The pools and grounds are beautiful. The rooms could use a little bit of updating but still nice especially with the ocean view.
Not much entertainment outside of the pool but I was ok with that. The new things they do have to offer like beach night still cost although it’s on the beach. The hotel prices are much pricier than precovid of course which was the last time I went.

I liked all the facilities they have, the pool next to the beach was really nice, the service was really nice as well. We could use the facilities after the checkout, which it was really convenience since we have to wait for our flight. The room was good for the price and everything was really clean.
I did not like so much the fact that they have a sofa bed to accommodate people, I would rather prefer another bed. The building was so big that sometimes to go to some place you have to walk a lot as well.

The safety. There was always someone by the front door and not anyone could drive up the ramp to the hotel entrance, not even grub hub or tour buses. That made us feel safe.

The hotel is amazing!!! It has 2 different pool areas which are incredible! The room was amazing with such a nice smell to it. Really comfy bed and pillows and a beautiful bathroom with a big bath tub! Our room looked right over the beach and the pool area which was the best to wake up to. We had a great time at Westin Lagunamar and are already planning our trip next year. The staff were amazing! Friendly, basically wouldn’t let us do anything! Breakfast buffet at Oceano every morning was excellent, and the staff (Jose and Guillermo?)were so friendly and we enjoyed talking with them every morning. Since we’re a couple we spent most of our time at the quiet pool. It was a great location! The pool concierge (especially Will.I.Am and Isaac) made our time at the pool and beach very enjoyable. This was a relaxing vacation so we spent most of our time at the pool and enjoyed it immensely. The location is right in front of La Isla which was fun to watch people or eat dinner. It’s definitely not a party place, which was right up our alley. It’s also not an AI, but has a full kitchen (1 bedroom) so you can make meals if you choose. The grocery stores are relatively close. We went to Soriano (walking distance), but next year we’d take the bus to Chedraui Selecto which is farther down the strip.
The only complaint I have, that isn’t really too bad, is the first room we were given. It was in building 14, ground floor, and it was awful. I’m assuming it had water damage after the hurricane or AC issues because the mold, mildew, musky scent of the room was awful. We slept there that night because we arrived fairly late, but requested to change rooms the next morning. The front desk happily changed our room to one located in building 6 (main building), 3rd floor. This room was perfect! No smell! It did take all day to get the room though. We weren’t able to get in to the new room until 4:30 p.m. with standard check in for new guests being 4:00 p.m. There’s not really a reason for current guests having to wait so long for a room to be ready, especially since there was a room issue that caused the change. It was off putting and did feel intentional. Management and the cleaning staff should make an issue like this a priority and get the guest in the room as soon as possible. We did have an issue in the new room with an AC leak (dripping rapidly from the ceiling causing a giant puddle) in the bathroom, but maintenance fixed that quickly. My only other concern of the property is that it appears like general maintenance isn’t being done as often as it should be done. It could also be because we went after hurricane Beryl and they hadn’t had enough time to fix things. These things won’t deter us from returning and weren’t especially bad.

I have stayed here many times, and the facilities and location are really top notch. I was traveling alone, so I wanted something near the Isla mall and restaurants, which I right across the street. The pool area and beach front are probably the nicest in Cancun. I would highly recommend.
The only issue is I was approached multiple times about the Timeshare presentation, which gets annoying.

I liked the ocean view and the amenities. I enjoyed the beach, the pools, the morning yoga and the aqua aerobics at noon. The beaches were beautiful and the hotel was in close walking distance to both the Soriana for groceries and La Isla for restaurants and shopping. All the staff were really friendly. Enjoyed having a kitchenette and a washer and dryer. The room was spacious.
The room was joined to another room and we could hear a kid having temper tantrums. They left a letter at our room to come down to get our welcome package and welcome drinks which were either a pina colada or coffee of the day. The welcome drink ended up being a lame americano coffee and I was not even able to pay the difference to get a nicer drink like a latte or cappuccino. This welcome drink was a disappointment. Really…how much does a drink cost in comparison to your stay at this hotel. They could do better.

