Hotel easily located, easy walk from bus station as long as you have only a little luggage/have mobility. The view was breathtaking from my room, very peaceful and private. Loved having my own lake-view balcony... Sat for ages looking out over Bled. Hotel location was excellent for my trip (nearby the boats and other restaurants/cafรชs), with exceptional choice of facilities (private lido, pool, therapies, sun deck). I arrived earlier than check-in and they kindly let me leave luggage. The evening meal (4 courses) was plentiful and tasty, breakfast a plethora of continental dietary choices - buffet and table order available. As a coeliac, I was looked after very well to manage my gluten free needs. All staff extremely caring, helpful and welcoming. An impeccable stay that I would love to experience again! Hvala!

Wasps on the main deck when sat out for food were a bit of a nuisance but could not be helped. Staff moved me to a table indoors near the window quickly. Air conditioning a little noisy so couldn't leave on. Suggest getting taxi to drop off outside as a fair walk from bus drop-off.

The location is wonderful. The service in the bar in particular and the breakfast food and service were great.
Our room should not have been available to guests. Peeling wallpaper, water damage and tremendous amount of mould on bottom of bathroom door discovered on the last day. Dinner was very very poor. Food was overcooked like it had been sitting in warmers and reheated. You may ask why we didnโt move or complain - I booked this as a wedding gift for my husband and didnโt want to ruin it, and i knew the hotel was booked out. We were given a discount on departure which was appreciated, but the room was completely unacceptable, a health hazard, and the dinners were the worst food we had the whole trip. If you want to book this hotel the location is truly wonderful, but make sure you get one of the newly renovated rooms and donโt book half board.

Location was superb. View from Lake room was amazing. Evening meals were fantastic, 5 courses, large portions and excellent quality food. Good to have fridge and kettle in room.
In bathroom would have been nice to have hooks for bath robes and a small shelf in shower in order to put shower gel on rather than floor.

On the lake! What more to say? Book a room with a view, you will not be disappointed. The lakeside swimming deck and sunbeds a definite bonus of this particular hotel. Swimming in like bled itself was a pinch me moment for sure. Is a beautiful property that has history etched into its veins. Service was fantastic, was a pleasure from start to finish, we even enjoyed just having a tea in the beautiful lounge and gazing out of the windows onto that viewโฆ
Parking was a tad stressful when busy but staff could not have been more helpful, and provide tickets upon request to help park.

Service was very good. Views from lounge adjoining reception area were beautiful and space was lovely.
Breakfast waiter service was pretty bad, being nonexistent on some occasions, forgetting to place an order with the kitchen on another day, etc. Bathrrom shower was very hard to use: holder for handheld shower in tub did not work, glass door on tub leaked; I got the floor soaking wet every time I took a shower. The hotel itself feels very dated, with our couchโs upholstery sagging, decor a little outdated etc. Pillow quality not great in spite of having a pillow menu.

We were not allowed to access the lake at the hotelโs private terrace until 10am
Ridiculous as the excuse about the life guards not starting until 10 doesnโt wash as they were behind a wooden fence and never on the terrace . So you could have drowned 10 times over and they wouldnโt have known
Also, the room aircon was useless
Too warm to sleep well and it wasnโt that warm weather. Would be a real nightmare in summer

THE VIEW FROM OUR BALCONY WAS A DREAM, ACROSS THE LAKE IN ALL ITS GLORY.
BREAKFAST WAS GOOD WITH PLENTY OF CHOICE AND SERVICE STAFF. THE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE LAKE WAS EXCEPTIONAL

The room was a bit hot and the balcony so small that two people could not use it. The toilet seat was not tight. I expected a bit better for a luxury hotel. We are not spa people, so we did not take advantage of the spa. The pool was also pretty cold.

We loved the breakfast and the situation of the breakfast room with its view out over the lake. We appreciated the attentive and amiable staff.
Our tiny room overlooking the busy road was oppressively hot due to fiercely functioning towel heater which even the staff could not turn off and lacklustre air conditioning which the staff could not adjust. The staff tried to alleviate the problems even providing a portable fan. We resented in principle the โฌ2.50 per person โRegistration Feeโ which was manifestly another way of fleecing the clientele who had already paid a substantial sum for accommodation.

