I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! The space is great, well-organized, and comfortable. They even hosted a karaoke and BBQ night with free hot dogs, which was a really fun touch!
When we arrived on March 8 around 7 PM, a friendly blond guy at the front desk checked us in and gave us an upgrade we asked for and also gave us a great restaurant recommendationβsuper welcoming!
The space where the breakfeast is served is really nice and has a good ambient! The girl who served us was also friendly
However, check-out on March 9 at 10 AM was a different experience. The staff member on duty (a slim Asian guy with long hair) was rude and impatient, rolling his eyes multiple times. He also seemed annoyed by my English, which is completely unacceptable for someone working in hospitality.
The room we stayed in was above the garage door so it was really noisy!

I really enjoyed the breakfast which had many options available from fresh fruits to breads, yogurt, coffee and tea and more. I also loved the rooms which had a kitchen and bathroom en suite. The activities that the hostel had planned for us daily were so fun and fostered a sense of community which is desperately needed in this time. The location is prime right on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, the Pantages theater and many attractions.

Absolutely AMAZING spot. Perfect location to get anywhere, and staff were amazing. Love KiKiβs food and entertainment AND the same guy looks after the free breakfast! We were inspired by his positivity and he made us feel so well cared for. We felt very accommodated and looked after, made new friends and genuinely would come back any time. I honestly cannot recommend this place more. Fantastic. Strongly reccomend the private rooms, itβs everything you need right in Hollywood with a perfect old school Hollywood vibe.
Not a thing. If Iβm being hyper critical, being in Hollywood Blvd you are gonna see some homeless camps on the streets outside, but generally nobody ever bothered us, and they were polite and we didnβt feel unsafe. Good amenities and food nearby but you wonβt need to worry on the nights the food is on (tues, thurs and sats during our stay) as we were well looked after for both meat eaters and vegans. Parking is a little tight but itβs a 1930s motel so again, itβs part of the experience. Reccomend the private spaces so you can come and go without worrying about other cars in the way.

The staff is amazing and always make sure youβre ok and that you are having fun ! The overall vibe is so nice and chill and everyone was so friendly!
Itβs not that we didnβt like it, the rooms were clean. Everything was very nice. The only thing that we would say is maybe update the way the room looks. As far as lthe beds and bunkbeds and the mattresses themselves, you can tell they were new, but lthe framing and stuff you could tell it was a little older, but it wasnβt terrible and for the price it was great!

The bungalow was very self contained and safe. If you have a car there is parking off the street. The breakfast and social areas are great. Plus the hostel has several social events during the week, BBQ and whatnot.
The dorm mates I have left towels all over the bathroom.

Walking distance to food food and convenience stores was awesome. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The tiki garden in the back is very tranquil with small breakfast served. Community area looked fun but did not get a chance to use them during our one night stay. Overall really loved this place!
The units closest to the street will get alot of street noise from traffic and the unhomed community, but this is LA and it's normal.

I liked the style of our room
I had called to reserve a parking space, as instructed to do when I booked. However, they said they don't take reservations. I was glad to get a spot, but we had to double-park somebody else in, which meant they had to hold our key in the office. That was OK... except when we went to check out, no staff member was to be found and the office was locked. There were a few rooms worth of people waiting to check out at around 8:30 or 9 (see attached pic of some of them outside the office). I called the office, I called their other location, we rang the bell outside the property... but nobody answered. Ultimately, we had to rearrange our plans for the day because we couldn't go anywhere.

It's a truly fascinating experience. A communal experience from the '60s. The hotel owner hosts free barbecues in the courtyard where their cars are parked. He organizes events and serves complimentary breakfast in the morning. It's an unmissable experience, especially for young people and travelers.

Loved the attentive, friendly staff, especially Devin and Jason at the front desk. Great communal vibe with frat house amenities (air hockey, foosball, pool table, outdoor and indoor lounge area, tiki garden, etc.). Great location on Hollywood Blvd.

