The location was the only thing that was good about this hotel
It didnt matter what floor you were on. No matter what floor you had steep stairs to climb with your luggage no elevators in the building the magnetic strip door keys continuously failed causing you to walk back down to the front desk each time you left

The staff is very professional courteous. I was able to book the room an extra night. All of the additional fees were dropped (especially the deposit). I only had to pay a $25 resort fee.
The room was not cleaned by housekeeping, the air conditioner did not work and the room safe did not work. I left my NY Jet hoodie and Apple charger behind and it has not been returned to me.

I requested a taxi from reception, was told it would be $25 and was charged $137.35 by Miquels limo service, he saw my tour bus was there and put through a tip and extra 100 for himself. One week later I am also waiting on my deposit back, another 100. Absolutely avoid this hotel

I liked the glass shower doors.
The room itself looked nothing like the photos: the headboard was old, torn, & severely defaced. The front desk staff wasnt accommodating at all and seemed to give us an attitude when we showed them video of a roach we had to kill in the room. They dont greet you at all, they really ignore your presence completely. I was also on hold on the phone for about 9 minutes, then had to wait about another 20 minutes for a spare wash cloth(there was only 1 in the room).

We were in building B or 2 I dont remember now but the carpet had a funny smell . The really need to do something about it .

Housekeeping very laid back..fresh linens and towels not provided unless asked for. Had to request to have the floor washed. Housekeeping does a basic wipe down about every 3rd day. Had to take out my own trash...

We were really pleased with our stay at the Oceanside as it is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. You have the bus stop and the free Miami Beach trolley stop right next to the hotel. Check-in and Check-out was extremely fast. The Tavern restaurant is right next to the hotel so breakfast, lunch or dinner is guaranteed. However, they close by 10pm. You have many other restaurants in walking distance.
There was no electric kettle therefore it was difficult to make any tea/coffee in the room. I think a basic kettle should be provided along with a complimentary bottle of water on the day of arrival as its inconvenient when one checks-in late at night.

One of 2 rooms was over a restaurant you had to go through to walk up 3 floors it supposedly closed n locked up at 1130pm. But an early departure reviled 3 homeless like types sleeping; one in steps we used from our room 2230 down, and two on the couches of restaurant inside.

Good location, very short walk to the beach. Restaurant was good. Room decor was nice.
Really bad mildew smell, scent stayed on my hair, clothes and items after leaving. Pool was closed for some reason, which was one of the main reasons we booked. While my room did not seem dirty, there were stains on the wall which looked like it was from cleaning products, cracks in floor, as well as the bed frame was peeling, which is off putting when staying at a hotel. This hotel definitely has potential If these issues are fixed.

Location and one employee that was pleasant.
Old hotel, beat-up bed, dirty, not a daily service, you had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper , swimming pool is a joke, not a friendly staff, besides the one hispanic lady, very expensive for the service that they offer. Never again, i wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Money was not a refundable option.
When i booked, i was in a hurry, but I learned from this.
Garbage hotel.
Motel 8 is 100% better than this.

Location of hotel was great and enjoyed the outside coffee area in the mornings.
Foyer in suite building smelled like damp musky. The room smell was fine no smells. There was black hair on floor from previous occupant. I am blonde. I had an issue with pet deposit. I paid twice. One was reimbursed immediately. Waiting for second to be reimbursed.

The coffee was very good.
The entire hotel needs a deep steam cleaning: the lobby/check in, the cafe, the hallway carpets, my rooms floor, etc. The bathroom was nicely appointed but there was sand in it. A roach joined me in the shower.

The toilet was leaking in the room request for another room refuse to give it to me they did fix it but the next night I had a problem with the water it wouldn't get hot and the beds were too soft it felt like it was sinking you in like quicksand

It smelled moldy. I assume its because theres no working fan in the bathroom. Extremely loud AC and air purifier that is was impossible to sleep with such background noise. I had to turn it off at night.
Found someones hair on my sheets. Also floor didnt look clean. Couldnt dry any of my swimsuits for 3 days I lived there. Was told when moving in to ask for a check out at 1pm and when approached a guy at the front desk told was told absolutely not possible. Well np but I wish I had read reviews before staying there.

The hotel is in nice place, but it have not received the refund for safety deposit 100$ . I have checked out 17th of February and now is March 6th. I have called a several times to reception to inform them about this situation, but all answers I get is we have released the funds. The guy who I was talking to on phone was not nice either. These are the reasons why I cannot recommend this hotel.
I have not recieved my 100$ safety deposit refund, what was promised to be released the same day as check out.

The staff at the front desk especially Carlo and in the restaurant especially Raquel. The location was good for us and the service dog policy was amenable for my business partner who is a retired wounded US Army Veteran.
The hotel policy concerning parking out front of the hotel was not clear to me and my car was towed.
I would advise the hotel management that the Tremont Towing Company is watching their location like Hawks with money as their aim.

My room exceeded my expectations. I was leery about booking because of the reviews but when I arrived I was surprised by the cleanliness, ambience and the staff. The front desk agent saw that it was my birthday and upgraded my room to a suite with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I will definitely book again!

Smelling stair cases, not so good bed. It was bad on one side. Spoilt Iron box, No Iron Stand, Bad key and lock for Bathroom door. Bad attitude towards the customers, especially from the bar room during happy hours. Not friendly at all.
