPad check-in was seamless. The hotel caters for everything you need for a city break. We particularly like the king size bed, which can be hard to find in hotels without paying a premium. I wish the telly was not connected to the tablet that controls the room. It works ok for all the rest, controlling lights and temperature, but controlling the television is really annoying, channels never work or connect. I wanted to have a quiet night and just put some telly on, (I like to fall asleep with a bit of telly on) instead I had to spend the night troubleshooting the problem with the staff, calling several times as it kept not working, even after it was rebooted, and it never was solved properly. I stayed in this hotel once before and had a similar problem. Very frustrating.

Superb location 10 minutes or so from anything you could be after. Clean and modern rooms. Breakfast in the lobby was simple and accessible even just for one croissant charged separately. Iced coffee was good and easy to take with us. Staff was all super friendly and helpful. CitizenM: you know what you’ll get. Good room, clean, proper bed, etc.

Rooms can be a little noisy, more than I expected. The shower only has one temperature, I think that’s because of the low water pressure. The rain shower is more a drizzle shower. I had a room on the Via Beatrice Cenci side and that’s also where most of the supply (dry cleaning) is happening. Can be a bit annoying with slamming doors and noisy containers.
