The location was perfect, abt 30 min walking time to the Colosseum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain. We were warmly welcomed, able to stow bags safely while touring and waiting for room to be available. A delicious full breakfast every morning. All staff were very friendly and helpful . We especially enjoyed chatting with Leonardo every morning. We were able to get a room w 3 twin beds, perfect for our party. Room was clean and modern and comfortable. We also enjoyed the lovely rooftop bar twice during our 4 night stay.
Little things: Our room could have used 3 hooks to hang robes or towels. Our toilet seat kept slipping under us, we were too busy touring and kept forgetting to mention it, so that’s on us.

Love this place! The breakfast was great. The staff was awesome and very helpful, especially Gina always asked if we need anything and Manuelle made the best coffee in the breakfast area. Reception staff was pleasant and helpful too. The location was walking distance to pantheon and Trevi fountain. Rooms kept clean and nice.

The hotel itself was great! The staff were exceptional. We interacted with three of the front desk staff and they were all helpful and very responsive to our needs, which included accommodating an extra night stay due to my wife having broken her ankle on day three of our stay in Rome. Special thanks to Caesar who assisted us upon our return from the hospital. The breakfast staff were also fabulous, as was the food. The staff made a difficult situation for us more bearable.

Breakfast was very nice, traditional Italian pastries plus hot eggs and bacon! We arrived hotel early at 1100 and were checked in immediately (check-in was 1400)! Leonardo was very pleasant and helpful during our stay. Local pizza place (Roscioli’s) and great gelato place were just 10 steps outside hotel entrance. Easy walk to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain. Taxi service at front door of hotel (hotel called and taxis arrived 3-4 minutes) plus 2 ATM’s within 4-5 minute walk of hotel. Rome water spout to fill water bottles was 2-3 minute walk from hotel. Convenient & comfortable and always felt safe walking around area. Rooftop terrace was nice, had good food and drinks were reasonable to us. We were in Room 111 close to elevator and stairs and had view of a cafe and restaurant on side of hotel that were also enjoyable!

Absolutely loved the location. Perfect for walking to most of the attractions, we walked to everything except the Vatican. Roscioli is right over the road, and they have a little seating area for hotel guests where you can get your pizza and enjoy a rest. The restaurant Roscioli is also just there, and was great to get a booking there, then just walk 50m to the hotel. Fatamorgana the best gelato place is too, as well as two family owned leather stores that are great value. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, and they made you a decent coffee there too.
The room size (small standard) is very small. We did know this going into it, so it wasn't a surprise really, though it is hard to visualise it. Needed to walk sideways to get between the clothes hanger and the bed, and we couldn't walk past each other - one person would need to stand in the door way or get on the bed first

The location is right in the center of everything. Only a 20-25 min to some of the major attractions (colosseum, fountain, Pantheon, etc). The staff was also able to book us a hotel to the airport in the morning.
The room was pretty small and the AC didn't work. We were told all we had to do was set the temp and it would work. My wife even went downstairs to let them know and nobody came up to fix it. It never turned on the entire night, so we ended up opening the window to let some cool air in. That was a horrible idea as every bird, person, and car decided to make noise that night. We probably ended up getting an hour of sleep.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Smeraldo. The location is excellent; it was wonderful being close to shopping, wonderful restaurants, etc. and the rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, and the staff is top-notch. One of our family members needed to see a dentist, and the staff even directed us to a local dentist a short distance away. They went out of their way to ensure a delightful experience. Many thanks!

The hotel is newly remodeled with a very tasteful design. Th breakfast buffet was exceptional with a lot of options and the cappuccino was delightful. the staff was very accommodating and helpful with answering questions about the city, making arrangements and even loading suitcases into the taxi!