But the whole facility oozed elegance from a bygone era. You can see guests enjoying the hotel a hundred years ago - enjoying amenities, views, and elegant surroundings that were unmatched. It is truly a beautiful place. It showing some wear, but is still outstanding.

Excellent location right on the lake facing the castle and island. The front desk staff were exceptional in their ability to make our stay as pleasant as possible, provide guidance for the activities in Bled, and make up for the hotelโs poor conditions.
No longer deserves a 5 star rating if it ever did. The property needs a complete renovation, from soft goods to FF&E as it is in a very poor condition. Even the spiders have taken over the ceilings ?โ?

Favorite hotel out of two weeks in Slovenia and Italy. Simply stunning swim deck right on the lake, with views of the castle, and drinks and snacks available. Free hour to take out a rowboat on the lake. Welcome champagne greeted us after they generously let us check in early. We also enjoyed amazing massages in the spa - loved the indoor pool (kept cold) and saunas too. Amazing four-course dinner on the terrace overlooking the lake. The best AC we had the whole trip. Every single staff member was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.
Yellowjackets swarmed my aperol spritz on the lakeside swim deck, and took over my croissant at the lovely breakfast.

The location and staff at the hotel were both exceptional. The front desk employees answered every question we had with big smiles. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Sadly the weather was a bit grey and drizzly so we couldnโt experience the boats and deck, but we did enjoy the welcome drink, the views, and the spa area. We loved everything about this hotel. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. They had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities. The property was charming and very clean. As far as a view, ours was breathtakingly beautiful. This is the best hotel in Lake Bled.

It has a classic old-world charm about it. The breakfast was exceptional, especially with a view over the lake. I didnโt have a lake view room, but I can imagine theyโre stunning. The glass of sparkling wine on arrival was a nice touch. The spa was great, and well priced - guests get a discount when they book a treatment over a certain value. I spent most of my time at the lake pool which was relaxing. Get there early to secure a good spot. I liked being able to order drinks to my lounger, and they were very well priced for butler service. I was there on my birthday and they sent me a mini bottle of Slovenian sparkling wine which was nice.
While in some parts it might feel a little tired for some, that didnโt bother me - I think thatโs part of the charm. I do think, though, given theyโre marketing themselves as five star, that they could upgrade the toiletries. The toilet paper was cheap and think and I think a hotel with a spa, indoor thermal pool and a private lake lido can probably have separate shampoo and conditioner rather than an all in one.
Run down. In need of renovation. Didnโt feel clean.

Gorgeous views, suite room was excellent in poor weather, beds were comfortable, spacious rooms and bathroom. The lake view balcony was absolutely worth the extra cost. Excellent cocktails, helpful staff. Location on the side of Lake Bled was perfect, incredible views of the Castle and Island at sunrise and sunset. I would book this hotel again.
Dated decor could do with refurbishment; a little tired in places. Struggled with dietary requirements but they did manage to sort something in the end. Pillows were very soft (there is a pillow menu but no firmer options); this may just be a personal preference though. Sofa very uncomfortable but didnโt really use it.

Fantastic location and amazing views. I have never seen better in the world. The staff were exceptionally proactive and friendly. Couldnโt be better!!! The breakfast was the best we had ever seen in a buffet.
There are a few minor elements of the room that need an update. The toilet was very close to the door of the bathroom and could be improved. The bathroom probably needs an update and we understand this is planned.

The customer service by both reception and concierge was excellent! Above and beyond helpful.
Our room 501 was terrible. Yes, the view was marvelous but that all it was. The beds were very uncomfortable. I realized halfway through the first night that the bed was broken and I was sleeping in a trendelenburg (head declined) position. I repositioned and placed my head at the foot of the bed to be able to sleep.
We stayed there two nights and housekeeping did not come to our room. Additionally, the carpets were stained.

