This hotel just WOWed us with such a sweet and romantic welcome in our room - though we were just staying for the night. It was such a treat to see their art work with the towels and the nice cake they left for us, as we were on our honeymoon. Definitely value for money and is in a good location. The room had everything one needs for more than a comfortable stay.
Wish there was free parking on-site and heads up if you're travelling in a car.

We were happy with the location of this hotel and our Superior Twin Room was very comfortable and good value for money. We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. There is direct access to the Lambton Quay shopping area and Cable Car Station via a lift at the rear of the bar/restaurant, and also a lift in the neighbouring hotel. We had a hire car and had to pay 25.00 NZD per night to park in Prime Parking next door.

Usual Novotel - comfortable and good breakfast.
Receptionist didn’t know much about parking in the car park next door , didn’t inform us of breakfast times etc and didn’t take our payment which meant they had to contact us and ask for payment over the phone - we had booked lots of accommodation through booking.com and presumed it was pre paid like most others. Location looked close to waterfront on map but it’s on a hill so you either have to go a long way round or go down a lot of steps.
