The staff at the front desk had a bad attitude and were impatient when asked too many questions. The hotel had no Wi-Fi. When I called to consult with the front desk, no one answered. The faucet didn't have hot water. There were flies in the room. The equipment was old and dirty. When I was in front of Quincy Market, the road construction was very noisy and the noise control was poor. I won't come here again.

The employees need training, and the customer-oriented service philosophy is not felt in this hotel.

Location was really good, such a beautiful city! The room was clean and the staff were nice. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around and some really lovely walking places.

To reiterate - the hotel was clean, the staff were nice, so the rest of this does not reflect on the staff of the hotel. The "view" in the room was awful, two small horizontal windows at the top of the wall looking onto the roof? (we were floor 2) and what Im guessing were the AC vents, more vents on the roof so there was a constant buzzing and loud humming, the gym / exercise room was next door and someone was always in there smacking a medicine ball against the wall or floor at 6AM, safe to say I didnt get a wink of sleep - we were only there for a few nights and I didnt want to kick up a fuss over it, but that alone wouldnt make me recommend the stay there unless you specifically request a room somewhere quieter. Also, the breakfast that was included in our stay was very subpar.... when the ladies first came with the reciept for us to pay (despite me saying to them that our breakfast is included in our stay and offered the room number, they still brought the machine to pay?) - an "american breakfast" and for a waffle with some fruit, tea and coffee that was made and left on the side forgotten until we asked again cost over $77?? Very inflated price for the quality of food that was served. Id recommend to get a nicer breakfast somewhere else, plenty of eateries around.

Location excellent right across from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Concierge and Bell Boys fantastic and helpful. Front desk not the most welcoming to be honest. Maybe just the two I dealt with. Ordered us a taxi. Took care of our luggage great service from them. Housekeeping was good. Very clean. Andy and Juan great.

First room we were given was dreadful overlooking a skip full of rubbish when I had been told we were being given a room with a Juliet balcony. There was no balcony. I went straight to reception and was given another room. Somewhat begrudgingly it seemed and no apology. However Juan was wonderful and moved all our luggage over. A lovely smiley gentleman who had been there 35 yrs. well done Juan. Great service. This hotel seriously needs an uplift. We stayed 2 weeks in USA. Loads of hotels and B&Bโ€™s. This was the most expensive (including NYC) and the most shabby. Ice machine was never working the whole 3 days and as there was no fridge we couldnโ€™t even get a cold beer or water. TV didnโ€™t work first 2 days. Had to ask someone to sort. No turndown service offered. Had to ask on day 2. No complimentary water. Just a water dispenser in reception and paper cups. Torn sheets. Torn curtains. Really shabby for such an expensive stay. We were given a highlighted sheet of paper detailing an extra 30 dollars charge per day for a prime location feeโ€ฆ. What ? As it turned out we donโ€™t seem to have been charged that. My husband asked for a newspaper The Boston Globeโ€ฆ would that be possible the next morningโ€ฆ receptionist said yes. When we asked for the paper we were told no they donโ€™t provide them. Basically we felt ripped off. Almost 900 dollars for 3 nights and the bed wasnโ€™t even that comfy!

The room was comfortable but a little worn. Ok the lamp shade had a hole in it but the bed and pillows were comfortable. We had room in the back view to North End so it was quite. Breakfast was a bit strange as you get ''credit' in the lobby restaurant and it was a menu not buffet. Breakfast was fine though. Check-in prior from their email made it breeze and all you had to do was get the room key. Checkout was the same but we checked out for an early flight but the day before it seem everyone liked to check out right at noon with one elevator working. I'd recommend not wait until noon.

The coffee machine in the lobby. We thought it was complementary coffee but no, you had to pay for the coffee. This was a bit tacky not only for the price point of this hotel but then to charge for the coffee. Really?

the location is the main attraction for this hotel for tourists like us - next to Faneuil Hall and Quincy market. Staff were helpful. the bed was comfortable.

The rooms and the common areas are looking a dull and faded. The double bed had three pillows - so we fought over who could use two. There was one glass in the room so we shared it. We expected the city tax but in addition a daily fee was added nominally for the hotel' central position! Why not put this on the main room rate so we can see before booking? Quite loud noise from the road. The double doors to the small balcony couldn't be closed.

The location was perfect.

The hotel is older and there were some broken things in our room. We tried to get ice and were told there was no ice machine. You have to pay extra if you want a refrigerator in your room. The restaurant connected to it had a dj with very loud hip hop music and crowd on Monday evening and people were outside smoking weed. Not a good look as you are walking into hotel with children and families all around. The main issue we are STILL dealing with is being over charged. The first overcharge was dealt with after calling the front desk and someone calling us back. Charges were reversed. Now weeks after our stay, we were randomly charged over $400. We have been trying to get ahold of someone with no luck. Only front desk answers and they say they canโ€™t help us. Very disappointing because we travel to Boston frequently but will not be returning to this hotel.

Location in theory was good but noisy as our room faced onto the street at a busy junction. Complimentary bottles of water were welcome.

Everything. We did not like this hotel. The hotel was dull. One lift was out of service the whole time we stayed. The room was not serviced until I requested it. At reception on arrival we were told we would have to pay an additional charge of $30 per night for the location even though I had paid in full in advance. This was on paper and the extra charge highlighted in orange. The gym was small and dull. The fridge in the room was empty and out of order. The room was one level up, facing the street and we could hear loud conversations at all hours outside during the evening and night. There was no shower gel in the dispenser. We asked for this to be filled but it never was. The TV did not work and we were told 'oh someone is on the roof fixing it.' We checked out two days early.

The view of the city was amazing and to walk out to a deck in Boston was absolutely breathtaking.

When we first arrived check in was very smooth, vallet was very pricey at $68 a night only to walk out of the hotel and see your car parked on the street ten feet from the hotel +/- on that..We went to our room the view was beautiful the deck amazing clean room. But unfortunately that's where all the plusses move to a minus. There was no body soap in the shower, shampoo and conditioner almost empty no hand soap, no refrigerator or snacks that I had to pay for because they upgraded us because we were there to celebrate my son's 13 birthday. We left and hit the town fantastic day Fanuel Hall, Chinatown, hit some cool spots and the Ubered to the north end tried new restaurant and pastry place . Pastry's were amazing, restaurant middle of the road. Got back to the hotel and our room smelled so bad of marijuana we had to sleep with windows open and deck doors open. There restaurant was amazing bar tender great and when we got back still no refrigerator, wasted all kinds of money on drinks . Overall the experience and sites were amazing. For the price I'll stay someplace that has a pool

From valet all the way through housekeeping, the staff was very unprofessional. Some of them were helpful, however, they were completely out of hand soap, and I had to use soap from the shower to wash my hands in the restroom. There was a big disconnect between the front desk and housekeeping. The manager of the valet was very pushy and would cut you off mid conversation.

Central location.

Balcony doors were broken in our room when we arrived, so the facilities man had to gaffer tape them shut as there were no other rooms available, didnโ€™t sleep on the first night due to noise. No shower gel in the dispenser in the shower, the A/C was so temperamental, outdated hotel that doesnโ€™t warrant the cost of staying there. Unwarranted charges on my credit card without permission also.

Great location!

The biggest disappointment was the room view, which overlooked a construction/dumpster area. We were initially told that a room change might be possible and packed accordingly but the following day we were informed that no rooms were available after all. This created unnecessary inconvenience. In addition, when we requested soap, it took over an hour to arrive and required two follow-up calls to the front desk.
