It is in a great area within walking distance to eateries and other downtown activities.
The toilet reminded me of a potty training chair for a child and there wan’t a bar to hold to assist with getting in the wide spa like tub to take a shower.

The location is amazing! It is lovely to stay in the city when you’re from a small town. The building is stunning and the staff is wonderful.
The only thing even remotely close to negative that I have to say is that the build is showing its age in the small details. Which is in no way a problem when you understand the history and importance of historical buildings. I would just say the fine details being touched up would be amazing for the overall preservation of the authenticity and class of the building.

The location is about the only thing I liked.
The first room I was given was very dirty so had to be moved rooms. The next room I got moved to was very dirty also. But stayed in the room. No house keeping was provided during the stay. Some of the staff on the desk were so rude. Some were very nice.

Location is fantastic
I love historic buildings and this needs to be restored to show off its history some original parts are still there around the lifts but the early 90s modifications are ugly and dated such a big heart felt shame I hope someone saves this beautiful building back to the original look
I’m a big traveller open to most things like the bathroom may be dated or the outside of the windows may be dusty
Now sadly night we were packing to leave this room which did feel dusty I could see the air con vent was pretty yucky, we moved bed to see if anything had fallen down and we found mould lots of mould
I told front desk he said I can move you but by now had all our belongings everywhere and we’re checking out early AM
I do hope that they fix this for future guests it may only be I some rooms but it really does need a good carpet replacement and dusting
I hope this hotel gets the love it deserves

Hotel seemed to be in a good location to get to places I wanted to visit in the city. Short walk to light rail station and food hall across the street but most places closed on the early side.
Pictures are misleading it’s not very nice but with major updates it can have potential. Lobby looks nice when initially entering but has a weird musty odor. Arrived at 8:30 pm later than I anticipated to check in the streets outside were deserted except for a few unsavory individuals and I did not feel safe walking few blocks from light rail. After checking in I placed in a suite. The room was huge but lock and deadbolt in poor repair not sure they were in working order which made me uneasy. Throughout 3 night stay the room was sweltering and AC did not work at all was extremely humid in room and uncomfortable. Considered packing up and relocating but did not want the expense so survived as best I could. Went out and purchased a fan the last day which is the only reason I survived my stay. Not enough towels or TP provided and toilet clogged first day had to call maintenance who came with a plunger. Do not recommend this hotel.

I liked the location as well as the elevator lobby.
The bedding smelled musty. The toilet tank had a crack in it and was patched, which made it look tacky. The cable in the bedroom didn’t work due to the cable line not being connected to the wall. I tried to reconnect but the cable wouldn’t connect.

If you want in the heart of the city? Absolutely. The reviews mentioned slow valets but that was not the case. It was quick. Bedding and towels were clean and sanitized.
IT WAS HOT IN THE ROOM. Literally sweat dripping down my face HOT. Ridiculously hot, could not sleep due to the heat. The carpet was damp due to the humid wet heat in the rooms.
The windows were FILTHY! See pic below to reflect a pic of the windows from the double room. The suites windows were filthy too but less filthy.

We where put in a room that should have been closed off to any customers for at least a week, as the tiles as you walked into the bathroom on the floor were all loose, I caught my foot on them as they all came up, could have been a lot worse if I had walked in in the dark, and probably cut my feet or fallen even,we told the desk clerk, she said it was unacceptable, and sent maintenance person to set the tiles down, that would have been fine for the hotel to get their floor sorted, but when we went back into the room later on in the day, I walked on them, and obviously they moved because they need days to dry, and they hadn't even cleaned the floor after, so there was grouting all over the floor, which I cleaned up, just wrong, we should never have been put in that room, unacceptable, we were given the managers email from the desk clerk so we contacted the manager, Sophie was her name, and we sent pictures too the clerk told us to, we haven't received any feedback, acknowledge, nothing, she should have acknowledged our email at least, we shouldn't have paid all that money, for a motel 6 bathroom

The elevators some of the windows you couldn’t open like the blinds and the Wi-Fi was horrible. Also, the hot water in the shower is kind of confusing. The floor is uneven also but that’s to be expected with how old the building is but some windows you couldn’t even open the blinds on them, which is probably the most besides the elevator that I dislike the most

Stayed 5 nights but didn't get my room serviced not even once. The sign stated that the room will be serviced by request only so I hung the placard on the exterior of the front door on the third day requesting service, but no one ever showed up.
And when I requested clean towels on two different occasions I had to go down to the front desk to get them myself. A total inconvenience and such a let down from a beautiful facility.
Exceeded my expectation in all aspects except for room service.

I loved that I was in an historic hotel with beautiful old architectural features. The staff was helpful and friendly. The lobby was beautiful and comfortable. My room was very nice and well updated, with a nice bathroom and comfortable bed.
No complaints for me as I didn't drive in. Came in on Amtrak and took an Uber to the hotel. But I can understand the complaints about the cost of valet parking and getting in and out of the area due to traffic.

We enjoyed the hotel's ambiance, the city view, the room assignment, and the overall aesthetic of the stay. Savannah's great energy, professionalism, active listening, compassion, recollection of our previous interaction, and empathy improved the experience after the distasteful and ongoing poor or selective valet services.
Additionally, the Valet Service Manager was attentive to the complaint about the ongoing poor valet services. He became more watchful of our departure from or return to the facility to provide better service than the lower-level staff, such as opening the door or greeting us with a smile. It is believed that he verbally reprimanded the valet team for failing to represent the hotel with quality service.
I did not like that Tiffany was no longer employed with the hotel because she was a great person and employee who provided exceptional service despite the crappy valet services.
The Valet service still sucks majorly after the initial complaint to the General Manager for a stay in or about mid-March, in which they refused to open the door for the female companion, assist with luggage retrieval, or offer quality valet service upon arrival due to preconceived and stereotypical biases.
On the most recent visit, upon arrival, we were approached by the Valet attendant with an afro and asked, "Do you have a reservation here?", he was notified that I was finalizing the booking before my phone died...he said, "Can you back up the car then..." and did not open the door for the passenger (female), none of the valet personnel assisted with luggage retrieval, and one actually watched from the foyer through the window to proceed opening the second door after we entered, with two other valet guys running into the building to harass me for valet parking, 'as-if' hotel guests are required to valet park. The service was so crappy that later that evening, while exiting the facility, the kid noticed the disproportionate valet service rendered to arriving guests differed significantly from the service we received and mentioned it, which required a complaint to the Valet Service Manager upon our return from the store.
Sadly, this repeated exhibit of poor service negatively reflects on the hotel. Savannah was great about improving the experience with the room provided, her professional attitude, and active listening.

The water ac and WiFi didn’t work properly during our stay. We had young children and had to buy a fan because our room was so hot. Also the hot water in the shower don’t work my daughter had an allergic reaction to something she touched in the room. Her finger was swollen
