The hotel is a beautiful palace right in the center of the old city. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of food.
The staff does not fit with the hotel. They gave us the worst parking indications possible.. To be more specific, they simply gave us a wrong adress. Hotel's parking entrance has no sign at all so it was impossible to be found. After the parking adventure, the lady that checked us in made us pay in advance even for the parking. All other hotels let you go in the room if the amount for the room is already blocked on your credit card. So, even if they had blocked almost Eur 1500 from our credit card, they kept us waiting at check-in for about Eur 100, the parking fee. Worst, the lady that checked us in wanted to take another Eur 1500 from the credit card and not to use the amount that was already blocked by the hotel.We had to explain her again and again that this is not a nice thing to do, beacause the first amount will stay blocked for many days. She kind of knew this, but she did not care.
In our first morning we had breakfast at about 10 o'clock. As the closing time was coming an asian-european lady came at eact table and told people to hurry and grab food from the buffet because they will close at 10.30. Everybody was aware that closing time was coming, but it is not fit for a five star hotel to act like this.

Fantastic reception on arrival! Nothing was too much trouble when asked. The room size was incredible. The room was impeccably clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon! We were able to use space for a meeting the day we were checking out.
We will be returning but in the meantime recommend this stunning hotel to our family and friends. This place get a 10/10 from us!

The hotel is clean, very classic, simply organised and very comfortable. The staff also contributed to making us feeling welcome and at ease. Our room was big and functional with lots of space and everything we needed.
We would have loved to take advantage of the nice living rooms and of the garden, as well as of the restaurant, had we stayed longer and not planned our dinner in advance.
I would have preferred to have a thinner and stiffer pillow, as the one I'm used to, nevertheless the ones from the hotel did provide a comfortable night.

Spa facilities- we escaped for a long weekend and wanted to make use of down time to relax. It feels like the Spa section of the hotel isnt perhaps a focus and we needed to ask to turn on Sauna each day to use it (even within the opening hours they suggested). The steam room would be turned on but the Sauna was left off and after 3 days of asking we gave up on the end. Staff not as attentive as Id expect from a hotel of this calibre, they were very polite but often more interested in other things and not always aware of the customer needs and on point to deliver excellent standards.
We came to get ready for our massage treatments and house keeping were still clearing our room (2.30pm) and we needed to wait for 15 mins before we could get in, meaning we were rushing to get ready for our treatments. Another example of perhaps where communication should have been better as wed pre-booked treatments so they would have been aware we would have wanted to use our room.
We had issues with hairdryers and replacement ones got sent out but even these didnt work properly.
