The theme of the hotel is cute but maintenance and cleaning is clearly lacking.

Our exterior room door could not be properly closed. The bottom corner of the door was bent and damaged to the point that it did not even touch the door frame when closed and locked. Hair was all in the sheets and on the sink counter. The headboard has dried liquids/substances smeared on the faux leather and it clearly had not been cleaned or even wiped. The advertised complimentary breakfast was disappointing with very few choices of only cold items other than bread/bagels to be toasted. Upon check in the front desk employee seemed irritated to have to interact with a person. Not friendly or welcoming at all.

It was a party motel with a musky smell. I checked out 2 days earlier due to conditions. A manager was not available for the last 3 days. I was charged for all 3 nights of reservation which is being disputed.

Everything else about the stay was a nightmare. We got put in a room directly in front of pool, which would have been great BUT there was an event the front desk did not tell us about going on from the moment we got there till 11 pm. It was loud and raunchy. We were unable to enjoy any of the amenities. Then they clerk that checked us in charged our room for a 2nd time on our debit card. We booked and paid on October 5th thru booking.com. then on October 14th, our stay, they charged again! Which tide up nearly $300 from our bank account, room plus incidentals. When I informed the front about this they told me I would be compensated thru zelle bc it was the weekend and this way it would give me the $ that was being held. By 10 pm this had not happened, mind you I still have not been contacted or seen the general manager. She was out and unreachable. When I asked again about it they said the general manager canceled the charge and it should have been back in my account. I showed this was not done and again she was unavailable. Then we asked about moving rooms bc of the loud music and we were told that wasn't possible and the pool closed at 10 therefore the party would be leaving. They didn't leave until 11 pm. Then we got up the next morning for breakfast. It was toast and prepackaged eggs! If I booked the room yesterday it would have been $86 I paid $140 (x2 bc I was double charged!) NOT WORTH IT!! I have yet to speak to the general manager or received my money back. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL!

Actually never made it down for breakfast. I did like all the outdoor patio activities available including the pool. And the bar and grill was fantastic. Staff very friendly as well!

Staff is very helpful, a plus. (See summary.) Good complimentary breakfast. Didn’t use the restaurant/bar at night, but others seemed to like it. They arranged a shuttle to the CFB title game. Location is another bonus. Right by I-45, just north of Houston’s museum district and with good access the the myriad of other freeways to get around Houston.

The immediate area is a bit run-down, and with very few restaurants. But had no security incident with my rental car. The hotel and rooms seem older, but were clean. My main concern was the narrow passage from the door then between the first of two queen beds and a small desk area. This was a combo pleasure-work trip, and I worked on my Pad. Had to move the desk chair out of the way to pass through, then back to the desk to work. Minor inconvenience, in the overall picture.

Great environment, friendly staff, restaurant and bar had plenty of options, location was close to venue. Plenty of partying if that's your deal, but even the quiet areas in the back filtered out much of the noise when trying to sleep.

Bathtub was peeling paint, causing the drain to clog and drain very slow. Which was annoying in the mornings when taking turns showering. Everything else was in working order and in good condition.

I liked the atmosphere. You could hang out by the pool, play corn hole or jenga, eat and have drinks without even leaving the hotel.

Parking lot view is not that fancy, but someone has to stay on that side.

It was wonderful to have breakfast with dairy-free and gluten-free options, and to have protein and fruit was great! I love the theme, decor and vibes of the whole place. I really like the soundproofing that is part of the decor. We had people in rooms on both sides of us, but the sound proofing made it super quiet. I've told friends and family that we will go back to this hotel if we ever have the opportunity to do so.

There's a shortage of linens. We only had one washcloth the first night and had to go to the front desk for another one. The second night there were no washcloths. A lady at the desk gave us what we all thought was one and said she would bring another one to our room. When we got back to our room and I unfolded what the lady gave me it was a hand towel that had been cut in half and was partly threadbare. I think it was a cleaning rag. I guess there were no more washcloths to be had because no one brought one to our room.

My husband and I Love to come here for a little get away from time to time. The vibe and the staff are Amazing!

We ended up canceling our room this weekend due to the lack of parking. What we didn't know was there was a pool party going on, that in itself was NOT the problem, the problem was the valet company didn't leave parking for people staying at the property and they were NOT willing to move cars to another location. As someone paying for a room, I SHOULD NOT be asked to park across a busy street due to the lack of concentration on the valet companies part .The staff tried to fix the problem but the VALET company was Not willing to move other vehicles.

The location was where we wanted to be. The parking was free

As we entered our room it stunk of weed but the worst part was at around 7am very loud construction work began above/around our room. We were not notified that the building was under renovation. None of us slept well at all. Annoyingly the banging noises stopped around 9:30am by which point we were all fed up and ready to leave.
