Room was clean and bed comfortable.
On our third night our sleep was disturbed by tree cutting on Powell Street involving chainsaws and a wood chipper parked below our window between midnight and 4.30am, followed by street cleaners for another hour. The following morning at checkout we complained of our poor night sleep to the staff . A manager was summoned who was very sympathetic and handled the complaint very well, removing one nights stay from the bill.

Temporary aircon unit was badly fitted and double glazing seals were broken so room was noisy. Layout of room was poor. Poor access to fridge as it was blocked by bed. TV was poorly located to be viewed from the bed. Bedside lampshades were large and hung too low so and would hit our heads when plugging in electrical items. There were no bedside light switches on one side of the bed.

The design is nice
When I arrived to the hotel, the lady from the front desk (it was Dec 7th 2023 around 17:00) was really rude with her answers when I was telling her that my partner was turning around to parking the car. The next day, I ask the same lady if I can have back my luggage that they kept for a couple of hours. She was pushing my shoulder bag with her foot instead of pick it up, she did the same with my partner’s luggage. (it was Dec 8th around 15:54). Finally, I asked her if she can call the valet to get ready my car, after 15 min I had to walk to the access and I saw the valet and he told me that he wasn’t notify that I ordered my car. She doesn’t have any clients attention or manners to deal with the belongings of the guests.

Really good hotel. Price/value was really good. Rooms are fine although the central AC is not working (hot or cold) so they use the mobile units which takes a lot of space and the rooms are not big. Finally out mobile AC wasn’t working properly. But it was fine. Really liked it and would recommend it definitely.

It was very clean and the smart TV is customizable. They have two elevators and a main staircase for floor access and each floor is equipped with a water dispenser and ice maker. The small boutique gym is located in the basement, equipped with plenty to be able to complete a great workout. There is also an ATM located on the basement floor which I thought was a great note that should be mentioned. The cafe in the lobby was also super convenient and pretty tasty, a bit limited but it will get the job done for a quick stay. However, if you do elect in-room dining, don't be surprised when the hotel robot is the one to deliver your order to you. You will receive a call first to your room to let you know once it's arrived outside your door. It's a pretty neat technology touch. Also, for my MUA lovers Sephora is literally right next door, on the cable car side of the hotel, as the main floor hallway extends through to both sides of the street. The WF mall is 5 minutes away walking distance. But I do caution the area (Tenderloin) due to the multitude of present homeless people unfortunately, similar to many areas in CA though.
I really don't have anything bad to say aside from minor particulars like the size of my double room. It did feel a bit stuffy at times in size, but from what I have been told, that's just most of SF for you. The hotel was nice, the room had what we needed and was comfortable. The room service robot was so much fun! The room service was delicious, which was just what we needed after a long fight! The reception area was nice and there was lots of room to relax on the first floor!
The location was great in terms of watching the historic cable cars and getting on them early and beating the queues.
The location was good in terms of union square and being perfect for getting on the cable cars, but the area in general has a lot of drug users and we didn’t want to go out late at night. But this would have been the case for any hotel in this area.

Excellent location in terms of mass transit (cable car, BART, etc).
The entire area around Union Square has fallen on hard times.
Location in terms of proximity to conference. Also only 20 metres away from BART line to the airport. WiFi worked well consistently.
Not the hotels fault but there were lots of homeless, anddicts and drug dealers immediately outside both entrances. This end of Powell Street is in steep decline with many of the shops closed. ( however if you walk about 250 metres north there are shops and restaurants.

The central location is excellent. The room is clean. The wifi and coffee maker work well. The front desk staff is helpful.
The biggest problem was the Business Center. I tried to print, and I tried to scan, and neither worked. When the staff came to help, they couldn't make it work either, but they did later print and scan for me using the hotel's computers.
The other disappointment was that the bathroom had only a shower not a tub.

Perfect location for every mode of transport, great hotel, very clean & modern. The fridge in our room was a massive bonus.
The WiFi didn’t work after our first seven days & we kept asking for help but no one really bothered. In the end we worked it out ourselves.

Nice hotel next to the Cable Carts and good location within the city. Friendly staff. Shower/bathroom was very nice.
Bed was soft. Light was on in the room even if we definitely turned it down after leaving, which made us get the idea someone entered even when we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door.

Cleaning was bad, they wouldn’t even remove dirty glasses from one day to another. Service generally wasn’t nice.
The lighting in the room was nonsensical, There was no natural light and the lights at each bedside were strong and connected, so I couldn’t turn one on while my husband kept his on, for example.

Arrived a bit confused as to whether I had already paid or not. The man on reception spoke very rapidly about taxes and resort fees etc and suddenly my credit card was over its limit. I hadn’t paid but the extra daily amount (resort fee) suddenly put my quoted price from Booking.com and my AUS conversion way out. I am at the end of my trip so I was paying close attention to my expenses. I understand about the taxes and resorts fees but often a hotel will just take a CC imprint to secure any extras. In this case the hotel took the money. I wonder how long it will take for the money to be back in my account.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and the bed comfortable. It is very well situated for the BART and metro being right next to Powel Station
The room lighting was a bit too subdued and with the dark floors made the room a little unwelcoming. The shower controls were not clearly marked and not totally intuitive.

The elevator is small and can only accommodate 4 people max with luggage or bags. The air conditioning in our room was being worked on but the hotel staff brought in fans and also made an adjustment to our resort fees for covering the expense.
