Because it is right in town, it can be noisy outside, but that didn't bother us at all. I wore earplugs and slept well. My kids didn't need them. And I loved opening the windows in the morning and evening to hear the sounds of the street below, and sometimes music.

Location and the courteous staff. Especially Michela at the front desk was exceptional - even help us lug large suitcases up stairs! And Manuel’s cappuccinos are something we remember from our 2016 trip and just as good.
Elevator doesn’t come down to the ground floor. So you have to lug your suitcases up… and right now there is construction going on before the property that become noisy at around 6:30 am.

Good location central to all main attractions which could be reached in a 30 minutes gentle walk.
A well stocked breakfast option and a superb roof terrace bar.
The townhouse was completed in july 21 and the rooms are well furnished. Our family of 5 had ample space.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
This isnt a moan but if you stay here you have to understand that you are in central rome so you will have city centre noise at night. The benefits of the location will have a balance

We were a family of 5 and had a 2 bed 2 bathroom flat in the building next door and had breakfast in the hotel. The flat was excellent, well equiped, compact but everying you needed. Also spotlessly clean. The location was great. The staff were super helpful. Breakfast good too.
Nothing really. A little noisy in the eve but a very minor issue given the great location

Smeraldo Hotel's location was fantastic. All Rome's sights were easily accessible, with lovely local bars and restaurants close by. We enjoyed lovely walks everyday from the hotel through the old City. The beds were really comfy and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh. The breakfast was very nice. Everyone in our party said they would definitely come back to this hotel again. It was great value for money. Donal

It provided the perfect amount of space for a family of 4 - plenty of room - and the kitchen and sitting area were perfect. And, maybe most important of all, the ACs kept the rooms nice and cool during the 100+ F outside.

We had two townhouses, next door to the actual hotel: a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom with a balcony. The pictures on the website do not do them justice. They were gorgeous, very modern, very clean, with lovely bathrooms and very well appointed kitchens. Very comfortable beds and lots of space for the 7 of us. The ac was excellent, which in August was so welcome. Staff were all wonderful and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants, cafes, bars, and sights.
Breakfast had many selections, both hot and cold, and the servers at breakfast very personble. They knew us and what we each liked after the first day. Great restaurants nearby, within walking distance of all sights, some a little further than others. Great place to stay while in Rome.
