I informed the hotel that we will be using a wheelchair so they understood that meant we have mobility issues. Much to our delight, they booked us a spacious room right off the lobby. It was so convenient and very much appreciated. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I wrote several messages inquiring about various things and the they always responded promptly and with helpful information. Again, this is so greatly appreciated.
The only minor glitch is that we arrived early but knew the room would likely not be ready until the 3pm check in time. They said they'd inform us when the room was available. We went to lunch then came back to the lobby to wait for the room. After sitting in the lobby a while, I thought that I had better check with the front desk if our room might be ready. Apparently it was already available but we weren't informed. It's fine and not a big deal; just a minor oversight.

Excellent location, a short walk to the Cathedral, Petite France and the Christmas markets. Very comfortable, clean and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice of hot and cold buffet. Lovely touches like there was a chocolate Santa on the bed on arrival and they came to the room every afternoon to give chocolates to celebrate that day’s saint. Of course the rate is at least trebled at this time of year but that’s supply and demand! I thoroughly recommend this hotel x

The location was really good. We felt we could see all of the old town using this hotel as our base camp.
The room was really outdated and cramped, and we even had one of the bigger rooms in the place. We were there in mid December, when it was cold outside, and the room was COLD. We had to ask them to come up and adjust the ancient heater using a special tool because it wasn't something we could do ourselves.

This time I stayed in one of the lower floor rooms (not the attic) and it was very comfortable, note this is in a very old building so none of the rooms spacious as with most hotels in this area.

We were traveling by bicycle and were able to store our bikes in the basement.
We chose one of the quirky attic rooms which was fun. One must be able-bodied and no taller than 6 feet to comfortably maneuver through the space. The bathroom is upstairs. The hotel makes these nuances cleae on their website. We had a view outside our window of the Strasbourg Cathedral and were able to watch the light show at night.
Gluten-free bread was available at breakfast. The fresh, homemade yogurts were delicious.
The hotel is located in the heart of the old city. Everything is an easy walk.
The hotel had issues with their wifi while we were there. The staff worked diligently to correct the issues and always informed the guests.

The area is noisy. Very noisy. Please keep in mind you are next to the Strasbourg Cathedral and that bells won’t stop ringing. Sleeping soundly and without interruptions is simply impossible (and I’m a heavy sleeper!) I only stayed one night (Saturday to Sunday), and it seems half of the drunk people in town decided to hang out in the square adjacent to the hotel. Even with closed windows you can hear it all.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Strasbourg, about a 20 minute walk from the central train station. The staff were helpful, booking us restaurant reservations and answering questions. The room was nicely decorated, extremely comfortable, and a good size for two people. We highly recommend the Hotel Gutenberg.

Location was excellent and certain staff.
Had a terrible room with bathroom up a flight of stairs in the same room. Horrible to use in middle of the night, dangerous steps and no headroom.
Night time reception worker gave us bad directions

The location was brilliant, hotel is clean
Room is small, breakfast was poor.
They are only offered late check out till 13:30 while my train was at 19:00 on Sunday and all shops was closed so I stayed at the lobby for 3:30 hours. The man on reception was unfriendly while the two ladies were so helpful.

The location of this hotel was truly amazing — just a short walk from the city center, shops, and stores.
Our room was in the attic, on the top floor, but it was extremely small! The bathroom was tiny — if something fell on the floor, you literally had to open the door to be able to pick it up!
Still, everything was clean and tidy.
The air-conditioning system was quite old, so we mostly kept the window open since the weather was nice.
We didn’t take the hotel breakfast because there were plenty of lovely cafés and pastry shops nearby.

This hotel was located a block from Gutenberg Square and provided many opportunities to explore Strasbourg.
Room was small. Perhaps we are too accustomed to hotel room sizes in the USA.

Front staff charged one of my clients 4 times for breakfast that was included in the rate---Charged several others also. Then, continued to argue with me when it was pointed out. Slow check in....breakfast was horrible.

We booked for one night during the Christmas season. We loved the hotel and the location so much we decided to stay an extra night. Thankfully they had one room left. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Mateo who was working the front desk. Rooms bright with high ceilings.

The breakfast was above average with plenty of food choices. The dayfront desk staff Matthew was so accommodating and helpful from instructions on where to park, explanations and booking for dinner. Very courteous and patient, I can’t praise him enough.
The evening front desk man named Nicholas was rude in the way he spoke to us. He made us feel like my husband and I were dense . He was impatient and discourteous . My husband was quite upset and just over the issue of taking hot water from the dining room coffee maker.

Perhaps the friendliest and most accommodating staff we’ve encountered on our travels. Emma, Sara, and Mathieu were particularly notable.
Great location in the old city area of Strasbourg, about a five minute walk from the cathedral. Particularly good for access to the Christmas Markets (which was our reason for being there).
Clean, comfortable room, if a bit on the small side.

Location is amazing ! The breakfast buffet is pretty good.
The beds are on the firmer side. This is no joke you can slip and fall in the shower. It is like an ice ring so be careful.

Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staffs esp Diana and another female staff (i don’t know the name unfortunately).
No elevator from 4th to 5th floor.
The floor in the bathroom area gets wet easily after taking a shower and it’s scary to slip and fall to the stairs.
