Location...I like being right on the river and close to downtown and the shopping areas and right off the interstate.
The Pillows was too soft. I prefer a pillow that doesn't sink into the bed when I lay my head on it

I was very disappointed when I didn't get the room that was portrayed by Booking.com. Westin said they have no rooms like the one Booking.com said I would have...the Westin did everything they could to help get as closs as possible what I was paying for.
Booking .com false advertised what room I was getting. Westin was great, booking.com mislead me. I would like some kind of compensation toward this booking. Please advise

The room had a river view which was nice. The building across sort of threw off the vibe, but we enjoyed the river on the balcony at night.
The bed was too soft with sheets that didn’t fit and unrolled all night. The ac was old! The sink was clogged and very slow to drain which got gross after a while. The staff cleaned but never removed dirty glasses but did bring new ones. Several times we realized we hadn’t slammed the door, and it had been open for several hours. Be aware that on Saturday night, music blares below until 2 or later.

Over charges, valet parking $75 I stay 2 days they charge $75x3 , I have little shizchu they charge $120 , $174 for secure deposit I stay 2 room for 2 days total was $1578 plus $549 for my puppy and 2 days valet parking , lobby to small restaurant food not good. Overall I’m not coming back .

Excellent location, the lobby is nice and cozy. Enjoyed the thanksgiving parade and the festivities.
the property needs maintenance. The air conditioning in our room wasn’t cooling enough, drain got blocked delaying our plan for the day and the mattress wasn’t comfortable. For amenities, every time we had to call the housekeeping. It would help if some basic amenities are available in the room without asking. Service is average, staff could be friendlier.

Poorly run, badly trained staff. Valet parking is 3rd party and don’t care about getting guests in or out and are rude. No carts on arrival, no carts on exit. Bellhop never showed on exit-had to drag luggage down ourselves. No mention of special overpriced dinner menu $85/person when asked about dinner at front desk. Did not honor breakfast included. Meals took forever-food ok, but not worth the price. Restaurant staff extremely slow and untrained. Food and drinks spilled at multiple tables. Awful for food allergies. Elevator noise rivals flight path noise. One of the worst high end hotels we’ve ever stayed in.

It was very pretty with Christmas decorations. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable.
I didn’t like the location of the room. It was down by the pool area with lots of kids. And in that area there were no hanging Christmas lights in the trees. I will ask for a room in a different location next time. One of the main reasons I go is to see the lights outside of my balcony. I had a view of the parking garage.

A nice location
Extremely understaffed. Couldn't get a room until hours after check in. Dirty dishes in the hallway from someone's old room service remained there all night. Paid extra for a river view, but all I had was a view of the roof of the building across from me. The room was so high up the river wasn't visible unless you hung over the balcony to see it. Very underwhelming and overpriced.

Very nice hotel. The decor is what I like coming to a hotel like this one. Valet workers were excellent and worked hard at check to get us in. Took 40 minutes but they were very apologetic. Front desk personnel were nice willing to help.
My room. Spent extra to get a Riverwalk view. I got a pool view. They told to try to change rooms on Sunday but it was not worth the trouble. Food tray in hallway. It was there when housekeeping were in the area and on Monday morning it was still there.
I took a bath on Saturday and no soap in shower . I took a bath with shampoo. At elevator decor has been broken. Sharp edge could result in someone cutting hand. I see these items as lack to attention to detail. Finally, I ordered bath soap and extra water at front desk. House keeping brought shampoo 1st. Then later the same woman brings water. She tells me if there was anything else we need because they will send her again. I told her that the items were requested at same time. If she is annoyed, then address it with front desk. This was the most annoying of all issues. We come often to San Antonio but not sure if we would give this hotel a return visit.

We loved the location and the fact that it was right next to the Riverwalk. The hotel is situated so well that we could walk to most of the sights we wanted to see and also conveniently close to an array of restaurants, which we loved. The rooms where spacious enough that a family of 4 could stay comfortably. We only made use of the in room dining, however having breakfast in the beautiful restaurant was brilliant. We highly recommend the Westin to anyone wanting to visit San Antonio.
