The location was ideal for our needs. The beds were very comfortable.

Arriving @ the hotel I expected to find someone to take our bags up to the room. That was not the case! There were no baggage dollies available either. We had to drag our suitcases to the room ourselves. We were given a room on the 14th floor. Upon entering the room there was an overwhelming ghastly moldy smell that seems to be coming from the carpet and a cockroach walking on the wall. We were transferred to another room on the 11th floor. Again we had to drag our suitcases ourselves. The smell was still present in the 2nd room however less prominent than the 1st room. The cleaning was not up to par. I had a cup that fell under the vanity stand in the bathroom when we came back later that evening, the room had obviously been cleaned and yet the cup was still there. We tried to call to order food only to find that the phone was not working! We managed to get the front desk to get the technician to come fix the phone. That was a 24 process!

We had a bad experience here at Westin

We left a bottle of very expensive cologne . We contacted the hotel immediately and was told to fill out a form, which we did . Still no RESPONSE back! Call once again and we were told someone would contact us from the cleaning staff. NO RESPONSE!! Very disappointed we did not get our bottle of cologne back. We even had friends who live in Florida stop at the hotel after getting back from our cruise , , they stayed at the hotel too because we were going in a cruise together, and they could not get any answers either . They were told someone would call. NO CALL!! Terrible service !!!

Food at cypress was decent quality taste was ok but also expensive. Not worth the price. Bed was soft and comfortable.

The room had a old smell odor to it. The bathroom was old and dated… shower took long to turn off after turning it off.

No luggage carriers available in lobby. Asked for help to get cart, waited about 15 minutes with nobody getting the cart or letting us know what the issue was. We finally took 3 trips to the 8th floor just hauling up the luggage without a carrier/cart. It took us about an extra 30 minutes to get settled in due to this.

The outdoor area was really nice with the pool and lagoon of the deck

The higher floor smells of mildew and is extremely strong when the AC is blowing. Our bathroom appeared updated as compared to other reviews but the head board of the bed was damaged with poor repair and box spring ripping giving the room a dated and rundown appearance. These are unfortunate and unexpected oversights for the price point of this hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the location.

I didn't like how outdated the hotel was. The headboard in the king bed had scratches and was repainted over. The lamp shed was old with stains. This didn't look like a 4 star hotel by the room.

The property itself is pretty nice. We LOVED the pool and hot tub and spent soooo much time there! The room was comfortable and spacious, the premises were clean, and most employees were very friendly.

There were a few details that were a bit disappointing about this stay, but they might have been very specific to us and our room. For starters, the door of our room was broken, making it difficult to enter and also difficult to close/lock the door. I really think they should have fixed this before assigning that room to guests - not closing the door at night could be a safety concern. The room was also out of shampoo and conditioner when we moved in. Not the end of the world but, again, I think they should check details like this before guests move in. Finally, the front desk worker that we mostly talked to forgot everything that we asked her for, on multiple occasions.
