The room was dirty, with hair in the pull out couch, wrappers from previous guests still on the floor. Some of the dishes provided were still dirty in the room, not washed. The tub didn't drain properly. It was like taking a bath and showering at the same time. Breakfast offered was bland, not many options. The one day we got coffee, it had grounds in it! Seems like for it being a "Hilton", they'd have higher standards.

The location is great for touring chicago. While the valet is very expensive, it was certainly handy.
all the staff were wonderful however the young lady at the check in desk certainly is in the wrong line of work. Couldn't smile or even try to be friendly. Time to try and make some changes to the elevator issues. Crazy long waits which is unacceptable (even if you post notes advising of the issues)

The property is at magnificent mile which is at a great location and quite close to all the attractions including public transport and taxi routes. The room where we stayed was changed from 16th floor to 26th floor immediately by the staff when we reported dead cockroach in the room and uncleaned room. Responsiveness of staff to attend this problem was quick. The cleaner staff was accommodating and adjusting to our schedules.
The property apart from being at a great location has nothing more to offer. The room where we stayed didn’t had any laundry so we have to go to common area at the mezzanine floor. During the property check in and check out - there is a trolley which needs to be attended by yourself, in case if you have heavy loads, please be mindful. There are three lifts and they are extremely busy in the mornings, thought it does has a discretion note but the seriousness of the note is “real”. Sometimes, you will end up waiting for at-least 10-15 mins to get empty lift to use. The pool at the top floor has cold water, nothing that you can use in case if you have kids or toddlers. The breakfast is not that great. Often there are long queues and you have to wait in case if you are having breakfast at “usual” times. If you delay the breakfast to avoid queues, there is a possibility that you will be served some cold stuff and hot food will be finished. During 9 nights stay we end up having only 4 nights to have breakfast, so you won’t miss anything in case if you don’t include it in your it bucket list.

First of all, the elevator situation is insane, every morning I had to wait more than 10 minutes for the elevator, there were some days I had to go down the stairs at least 10 stories to get another elevator, get to the lobby and wait for the elevator to the M floor to get breakfast. If I’m paying for a stay at a hotel I would at least require to be comfortable. The breakfast was way far from being even good… so there is no value in that either

The greeting staff were quite good. They listened, acted positively, and we're courteous. I have no complaints or suggestions of what to do better..
The elevators were a disaster. I was on the 17th floor. It took 15-20 minutes for the elevator to arrive to take me to the mezzanine. Likewise for the return. The room cleaning staff suggested tricks like taking it up and then down (which is what they had to do). The room was potentially great. It would have been nice to have shampoo in the container in the shower. This of course was only detected once inside the shower. The breakfast was adequate. There was an icewater container that was empty and not refilled in the half hour I was at breakfast. It is hard to quench thirst with orange juice and/or coffee. The toaster did not make toast; it warmed bread slightly. The food was fine for a hotel, however.

Dirty pool, towels all over the place from day before, bone idle staff, breakfast would stop being served at different times everyday from 9:15 up till 10. Hotel has taken an extra $1000 plus from my account and will not answer the front desk phones. Customer service support is terrible. Deck chairs had dirty foot marks on bottom and lots of grime on floor tiles that aren’t clearly visible as shown in photos.

Waiting for elevators was insane. It almost ruined our trip as we spent collectively atleast an hour waiting for elevators. Each time it was a 5-15 min wait. Our door was locked (no fault our own- the metal flap lock automatically pops out?!) and it took 15min to get down (no one answered the phone at first…) then another 15 to get back up, and overall had to wait an hour just to get someone to open our door. Breakfast was ok. Overall I would not stay again due to the insane difficulty just navigating the hotel.

The staff was awesome-so friendly and helpful with everyone and it was busy! We were there for 3 nights and the staff was amazing the entire time. They upgraded us to a larger room with a view and it was beautiful!

Homewood did not have breakfast for the entire time I was there. Hampton was the other choice and it was not good at all. The rooms need a deep cleaning as does the entire hotel.
Breakfast was supposed to be offered daily as part of the package, it was not available daily. Never told us until we got downstairs.

Great location and friendly staff. The room was spotless and quiet. I contacted the front desk twice to report problems with the HVAC and they responded promptly.
The air conditioning in our room was very noisy and had trouble cooling the first two nights. After refilling the gas, it started to cool down. The elevator system is a mess. The wait time for elevators is ridiculous. We waited for almost 30 minutes for an elevator to stop on the 17th floor. I noticed that during breakfast time it only seems to stop on the way up and never on the way down. Limit elevator trips if you can. I will not stay there again due to the elevator problem.

The lift took a long while in getting to my floor especially during peak times.

The suite was large and it was convenient to have. Nice to also have a pool.
The elevator wait at breakfast time was 25 minutes! Pool area very dirty. Check in was extremely slow.

They told us at check in about their reception from 5-7 on Wednesday (which is one reason we choose this place). They told us it was food, wine and beer. They only served water.
We were told by the staff member working there that they stopped the wine and beer 3 months ago…. But the check in staff didn’t even know this!

The staff was excellent especially the housekeeper on our floor Maria!
The furniture was almost falling apart, the bathroom paint was all peeling off on the ceiling. The air-conditioning was absolute crap! Lastly, even though they warn you about the wait time, the elevator wait was more than 15 mins during breakfast, check in, and check out. So pretty much all day.... I would have never paid that much for that hotel.

Good location. The suite was large, the kitchen was fully equipped. The bed was comfortable, sofa bed was large size. Staff was smiling and cheerful. The washer, dryer were a welcome facility.
The lifts were very busy in the morning. The breakfast could be better.

I needed to make a change to my booking before my arrival but emails, voice messages and calls went answered for days. Change was only attended to when checking in and it took just 5 minutes.

Size of the suite and the view.
Absolute chaos checking in and no luggage trolleys. Had a 20 minute wait for the lifts- only 2 out of 3 were working. Using the lifts was an absolute joke throughout our stay as they took so long to arrive. One of the cleaners said the staff lift hadn't worked for over a month so they were having to use the guest lifts too. Virtually none of the equipment on the gym worked. I reported this twice but nothing was fixed. The pool area was dirty, mouldy and unkempt. Breakfast was carnage. The Homewood area was shut so we had to join the Hampton Breakfast room which was crowded and dirty. The breakfast selection was poor. Only 1 a/c unit worked properly in our room. The extractor fan in our bathroom didn't work.

Night security and desk staff were not at all helpful.
We waited 45 minutes for valet service to come to park our car.
We waited over 30 minutes for an elevator before taking the stairs 18 flights because no elevator ever came to the floor.
There was no information on where breakfast was located and desk staff did not provide directions to the breakfast room when asked.
The night security guard stood at the desk doing nothing while an Uber driver and a hotel guest got into a screaming match right outside the front doors.

The staff was super friendly, attentive and professional. We had an issue with a slow drain in the bathtub and they immediately resolved it for us.
The location is perfect. Everything was within walking distance. The Magnificent Mile has tons of shops, bars, restaurants and not too far from the river and pier.
The building, furniture and technology is outdated. It was decent but you can tell the building is old, the furniture and layout is super awkward and the TV's (they have cable) should be upgraded to Smart TV's to allow streaming or casting. It's 2024 I could care less about a basic cable package and would rather have the option to log into the streaming apps or cast from my phone. We didn't stay in the room during the day but when we got back at night this would've been nice.
Also, updating to Keurig's or something like a Keurig would improve the morning coffee experience.