We spent 3 amazing nights at Grand Hotel Toplice on Lake Bled to end our 3-week trip to Croatia and Slovenia. This grand historic hotel is situated right across from Bled Castle and conveniently near one of the pletna boat launches to the Church of the Assumption island. Itโs worth every penny to book a lake view room with an amazing terrace to sit and watch all of the serene activities happening on the lake during the day, and then to relax with a glass of wine and watch the sun set behind the castle at night. Truly magical! The breakfast buffet was served in a beautiful room overlooking the lake, offering a wide assortment, in addition to having the option of ordering from their menu. For our last evening, we dined on the terrace at their amazing Restaurant Julijana. Both of Julijanaโs local and international tastings were outstanding, and we were pampered by Feri, their head waiter, and Marko. The hotelโs concierge and front desk staff are exceptional, each of whom reflected this 5-star gem. Our special thanks to Dejan Koren and Dimitar for all their help with booking our dinner reservations and car rental, and for their invaluable advice planning our itinerary. Both Marion and Anja were incredibly friendly and always eager to help with any requests or questions we had during our stay. And to Dejan Kodric, the hotelโs fantastic front desk manager, thank you for taking such good care of us! Every member of your staff is a credit to you and your wonderful hotel. We had been dreaming of our trip to Lake Bled for years, as the photos looked like a fairytale. Thank you for making our vacation dreams come true!

The location is great and the private beach was awesome. Some of the staff were great and helpful. Loved the view from our room.
The pool is very cold and some of the staff had attitudes or acted like questions were a burden. Also the dress code is enforced infrequently and was frustrating.

Outstanding location , and stunning views. Easy walks to everything โ lakeside trail, castle, restaurants. Perfect for accessing Lake Bled. The waterfront โbeachโ area was perfect place to swim and chill for a few hours (and you can use it after checking out)
Big price for location, as thatโs the top quality. Rooms and hallways need a fix-up. Restaurants a bit dated too, although breakfast on the patio was stunning. Would skip the saunas โ small and outdated.

The life guards on the beach were amazing: efficient, friendly, helpful, polite.
The waiters at the breakfast were also great.
Only one iron for the whole hotel.
Menue at the beach can be more diverse.

The property is historic and right on the shore of the lake with a private swimming area and boathouse. There is also a cold thermal pool and spa facilities available to guests, as well as two restaurants.
While there was outdoor attended parking available onsite at a reasonable surcharge, it was not especially easy to figure out which spots were reserved for hotel guests.

Cramped room. Really nice hotel but showing its age with peeling paint and cracked shutters on balcony. Faded carpets in stairways. Rotting bottoms on bathroom doors. Shower setup much less than ideal in a tub with half glass and side faucets. Not having a lot to park in yourself is not really 5 star kind of level. Price is quite high any way you look at it. No weight room available yet so many unused parlors and 3 saunas? It most definitely needs to be improved. I stayed because Rick Steves said it was highly rated

Magnificent hotel. Room was on the small side, but very comfortable and had a terrace overlooking the lake with breathtaking views. Breakfast was amazing as well. Made to order dishes as well as large buffet with everything you could ever want for breakfast. Gluten free options as well. Staff was friendly and location was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Location and views from the hotel were excellent. Breakfast was good, but staff was overwhelmed at times.
Facilities are dated, squeaky floor and bed. Appliances are old. The first room that we were checking in was stinking with cigarettes' smoke. We had to tell staff that we were not planning "to get used to the odor" and they finally found another room.

They allowed us to check-in More than least 3 hours early โฆโฆ which gave us such a lot of more time around the placeโฆโฆ. In spite of which we still did not have time for the swimming pool โฆ..spa โฆ..sauna and all the other facilities.

We had a great balcony with a great view. I enjoyed swiming in the lake and the bar service. Breakfast was great and we coud park our car.
That it rained, but otherwise beautiful weather. I know that is something beyond your control, so there was not much I did not like.
