Interesting place to explore in close proximity to the Motel are Rotorua Arts Village, Polynesian Spa, Tamaki Maori Village, Rotorua Museum, Waimangu Volcanic Valley, Ohinemutu, Redwood Grove, Tribal Lights Cultural Theatre, Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Te Puia and others.

The good things - the owner was extremely friendly & helpful, the location was good and the room was clean. Also, the spa was nice after a long day & there was a carpark provided.
The property is very tired. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and the quilts extremely old.
The shower went from freezing to scalding and back again every time we used it.
There’s very little soundproofing - we could hear every tap/shower/toilet flush as well as snoring & conversations from neighbouring rooms.
There’s no air con or fan so we had to sleep with the door open which didn’t help with the noise.

The chalet was very spacious and there was plenty of room. The bed was very comfortable and the whirlpool was simply fantastic.
The room was poorly insulated, so it was a bit cold, especially during the night and morning.

Older style motel but in good condition, and reasonably priced, and it was perfect for what I needed. I thought it might be noisy, being close to the main road, but I was in the middle of the block and it was quiet at night. Very friendly hosts.
