Location is great. Close to metro, bus, groceries, and restaurantes. Staff is helpful and nice.
Bed makes noise. Not very comfortable. Breakfast is basically cereal, toast, and PB. Didn’t have courage to eat there - everything looked dirty. AC is noisy and goes straight to your face. Limited privacy since the bed and bathroom windows face the patio. Courtains do not seem to cover 100%.

There was a strong bad odor in our room that we smelled as soon as we walked in.
The room could be cleaner. Dust on top of sink lights.
The curtain had yellow stains.
The ac was set to stop intermittently instead of running nonstop. The constant on and off pattern was disruptive to our sleeping.

Wow. what an experience! I wouldn't have picked it if I knew about the true condition of the establishment. Put it this way, the YHA in central Melbourne has far better conditions than it offers. I have used Booking. com for many years with confidence. This stay changed my view.

Lots of stairs. No elevator. The included breakfast was white bread or whole wheat bread, apples, and oranges and cereals. Juices and coffee.

Great location and the lighting inside the room is very nice
Bathroom towels had hair in it, they only provide two flimsy pillows for the bed even though the images showed more pillows (when I asked for some extra pillows the woman at the front desk said she couldn’t find any extra ones to give me). Also the main door to get into the hotel is unlocked so anyone from outside can basically walk into the building and sometimes when the front staff step away from their desk late at night, they leave the second door to the lobby slightly ajar which again is very unsafe. The bedsheets were very itchy and rough; the shower was very grimy. Oh and the tv didn’t work — the remote control didn’t work with the tv (I think the batteries were dead)

Location was great, walkable distance from most “to see” things in the city.
Even though the jazz festival was done at midnight, another street performer went in till 2am right outside our room, so it was quite noisy. Room could have been cleaned better but it was decent. Breakfast was plain but good.

Convenient location for long-distance bus parking and the center.
I couldn't find the hotel when I put Google.map on the road navigator. The navigator took me to a block of multi-apartment residential buildings. The corridors of the hotel building smell bad. Later we realized that it was probably marijuana. The shared rooms are dirty, shabby, out of date. Not taken care of. At the same time, the room was clean and with fresh air. Next to the hotel and near it ,are prostitutes, homeless people, drug addicts (especially in the evening). Breakfast is poor.

Just the location
Was pretty disappointed, even though the location is nice and receptionist was nice. The place literally looks weird. The lift felt old and scary a bit to use. My room was dusty, curtain was torn and dirty , bedside lamp also had so much dirt on it. The worst part was the drawers, they had so much dirt in it and had items that didn’t belong to me in them. Washroom had its own issues too.

Location is amazing
There’s literally so many homeless people trying to get into the property. There’s a buzzer on the door to let you in and the homeless can sneak in whenever you walk in. When we tried to go in with our luggage, it’s a huge climb of stairs, no elevator. There was a large homeless man blocking the stairs so we had to move around him to leave.

Location. Within walking distance of the Montreal Eaton Center, Complexe Desjardins, Montreal Convention Center, and Chinatown. Has a kitchenette for making smaller meals, including refrigerator, sink, oven/stove, coffee maker, and microwave.
Air Conditioning was very loud. Room was right next to an event space, so it does get very loud when there’s a concert going on. Few stains on the pillows and sheets. Vents in the washroom didn’t work. Lastly, wifi stopped working on the last night of our stay.
We opted to do their laundry service, as advertised on their door as well as confirmation via PM on booking.com for $20/bag. We had to go back and forth as the person kept giving us 1 hour ETAs. When we received our laundry, a few items totalling $240 were ruined as it appears they used bleach on the products. When we went to front desk regarding the incident, they advised us to speak to the boss in the morning. When we spoke to them, they refunded the laundry fee, but declined compensation, stating to taking it up with the person who did the laundry, and stated the hotel does not offer the service, and therefore does not take responsibility. I requested possibly getting a refund for 1 night as it was close to the value but was also declined. After a bit of back and forth, they offered $100 as compensation which we reluctantly agreed.
Overall, other than the laundry incident, the hotel is fine in terms of location, as well as price in comparison to other hotels in the area.

The location is very central just a few meters from place des artes and chinatown, which offers great food options. For the location it was a great price.
The room was a nice size and seemed clean but the duvets seemed to haven't been washed in a while. The washroom had a very bad humid smell. The location even though central had some issues. The surrounding area was frequented by homeless people that would enter the building and litter the entrance of the hotel. Also the breakfast was very simple with toast, butter, jam, cereal coffe and juice. All in all it was a good price for the location but the amenities were merely passable.

Very quite no noise, if you are travelling and you are looking to get easily in the centre, there is the bus service from airport to the hotel. 3 minute walk from the hotel every 10-15 minute you will get the bus to the airport. Perfect location; everything is close like supermarket, mall, downtown. Staffs were friendly, they will make your stay comfortable do not hesitate to ask for help. Breakfast is OK with that price but they did their best by providing fruits and brown and white bread. :)
Carrying luggage to first floor is bit difficult. Be prepared for it.

Above all, the location. Then the price, the pleasant, professional staff and the old [n.b.: really old]-school charm. I had a comfortable bed and a great view out to the lively, colorful corner of Bl. St. Laurent and Rue Ste. Catherine. In general, the place offered everything I needed and nothing that I didn't need, at a price that made my stay affordable. I stayed at the property some years ago and thus this time had a sort of "at home" feeling.
What I did not like was the pulsing, intrusive sound of the "Festival MUTEK" in the adjacent [and ironically named] Esplanade Tranquille, which boomed until 11pm most evenings and until Midnight my last evening. Some might have found this a total deal-breaker. I simply found it to be an annoyance that, under the circumstances, I was ultimately willing and able to abide. The hotel staff was sympathetic to my expression of concern.
