The breakfast was a great starter to my two days there. Enjoyed having a casual breakfast.
My room was nicely done, and I appreciated having a mini-fridge. The street-facing room was a little noisy, both with vehicular traffic and pedestrians. I had the front room directly over the entrance for the underground car park, so the noise of the garage door opening was a little startling. All and all, the breakfast made up for any issues with noise for me. I would gladly stay here again. I would just request a quieter room.

The problem with silence. At night at about 4-5 o'clock I woke up from noise and vibration. I believe the hotel turn on laundry at night. If you want to sleep at night, then this option is not for you.

I bed was really comfortable and the room was very warm for the cold weather. I could also pay later to have the breakfast and the location was great as others have mentioned in their comments, it's very close to tourist locations within walking distance. A lot of restaurants as well.
There was a bit of a sewer smell, not the staff's fault. That happens when you haven't ran the water in the bathroom in a while, like open the faucets or sometimes even flush the toilet. I stayed only one night so I didn't see the point of changing rooms, wasn't bothered by it.

The people are nice. The location is fairly good, 10 minutes walk to Bolhao, 3 minutes to metro
The single room. The room itself is ok. But the bathroom is so extremely small you can't fit in there to stand straight while you wash your face, and I'm quite little. I stayed at small rooms before and never complained about the size but this was too much. The shower has very high borders and it's also very small, so it's a real problem to get in and out. Also sadly it wasn't very clean when I checked in. They do have daily cleaning but something went wrong on the first day. Then the 'balcony' is a space with walls higher than human's height and it has very old air conditioning right at my window. I didn't use it but neighbours had the AC on all night and I couldn't sleep because if the noise it produced even with the closed windows. Also the WiFi interrupted all the time, and I was working, so it was very inconvenient. The pillows were too soft and thin. I'd say for one night the place is ok but no more. Too bad cause the personnel is nice, bit the single room is just too uncomfortable.

They say it's all about location. This hotel is just 15 min walking distance from the old part of the city where you find all the attractions.
You get good value for money here.
They still use old fashion physical keys which you need to leave at the front desk when leaving the hotel. I actually like this as you don't have to worry about it once you're out.
You can tell the rooms need refurbishing. Everything has the feel of 80s, which is not necessary bad, but one can tell it's outdated.
On the other hand, the rooms are cleaned and maintained, although in my particular room there was quite some humidity on the corners where the paint and wall mud was starting to fall off.

The room was a little on the basic side, but the location and the staff were excellent. This is a traditional portuguese pensão that has been modernised to some extent. Parking is underneath the hotel for €10 per day and there was a great little flea market in the gardens near the entrance to Marques square on Sunday morning. Air con in the bedroom.
The room was quite small but as it was cheap it was to be expected.

Most of the staff were really attentive, especially the ladies looking after the breakfast buffet (they made us freshly fried eggs every morning and made sure we could get natural yoghurt instead of flavoured options).
The room was modest and only had a small window without much sunlight coming in. It is definitely in need of renovation, however, as long as it is clean (and it was), it is suitable for a short stay (especially if you’re not planning on spending a lot of time in the room).

The staff were excellent, friendly, professional. The room was great, I use ear plugs so if there was noise, I didn't hear it. The bed was perfect, firm, just how I need it for my back. Pillows were great too. Had the 10€ breakfast. It's cold meat, cheese, bread, cornflakes, fruit, yoghurt, Coco pops, coffee machine. No other option that I was aware of. It was a good clean place. Not rough at all. 20 min walk to centre, or 5 min from nearby Marques metro station.
Better breakfast options and I might have eaten there. Needing to keep the key with reception. Sometimes I just want privacy and not talk to anyone, asking for the key each time.

Location was great - I felt very safe the entire time I was there. AC in the room was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Stayed here after finishing the Camino and taking a train to Porto. Felt like the AC was a reward. Comfortable bed.
Bathroom and facilities in the room just looked old. This was the first place through the entire camino where I saw a bug. There was a spider in the bathroom. Just felt like no one had actually tried to clean up the place. The shower head didn’t even stay up when on. These feel like obvious misses if someone were properly cleaning the bathroom. The front desk agent also wasn’t the kindest but there was someone overnight who switched with the original lady and she was wonderful. It did the job for a night. And the beds were comfy.