Fistly the location. I loved it. I like that karaoke and pizza night that they do, i never seen other hostels doing that stuff. The really purpose of my visit is to catch the Oasis concert. Good thing there's a bus stop just 2 minutes by foot away from the hostel. And the bus 180 will go directly to Pasadena. I also love the Tiki Garden vibe.
The breakfast could have been better. And the homeless people in front of the hostel and around the area. But that's not the property's problem, it is a government thing. It's just you'll feel unsafe though they are harmless. Poor people. The world is unfair!

The bed was very uncomfortable. It was slippery and made loud squeaky noise. There was no other shower rooms besides of the one in the ensuite bathroom which had to be shared with 5 other people; sink in the bathroom and the kitchen were clogged. People were allowed to smoke inside of the facility. The room was carpeted and dirty, I got few bug bites while I was sleeping. Overall, the room was too cluttered and it was not very clean.

I stay here a few times a year for work, and itβs always a great experience. The Wi-Fi is super fast β perfect for getting things done β and the zen tiki garden is my favorite spot to unwind after meetings. The staff are friendly and the energy is upbeat but still relaxed. The free breakfast is simple but definitely appreciated before starting the day.
Nothing major β it can get lively at times, but honestly thatβs part of the charm.

Facilities were great, there was free dinner and other events in the hostel. Only hostel I have been to with kitchens in the rooms. The manager at night and receptionist Devon were very kind and helpful!
One of the receptionists Jason was very rude, and I felt very unwelcome at this hostel. I would not return to the hostel due to the unfriendliness and behavior from this staff member. Customers should not be treated with disrespect for no reason.

The property is quite old, the room is big enough and walking distance to walk of fame.
The breakfast is the same everyday, internet connection is very poor. There are so many homeless outside the property.

The vibe was great and the front person was nice.
There was roo much noise during the evening, and the food they served for the dinner complementary on Saturday did nit look clean. One tourist from Brasil was very intrussive while we were playing pool and interrupted us. Our car also got scratched because the parking area is very small .

The location is super convenientβclose to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The room was very spacious, with a private kitchen and even a bathtubβprobably the most spacious room Iβve ever stayed in among all the hostels Iβve booked. The breakfast was simple but sufficient. The staff were extremely kind and supportive, and they also provide a very safe parking area.
I didn't realize that they allowed smoking in the hall until I got there. Each room even had a table and a chair set up in the hallway, with ashtrays provided. Since we have kids, that was pretty uncomfortable for us (though understandable, since hostels mainly target young, independent travelers). Also, thereβs a Salvation Army right across from the hostel, so we saw many homeless people nearby since we arrived at night. But in the morning, we found that the homeless people were gone, so itβs better to arrive during the daytime

My stay exceeded my expectations in every way. Staff was professional and personable, the room with its adorable matching cute concepts was a delight, I felt safe and taken care of. I will never forget my stay there, it was Fabulous!!! Exuberant!!! Luxurious!!! Better than a week at the Hilton, where I normally stay.

Location, location, location! 9 mins from Universal, walk to the walk of stars and other Hollywood sites. Super cute place with off street parking for a small fee. Kiki makes this place amazing he seems to do all the extra stuff, he serves breakfast with a friendly story and the BBQ and Karaoke. He makes the atmosphere more fun and speaks many languages.
Had to ask for towels and blankets. Paid $13 per day for a single private parking spot, 2 of the 4 days others had parked there, talked to the office staff and he was useless, he seemed like he didnt understand anything, no common sense, kinda felt like a comedy show and they just grabbed a random guy off the street to put in the office and said "sit here" with no other explanation (but all the other employees were friendly and helpful).

It was perfect for what we needed. The kitchenette in our room was key and the simple breakfast was perfect to get us started with our day.

Parking was enclosed within the property. I felt safe leaving my car parked. I was also pleasantly surprised that they showed the UFC fights for free. That was an added bonus, as I thought I would have to find a local bar to watch.
The room was a little smaller than expected, but I was only there for the night, so it did the job.
