We arrived late from dinner in town and since it happened to be my birthday, the night manager opened us bar to make me and my wife a drink. Absolutely loved such a generous and kind touch. Meant a lot. Didn't get his name but he is soon to retire.
Other than that, nice modern and comfortable hotel...Recommended ?

Very easy to find with on street parking adjacent to the hotel. Walking distance to the old quarter where there are many places to dine.
Breakfast was very average in our opinion and perhaps we should have booked room only then taken breakfast at a local cafe or restaurant.

The location and the free and secure carpark facility. Especially when on holidays you have a fully packed car, theft and damage to the car is a mayor worry
Very little. The onlu thing I can think of is just like in every hotel, the pilot lights on for example the TV is very annoying. It keeps you from sleeping. We always end up either unplugging the TV or covering up the TV.

The room and bathroom were well appointed, clean, the beds were comfortable, the service efficient and courteous- Good buffet breakfast
There was no internet on the 4th floor, where we were staying. We were offered to move to the 6th floor, where the signal was better, but they couldn't accommodate on thaat level our request for 2 beds. We stayed in the 4th floor room. We used the cupboard with the mini bar to dry our underwear (the "fridge" was radiating such intense and unexpected heat).

Good breakfast selection, loved the salmon and fruit selections. The lobby decor was good. Lobby bathroom was clean. Was happy to have the option to park off the street, but appreciated the staff letting us know that street parking was free 6/6:30 pm to 8:30 am
The shower guard allowed water to splash out of the tub. The bar didnโt offer tapas. No drinking water offered in the room. Room was a little warm for us and the temperature couldnโt be adjusted below 23 deg. C.

Lcation was ok- 25 min walk to old city center and 15 min walk to other restaurants area. Room was clean and comfortable, no noise.
Reception is very cold, not at all as in other Novotel, no real welcoming, no information than the minimum. Breakfast was ok but quality of ingredients could be better, no real bar- kind of a room at 1st floor where there is none to serve and no atmosphere.

Would not consider this a four star hotel as it is a bit old. Carpets in a room need deep cleaning. One of the elevators did not work which caused long waiting time to get up. This was needed as we were staying with a baby and a stroller.

Attentive and helpful restaurant staff, close proximity to railway station. Room was spacious, furnished with style and clean.
Cleaning lady put pressure on us to leave the room 30 minutes before regular check-out time. Accessing and exiting the hotel's garage was complicated. Synthetic bed linen were not comfortable and air conditioning control in the room did not have any impact on airflow and temperature. Internet connection was slow and interrupted.

The hotel was understaffed and incompetently run. Accessing their car park was a nightmare as the button to open the entry gate was very well hidden! Not enough towels for 2 and desk staff were quite awkward about giving us any more. Tea and coffee items in room were never replenished.
Only discovered the day before we arrived that restaurant was closed at weekend ( 2nights of a 3 night stay). I had searched with restaurant filter option on so this is down to Booking comโs website
