The location

That we had ROACHES. They were everywhere. The hotel didn't even care. They sent someone to spray 2 or 3 hours after we reported them, then we had stay out of our room for another hour. Manager was not accommodating at all. They didn't offer a new room or anything. I have 2 children. Later that night at 12am we turn out the lights while watching TV then went to the restroom and ROACHES were everywhere. I had to pack up my children at 12am. I'm disappointed and disgusted. $200 a night to have ROACHES crawling and a nasty beat up hotel. The Pictures are a lie.

The location

Well they was trash of diapers by our front door of room. By the steps for 4 days no one if the staff cleaned it up. I will not stay here again!

Paying for parking $15 a day $30 total. I paid in full the first day for two days and woke up the next morning with another pending charge for $262.04. Held some of my money up for no reason.

Good location. Right across the street from the beach and close to activities.

Parking was not great and you have to pay to park in the hotel lot...which was a first for me in all of my travels. Rooms were not the cleanest - mostly the floors felt Gritty and gross. Bathroom needs serious updates. The room was pretty small.

Not well maintained, Breakfast are was dirty tow sinks for random reason with pancake mix spillages. Exterior looked run down and old.Not worth the premium they charge during summer

ACROSS FROM PLEASURE PIER NOTHING ELSE

Never again manager is bad, staff made us wait over 2.5 hrs, not ever give us our room. Not caring we had 2 kids 3 and 1, traveled far to get there, I'm disabled, made us miss our dinner reservation which had to be rescheduled later time due to this crap of resort unreliability. People smoking around on oremises and they also wanted to charge us for parking on the premises though a guest. Never again and they wouldn't refund me. They avoided booking calls for what was going on so received refund through booking. Acoid this place!

The first night we checked in using booking.com LaShonda helped us at the front desk and it was wonderful! Customer Service was superb! My husband is handicapped and we loved the convince! The air conditioner started leaking when we tried to turn the air down a little- it was chilly (I loved it, husband did not). We just asked for a couple more towels to soak it up and put air conditioner back where it was-it worked. And didnt bother us at all because LaShonda was so nice! The second night we stayed was a horrible! My husband went to recharge the keys and the young girl at the desk wanted my cc card then told my husband it wasnt valid! 1. My card had a couple thousand on it. 2. I had a confirmation number room was already paid through booking.com 3. She charged my husband $317. Dollars!!!! That was suppose to be our eating money! And my husband doesnt have that kind of money being on disability! The girl then turned around and told him its not a problem because hell get his money back in 3 to 7 days!! Not a problem for who? And why did she demand his card? The booking was already paid for in advance through my name, my card with a confirmation! The manager was no help at all. She just brushed it off as a deposit??? What??? Who charges a deposit on someones 2nd night stay? It was terrible service from uncaring unhelpful people. If we wouldnt of seen LaShonda as we left early (because we had no money for dinner) we would of given our stay a 2. But besides the day concierge and manager being terrible, the rest of the stay was nice. Might want to check if they are trying to scam people? Never heard of being charged a deposit for your 2nd night. Also the concierge originally told my husband to call booking.com to get his money back. Seriously? Booking.com didnt charge us she did!

Cold air conditioner good location

Worn down property, elevator broke, handle on steps in the pool was broke, the pool walls were filthy, the bath tub had disgusting stains . Hand rail in stairs and floor were filthy . Very trashy looking . Had to pay for parking for each night, even with handicapped plaque, you can park anywhere on the island for free with handicap plaque, but NOT at this hotel. Called Wyndham to complain, they said they didnt own the property. I will be letting osha know of their violations .

Location of the room for my disabled husband and service dog was great. Beach was right across the road.

We extended our stay another night through booking.com and psid online. My husband went that morning to reupholster our room key. The receptionist said she had to have a card on file, my husband relied it already was from night before (my card=wife) and we booked through booking.com and already paid. She said there was no card demanding my husbands card then charged $317 dollars on it. I had to get up out of bed and speed the morning trying to straighten it out. They then put a hold on $317 but said it wouldnt charge to my husbands account but will be held for 5-7 days. Receptionist kept saying we needed to call booking.com to get our money, I told her booking.com didnt charge us $317. It was a terrible experience. We ended up having to leave and go back home because that was all the money we had for our mini getaway. It was very disappointing and I felt like they were trying to scam us.

Location-across the street from the beach, Dennys next door, pool clean. This isnt the most exceptional hotel, but we were comfortable and the price is great compared to other places in the area.

It needs remodeling, which they were in the process of doing. Breakfast is more of a snack (no hot foods) but Dennys is right there, a/c struggled to keep room cool, extra charges for parking that were not listed in price online.

Great location.

We had 5 adults in a 2 room king suite on the 3rd floor. When a rain storm hit, the roof in our room leaked. Water came in the hallway through an exterior door and pooled at the top of the stairs making a hazzard. Roaches, dead and alive were all over. Info sent to hotel manager, and she justified the roaches as being "native to the Galveston area, as they are next to the gulf coast" , and the leaky roof/door " it was raining, and we are an exterior property with our rooms near doors".

This low budget hotel is ideally placed right on the Gulf of Mexico with Crashing surf right outside our window. The outdoor pool was well kept and private. The staff were great.

There were a couple of small bumps. The card key didn't always work in the door, and the internet went out for a while. We would have preferred real butter and probiotic yogurt in the breakfast instead of butter-like spread. 1st world inconveniences.
