A truly exceptional property and hosts. The spectacular location with a direct view of the Rialto bridge was incomparable. The hosts, Matteo and Barbara are both passionate about their property, which they directed the renovation of down to the smallest detail. It was like stepping into a Palazzio in the 14th century, just with all the 21'st centuries comfort and convenience. Excellent breakfast with home made baked good, delicious caffe's, and in the evening your choice of fine crafted cocktails with the best view in Venice. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Extremely convenient to all major sites, and easy to find your way back as it's just next to the Rialto.

No better place to stay in Venice! The staff is incredible! The location is perfect. The room was very large with 2 seating areas and a king bed. What makes the room is the window that opens to the canal. Last time in Venice we had a large room at a nice hotel. We had a window overlooking a side canal. This time felt like we were on the canal from our room. When we got back to the room for the evening we opened the window and watched the world come floating past us. We had drinks with music from the privacy of our room, with a view that you will not get anywhere else! When we were ready to sleep we closed the windows and we had our large private room to enjoy and rest. This room is well worth the price and more! Will never stay anywhere else in Venice.

Chose this hotel from the many others in Venice based on the incredible reviews and yet we were still blown away by the service. All the staff so friendly, greet guests by name, nothing is too much trouble, made reservations for us, happy to give tips and a history lesson whilst making the best spritz's in town! The terrace and view is incredible, found ourselves marvelling in it every breakfast, afternoon drink and post dinner night cap, such. an escape from the busy alley ways to watch the daily activity on the grand canal. The breakfast is lovely with homemade pastries from the hotel owner and freshly cooked eggs. Room was spacious, comfortable, dark and quiet, and the bathroom lovely with a good shower. Already planning our return trip.
Nothing, Venice is a very busy and touristy city so where you stay will greatly impact how much you like the city, so do yourself a favour and stay here!

I loved coming home at night and sit on the terasse with a full view of the Rialto bridge and all the gondolas and boats on the River Grande. In the morning, to have breakfast on that same terasse, the most abundant lovely breakfast. Finally, both the owners and the people who worked there were all extraordinary. I will definitely wish to return, I was so sad to leave...
My room was dark but we got used to it. It was large and everything was adequate. The decor was pretty. The bed a bit too hard. We had everything we needed.

Owned by a couple matteo and barbara.. love their friendliness and the delicious eggs prepared by matteo and the handmade pastries by barbara... the staff knows all the guests by names... only 9 rooms available at this quaint venetian hotel. Location is perfect and 2 mins away from the Rialto bridge. Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel. Lovely views from the terrace .

I have no words to describe what it was staying here. This simply has to be in the top 3 best stays of my life. The hotel is something right out of a fairy tale. Venice is an incredible place and this hotel was just as charming as the city itself. I almost didn't want to leave the room or the hotel, It was a vacation in itself. Waking up to breakfast was the highlight of our day. Matteo and all of the staff at the hotel treat you like you are the only one there, a very personalized touch. The view is absolutely priceless. I am not sure of many hotels where the Rialto can be seen from breakfast OR your room so close.
All in all, this is really one of those wonders that you have to see to believe and is a must stay for everyone.

An exceptional boutique hotel located directly on the Grand Canal! The on sight owner (Mateo) and his staff are phenomenal. Accommodating every request... and offering spot-on recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, travel arrangements, etc. A small terrace overlooking the Rialto Bridge and Grand Canal is a truly special place for the excellent breakfast included each morning. If possible, arrive via a water taxi directly from Marco Polo airport to the hotel's private dock on the Grand Canal. Mateo was on the dock to welcome us personally, and gave us a brief tour and history of his property. Personal touches like this continued throughout our stay... and made it special, almost like your part of the family.
We booked the Junior Suite with a water level view directly on the Grand Canal. A very large double window can be opened and offers an incredible view of passing gondolas, the Rialto Bridge and the everyday boat traffic. I'd be surprised if there is another hotel room that offers such an intimate view of daily life on the Grand Canal... we literally spent hours here, relaxing and drinking it all in.
The bathroom in the Jr. Suite is a quite small, but functional. For us it was a non-factor, as the very spacious suite and great views more than compensate.
