It was amazing to have a microwave and fridge in the room! Was great living in the top floor! Window could be opened which made the room comfortable, recommend to keep it open during the night for better air.
Microwave and fridge smelled bad, we didn’t complain about it is our fault it wasn’t fixed. Also the TV was kind of behind the shelf, not too bad but a bit annoying. The view was straight into someone’s apartment, but far enough!

Room was very clean and staff was very nice. Came back to a cleaned room and made bed each night after the Dead & Co shows. Would definitely stay again. Was very happy with the quality of the stay with a fair price.
Only downside I can think of I guess would be the location. The hotel itself is in a safe/fun location with easy access to a corner store and pizza joint across the way. Mc d and 7/11 less than 8 minute walk. If you arrive at night and get off BART at Civic Center/UN Plaza maybe get an Uber to the hotel to skip walking through the Tenderloin. Other than that I never had a reason to pass through and got Ubers late at night. Had 0 issues :)

The room is small. It is not completely clean. The area is scary a little cause the street is too dirty with shit and trash. Homeless is everywhere. They have carpet everywhere, and the smell is so gross like a year without cleaning.

They lied on their listing about parking, so I had to pay 45 dollars to park overnight and then walk a few blocks past drug addicts pooping in the street to get there.
The sheets and pillow cases have the same texture as plastic grocery bags and the entire hotel smells like pot.
Additionally, don't believe the listing, which also says it's accessible. You have to go up stairs (there is no elevator) even just to check in. The room I was in also had a tall step to get from the bed to the bathroom.

I liked the area and the space that was given - we used the 24/7 parking garage down the block and they were also nice! The elevator is a manual one but I found it really cool. The hotel itself was clean and it seemed very antique, I would stay here again!

It was an amazing location, very close to everything. There is a cute little market next door on one side and a laundry mat on the other. Walking distance to Japantown. The front desk people were very polite and helpful. The hotel itself was very charming. Not overly extravagant by any means, but it was well kept and clean. The rooms were very nice. The beds were comfortable. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. With the little market next door means you can eat in and save some money if youre on a budget. I especially enjoyed the elevator. It's *old*. It works just as good as when it wasn't, though. It's an experience all its own. I will likely stay here again when I vacation in SF.
Honestly there isnt anything that I can think to be negative about. If youre looking for a luxurious over the top place then I guess this wouldn't be for you, but if youre wanting an affordable, comfortable, clean place to return to after the long days, then you found what you're looking for.

The location is very central and the neighborhood seems safe. There is a grocery store downstairs and a number of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms were on the small side but not cramped and very clean. I was nervous and wondering if I could really be getting such a great deal. They are budget accommodations but really good budget accommodations. Definitely planning on staying here again.
If you are planning on using public transport it can be some distance to the bus or BART. We used lyft and most rides for our party of six were only $10-$15 each way. The only thing that was a minor inconvenience was the only mirror is in the bathroom. It would have been nice to be able to do my make-up in the main room while my partner was showering but this was a pretty minor inconvenience as I just used the little mirror on my compact instead.

It was budget-worthy. Since we were travelling for a conference, we hardly stayed in the room except for sleeping. Drinking water was not provided, so it had to be purchased from a nearby store. By evening we could see a few homeless people in the vicinity, but the rooms were clean, and Hari, the guy at the help desk, was very helpful. The room had a fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker, and heating system. It also has a storeroom, which allowed us to keep the room essentially clutter-free. It has a small bathroom, but it serves the purpose. For people who avoid elevators, it has stairs. And for those who need it, it's there too! It also features an antique elevator.
The corridors are narrow, and the location was close to a questionable neighborhood. So if you are traveling at night, prefer a Lyft/Uber. For drinking water, you need to make purchases from the nearby supermarket.

Comfortable bed, hot shower and coffee facilities in a good, central location. Useful desk with electricity ports for running a laptop etc. Fridge and microwave provided in the room.
While the desk, fridge microwave etc seem quite new, the decor in general is run down - everything is functional, it just seems very tired. There's no bedside table or electricity to charge your phone by your bed.
