The hotel is well situated in downtown, the room was not very big but it had more than enough space for both of us, it was also well furnished and had everything you need (small kitchen, iron with table, hairdryer,...).The room was quiet too, we spent only one night there and it was perfect.
Special notice to the breakfast, a lot of choice is given, not the best we had but more than enough stuff on the buffet to eat.
Almost nothing, frankly we spent only 1 day there but everything went as good as we wanted, we slept well, we had a decent breakfast, the staff was very helpfull, ... Though maybe others will find the room a bit small

The location was good - I was able leisurely walk from the train station to the hotel, and the from hotel to events. However, there are many other hotels in the immediate vicinity.

The location is good and bad at the same time. The good thing is that it is located in close vicinity to the Old Montreal and Notre Cathedral, you can literally walk to many iconic Montreal places without using public transport or taxi.
The bad thing is that the place seems to be very popular among local hobos and marginal people. You can see them gathering all around the place and communicating loudly during night hours.
Breakfast is pretty humble, but croissants are very fresh. The room was not big at all, but was clean.
The room was ridiculously small for 4 people (in fact it was a 1-person sized room at best). There's no way to walk around the room unless all the other people sit still on their beds. Sitting is another problem. 2 out of 4 beds are floating bunk beds, and the space between the 1st and 2nd levels of beds is very narrow. The fact that they decided to make lower-level beds very tall (taller than you would expect to see in hotels) leaves like 0.5m of space between the ground and a floating bed. So there's no way to sit on the ground bed, you can either lay flat or half-sit in the fetal pose. Beds themselves are quite comfortable, even though you bump your elbows or other limbs against the upper bunk, every time you roll in the bed.
Overall it felt more like a hoStel experience rather than a hotel, and in my opinion, the room wasn't worth the $150/night that we paid.

I thoroughly enjoy how walkable everything was from the hotel. We were able to get everywhere by walking as it felt like all the good stuff was a 20 minute walk or under. There was an IGA (grocery) right across the street and lots of restaurants. You're located right in Chinatown and recommend checking out some of the restaurants that are right around the corner. The room was setup efficiently and had everything we needed. The a/c blew cold, shower worked well, bed was comfy and TV had some local channels. I didn't hear any other guests while we were there. The staff was friendly and helpful!
I found the breakfast to be a bit of a disappointment - the only form of protein was boiled eggs (no scrambled, bacon, sausage, etc). I do book hotels based on if they have breakfast, because who wants to walk around looking for a place to eat when they just wake up, so this was probably the biggest let down. The room did feature a nespresso, which is great - however I am a tea girlie and there wasn't anything of the such. When we were leaving the room to check out, we were checking around to make sure we had everything - and I did find an empty beer can under the bed which was not ours. I would have mentioned something to the staff if I found this earlier and given a chance to rectify, but we were checking out at 5am to fly out. So just double check all areas of the room before settling in.

The location, so very loud, and the rooms are badly insulated. I asked whether my room would be noisy, I was told it wouldn’t, and couldn’t sleep throughout the night because of the noise. The room and bathroom weren’t that clean, especially curtains and windows.

Horrendous value for money !
$194 per night for a room that felt like a prison cell, adorned with 4 bunk beds !
Even a student hostel at $30 per night would have been better!
Staff was rude and hurried all the day.

The location was great. The staff was friendly. The complementary breakfast was decent.
The rooms were tiny. Parking was unavailable so we had to find parking offsite. The blanket had two blood stains on it. Called to get it replaced, but no one came. Had to go downstairs to request a blanket. The staff dropped off the replacement blanket but never bothered to take the stained one away. Bathrooms also don’t have any soundproofing.

Modern feeling of the hotel. Travelodge are pretty much standard... old... ish feeling. This location has a more modern feel overall. Location is good, around 700 meters away from Place D' Arms. Breakfast room is really good. You are steps away from Desjardins Complex - that has a grocery store, Dollarama, Winners, Pharmacy and a Food Court.
Our check-in time was not observed. We had to wait past the check-in time. Staff was very friendly and apologetic though. I wish the location had scrambled eggs or sausage as I have seen in other Travelodge in ON. The options for breakfast were very good, but for a celiac you are stuck with hardboiled egg and a fruit.

I really liked the location and cleanliness of the facilities. I read a lot of reviews before booking, the majority negative, but for me and my family, this hotel was great. The room was definitely smaller than other hotels, especially the bathroom, but we even got a view of the city, so I honestly dont understand people's complaints. Everything was clean, the lobby area was very well kept, and the hotel personnel was welcoming. Breakfast was nice as well, and everything was good. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel and the metro was close. The hotel let us keep the bags after checkout for later pickup so that was a plus as well.