Absolutely beautiful resort and location! The views of ocean are stunning, and the infinity pool is amazing. It’s heated to a comfortable temperature if needed. Hammocks available for napping. The beach is just steps away, and the water and beach are fantastic.
We liked that it was not all inclusive so that we could dine at many of the amaxing and eclectic restaurants that Cancùn offers, all within walking or a short bus or taxi ride from the resort. However, resort and pool side dining is available. Our room was clean and modern. Excellent staff and service!!
This resort is also directly across the street from an outdoor mall that includes luxury shopping and dining, and a small supermarket is about 3 blocks walking. Very convenient for picking up items for your room. We went through about 2 dozen mangos in 6 days!

Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the experience. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent maid room service. Ate at Oceans restaurant buffet breakfast and Italian dinner night and food was ok, not great. Dune sports bar food and drinks were good. But we didn’t go there for the food, we went there for the awesome beach location and pools. Surprisingly, the bed linens were not our Favorite - sheets were stiff and noisy and the blanket on the pull out couch bed was thin and scratchy.

Location was wonderful! Across from high end mall, safe, plenty to eat nearby and most importantly the amazing beach was private!! Clean rooms, pools and grounds. The rooms were spacious with kitchens, washers and all the necessities one would need for well over a week. You really don’t need to leave the resort at all to have an amazing time. The resort isn’t “all inclusive” and that’s why we mainly chose it. Space at pool, space in lounges and plenty of space throughout.
The cleaning ladies would ring bell in the morning and if you weren’t ready by 9am they would never come back till late evening. Also, we had concierge wake us up at 9am two days in a row by calling the room to see if we needed anything…most likely trying to find an “in” for their time share appt. As stated before the NON all inclusive aspect was nice, however the food was the same throughout the hotel so it mine as well have been “all-inclusive” with the same menu, same food throughout. Food wasn’t that great and was expensive.

We stayed in a 1 bdrm suite with pool view. Property was well maintained and beautiful. Our room was nice and spacious and fully stocked with all soaps and detergents -even free laundry detergent. The kitchen was a great way to save a little money on food. Pretty good size unit for a family of 4. Location was amazing too -across the street from Isla shopping center. King bed was extremely comfortable and soundproofing was perfect. We slept really well.
The bathtub had a hair that wasn't ours. And the washing machine was a little weird. The water level didn't ever seem to fill up past the clothes and we didn't even have a lot of clothes in the machine. Regardless, the place was fabulous!

Room was not ready at 4pm. I had to call the front desk several times. When the room was assigned, I went to the room and there were guests still in the room. Finally, I was assigned a room on a lower floor. Not a good experience!!

Paradise. All you need to know. Get a villa and stay in luxury. This place is walking distance to the top mall for shopping or dinning. Literally the property has everything for you not to go outside and just stay in there. Their restaurants are solid. Nice buffet for breakfast. Great bars at the pool and the infinity pool for great romantic moments. Two 24/7 jacuzzis and solid views on the rooms. Literally besides the fact that they were remodeling the lobby (which one appreciates in the long run of course the maintaining of the hotel) I have zero complaints. It’s a gorgeous property and top attention. Plus bonus because the villa has everything you need for living. Washing drier machine. Your own hot tub with a view. Full kitchen. TVs in room and living room. Pure comfort.
I didn’t like much the fact that they took so long on the check in. That’s all I can say negative. But they do try to be super nice and welcoming and that’s why. I’d rather have fast check in and have a concierge to talk to whomever wants the nice long welcome.

The bed was uncomfortable, with an overly soft mattress and very poor-quality pillows. The linens smelled strongly of bleach, which was unpleasant for someone sensitive to odors. The staff were average at best; even after leaving a tip at breakfast, there was no acknowledgment and the attitude felt unwelcoming.
Secondly, I had booked an ocean-view room and had informed the hotel that it was my birthday. Not only did I receive no birthday greeting or surprise, but we were given Room 167 in Building 1, which was located in a sunken area, with only a rocky hill visible from the balcony. When I complained, I was told that no other rooms were available and that they could change the room on the second day. We were then moved to the 6th floor, which truly had a beautiful ocean view.
