I stay here every time I travel to SF for business. The location is perfect if you have business downtown. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and have a "home like" quality that is much more appealing than a cold, cookie cutter, typical business hotel chain. I love that every room has a ceiling fan, and a bathtub is available in most rooms. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the linens are high quality, and every room I have stayed in has an interesting view of the city. I love the historic qualities of this hotel! It is unique, beautiful and represents that feeling of 'old' San Francisco perfectly. The only things missing from this hotel that would make it literally perfect are room service, and a convenient on-site restaurant. Thankfully, Uber Eats solves that issue easily. And, last but not least, the price is right! Affordable, convenient, beautiful, clean, friendly staff, free WiFi, and so much more!

The location is unbeatable, just a block from Union Square and close to everything you need to see in San Francisco on foot. The hotel has a beautiful historic atmosphere and the rooms are very comfortable. We paid for an early check-in and it was worth it to start our trip early. Highly recommended for its strategic position and style

I suggest improving the communication between the front desk and housekeeping to ensure guests can enjoy their full stay without interruptions

The location is very good.

When booking, we requested rooms next to each other as per the previous booking. One room was in the corner and the other in the corridor. We did not get connecting or adjoining rooms, as requested. We repeated this when we checked in, however they said none were available. When a room was available, they said we had to pay extra. Second, I requested featherless pillows and duvet when making the reservation. This request was also ignored as my room has pillows and duvet with pillows. We were overall disappointed with the level of service provided by the hotel.

Location was great. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower was fine - though the sink was curiously low.

The hotel was rather noisy during night time with sounds from the hallway, elevator and strange sounds from the wall/AC. Also traffic noise was loud in my room at 6th floor. I has asked for a room as high up as possible, but 6th was about the lowest floor with rooms (the lower ones are used for a theatre and other things).

Located just off Union Square, the hotel room was surprisingly quiet considering its central location. The cable cars stopped very close to the entrance which was super handy. And the train was a short walk away which was helpful when going to/from the airport. The room and bed were very comfortable. A big size and reasonable price which is always a nice surprise in a big city. The free coffee in the morning and sherry in the afternoon were always a nice treat. Staff and other guests were very friendly!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kensington Park Hotel. It’s a really charming place and I loved all the decor — it has a lot of character and feels really nicely done. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and our room was comfortable. The location is great too. You can walk to so many places around the city, which made getting around really easy. This hotel has so much character. I love the feel it offers and the original decor that is still there (and well cared for). Location is hard to beat for access to all the best things in San Francisco. All the staff I interacted with were so friendly. I also loved the water machine available for refilling water bottles that offered a variety of options.

The room didn't have air conditioning, which would have been fine, but the window only opened slightly so the only way to get good air flow was to use the loud ceiling fan and have a draft in the room.

Great position in the town, close to any useful things, from restaurants, bars, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also, the position was perfect to reach the Moscone Center (where GDC takes place). The guests and people at the hotel was very supportive and help me with any needs. For sure, I'll book this hotel again for my next trip to San Francisco.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and made good restaurant recommendations too. Very helpful during a mixed up Turo drop off situation. The water refilling station with different flavor options was so nice due to unseasonably warm weather. The location is safe and the lobby is very nice and clean.

Wish there was a little more breakfast. The pre-packed pastry was underwhelming. The room door didn’t always latch when you just let the door shut behind you-just had to be careful.

The location was ideal for being downtown. The water filling station by the main door. The staff were nice and tried to help. The beds were comfortable.

There was no consideration for families with children who needed two rooms to be beside each other. One of the rooms smelled like smoke, so we had to request a change. The other room, the TV didn't work, and the shower didn't work, and we had to wait for it to be fixed the next day. We ended up simply taking what they had, which was two rooms for our family, but 3 floors apart! To be honest, I think it was because we booked through booking.com and everything was prepaid, so they didn't give us any consideration, nor did they follow up, even though we emailed them directly after the first night. The rooms were hot, and the fan was creaking all night.
