The room was small but comfy - it had a single bed and a small table to work on. The bathroom was small but manageable. The window was towards the back of the building so it was very quiet and good for sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the internet was good. The reception staff was very nice and helpful, even though their English was a bit lacking. The location is right next to St Lazare and the Mouline Rouge to the north. The Louvre is about 30 min walking distance.
The shampoo and shower gel bottles in the bathroom were all already open and half used. I figured out only later that I can get new ones at the reception. Also I left the don't clean sign when I left in the morning only to find out that the staff had cleaned my room when I got back. This also happened the next day. The door to the room appeared worn - with scratches. Also the carpet on the stairs was not in a good condition.

Our room was small but this wasn't an issue as we weren't spending much time in the room and the value for money was fantastic!

The New Saint Lazare is a pleasant hotel. It is a three star. It is not a four star. The rooms are small and a bit scratched and scraped, but spotlessly clean, and the bedding was impeccable. I was warm. And it's very close to the metro Liège. The staff are truly charming.
Paintwork mostly. A good coat of paint especially on the woodwork would smarten this hotel up a lot. Everything is just a little bit tired.

Location is great five minutes walk to Printemps department store, Gallery Lafayette, Opera Garnier.
Didn’t like breakfast, cheap, limited options, no hot food. The woman standing in there and looking in your mouth forget to refill juice machine, and paying no attention is the food tray is empty… tired walls and room Devore. Needs new furniture,paint….

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the staff was very nice and friendly. There is a metro station 1 minutes away and the RER station, where we can take the train to disney and Versalles is 10 minutes away. The neighborhood is nice and there is a convenience store in front of the hotel, with very good prices. They also kept our bags when we checked out and went to see the town. Totaly recommended.
I believe it was not the hotel's fault,, but there were guests talking loud at very late hours, they should let the people know to be quite, the rest was excellent.

No soundproofing at all in the rooms. Can hear people talking in next room, traffic very loud in the street. None of our party slept well. Rooms were very hot and stuffy too, no air conditioning and were not allowed to open the balcony windows/ doors as there was a sign on them saying not to. Window/ door frames rotton. Curtains mouldy/ damp stained at the bottom. It appeared the balcony stonework was crumbling away and was unsafe. Hotel as a whole is very dated and in need of an upgrade. Bathroom wc, sink and tiles damaged and marked. Breakfast options poor.

The location wasn't bad. Only a few minutes walk to a main metro station and train station. Small grocery store right across the street. Hotel had an elevator which was great.
The entire hotel smelled bad - a strong chemical smell, in the hallway and the rooms.
The bed - we're an average sized couple and it felt like the bed was sinking as we got into it.
The wall beside the bed - looked like someone opened a drink that exploded all over the wall and it wasn't cleaned properly.
The bathroom was awful. Mold in the shower, including the dirtiest shower curtain I've ever seen in a hotel bathroom.
Don't even want to think about how dirty the carpet was with everything else we saw.
Thankfully we didn't need heat, but the heater was ancient. And no air conditioning if you came in hotter months.
Curtains over the windows were also gross.
It's a small room and bathroom, but that's typical of Paris hotels.

No mention of Tourism tax to be paid on arrival. We were told that city tax would cost us around 11€ for 2 people for 3 nights by Booking.com, however, upon arrival we had to pay just over 30 €.

The hotel is in a very good location in Paris , very close in 3 Métro stations . Τhe staff was very kindly.. We stayed there 5 days. The room was very clean and they were changing towels and sheets every day. The bed was very comfortable , and the heating was perfect.
The only problem that we had was with the unlock cards. Very often they demagnetised αnd we had a hard time getting into the room

Great location as described in many reviews. In a lovely building and great street. Very welcoming night porter, felt safe and comfortable arriving late evening. Simple room but mote that adequate when out sightseeing all day, we simply needed a bed and bathroom. Loved the window/balcony. Great to have a simple continental breakfast included before setting of for a day exploring. We explored Paris by foot however metro easy to acess too.
We took our time to research options of where to stay, balancing cost vs. location. As a balance, this for Paris prices, is reasonable priced whilst still being in a good neighhood. Small rooms but fitted our neededs perfectly No negative from us.

The hotel's convenient location makes it easy to walk to many interesting places. The proximity to the metro is an added bonus. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The room felt dirty, I entered the room it had a bad smell like someone had been sick, so with 45F weather I had to leave the windows open daily to air out. Chipped tiles in the bathroom with black mold on the grout, cracked lampshades, dirty carpet.
