I really wonder how is this hotel ranked as a 5 stars hotel !! no mini bar(while the cabinet is there!!) ! no room svc. after 10 pm !! even thaw the menu is very limited !! the mattress is so much bad -curved in the middle , old and very abused - and the most important thing for us is the pedate-for WC washing in the bathroom ( most of new York respected hotels is providing when asking ) they even doesn't know about it the person who answered when i call looks doesn't know it!!

Liked? Wow, a lot of things.
- Location (literally in the middle of the Theatre District) and very close to Subway stations.
- Comfortable, with an excellent king bed (which I shared with my two small kids).
- Good bed linens (my kids loved... it was hard to wake them up).
- Perfect view from my room on the 43th floor (I could see the Empire States, the Times Square, Brooklin Bridge etc).
- From my floor I could hear sirens, so I can say my suite was very quiet (but listening the city noises is also a NY experience).
- Good natural lightning (lots of windows). And good curtains to keep the room real dark in the morning.
- Excellent shower, with blindex, good water pressure and also with a nice view! Loved the shampoo and body wash.
- Good elevators with good waiting times.
That's it. Recommend it!
It's not fare to say I didn't like something... but I missed a mini fridge in my room. And I would also like having some bigger towels. But these are details. I wouldn't consider these negative. Maybe, if I requested, they could have helped me.

The location was superb. Very easy to get around and everything you need is right outside the door. The staff in The Foundry was fantastic, especially David. He was so helpful and professional. He gave us lots of great advice on where to go and what to do. He's a real asset to the hotel.
The wi-fi is payable and expensive at $16.95 a day. I would not expect this at a high end hotel.

Whenever we called through the hotline through the room phone, no one picks up! Itโs disappointing. The front desk is always crowded and you had to wait for a long time just to ask/tell them things. We requested for a room with no shower curtain but we were assigned to one. Also, the hotel gave free tickets but the system were done when we are there. Room credit should also be cumulative throughout the stay and not day by day.

Perfect location. Everything within easy walking distance. The bus station to take the coach to New Jersey outlet mall just across the road. The underground metro and Broadway right on your doorstep. Could not have asked for a better location. We had a room with 2 double beds that were super comfy and a view of Madam Tousourds. For the gym rats the gym is perfectly equipped for a good workout. Everyone in the hotel were super friendly and we felt perfectly safe when stepping outside the hotel.
We had the buffet breakfast the first morning but found it quite expensive after tax and tips were added. There are plenty of perfectly good restaurants close by that serve amazing breakfasts at half the price though my daughter loved the waffles and the bacon was amazing in the hotel.

We really liked the comfortable beds and the ability to catch the subway to explore the rest of Manhattan. We don't love Times Square in general but the lobby on the 2nd floor away from the crowded streets was nice and the rooms were quiet also. We loved take out from LOS TACOS No.1 down the street combined with a margarita from the hotel bar for an easy and affordable family dinner after a day of NYC adventure.

Every thing . Worst beds, Worst staff, Non responsive staff, Arrogant , they just Did not care about guests . They would not even put towels in bath rooms and when asked at 11.00 pm ( the time we came in after long tour ) to supply just bath towels they would make us wait for 1 hour and 10 minutes to provide towels and that too after 4 calls to house keeping through front desk .

Dear Madams, Sirs !
Yes, we stayed last week at yr WESTIN at TIMES SQUARE/NY.
We did like the hotel, otherwise, very much, but, something happened that kindly spoiled our holiday.
I explain:
We did the booking at BOOKING.COM.
We paid everything to them and it mentioned TOTAL to be paid: .....
Unfortunately, when we made check in at the hotel, the recepcionist, a certain GERALDINE informed us that we had a voucher of 20 USD to spend at the bar, for instance... indeed we liked it and were happy.
Much to our disappointment and surprise, while checking out, there was a DESTINATION FEE on the amount of 80 USD that yr staff said it s mandatory. I said we can t pay for something we were not informed about at BOOKING.COM nor at the hotel during check-in. They just said that everybody else pays for it, that it s not your fault, that it s BOOKING.COM s fault !?... We talked to the manager in duty, JORGE and also later on asked to talk to the director, an afro-american lady whose name I cannot recall and she just told the same thing.
Therefore, this was a very bad stain in our trip and thus we could never recommend your hotel to people due to the fact I told your staff we feel ยปscrewedยป (pls forgive my language) and that s not honest to charge for something without prior notice nor information.
That said, I told the director I d escalate it (she said the same) and would write to you.
I hope you could agree with us and proceed to credit our credit card for that amount as it just does not feel right.

The room was beautiful and clean; location was great and a great view from the room; hotel was beautiful and the ladies at the front desk were lovely and incredibly helpful and kind.
Beds were a bit small for 2 people in a luxury hotel. No free WiFi (in every hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap or luxurious, they've ALWAYS had free wifi). And had a nasty experience with the bellman - we left our luggage on our final day, the bellman who put it away was very kind, but when we got back to pick up our luggage, a different bellman assisted us, who was late, which made us anxious as we had a train to catch, and then when we didn't tip him (as, to be fair, all he'd done is pull our suitcases out of ajoining room, which took all of 30 seconds), he started loudly complaining to the entire lobby that he'd been stiffed. I know I'm a Brit and not used to American tipping culture but surely that's too far?

We asked for 2 connecting rooms since traveling with kids. When we arrived, we were told that the only connecting rooms are on "9th floor". The 9th floor looks like utility floor. Rooms are tiny and aged. In addition, the view from both windows was blocked by a wall, literally 5 ft away ! Some sort of technical structure of the same hotel. This was our kids' first visit to NYC and they were hugely disappointed :(
Manager and staff were not responsive to my requests to change rooms. There was no attempt to accommodate the request, I attempted several times, and at the end gave up. I guess we will have to revisit NYC with a better hotel.
