The hotel is a short walk from the Ca d? Oro waparetto stop. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean. It is a small hotel but for the price point it met our needs. We had a canal view room but ee. had to stretch our heads out the window to see it.
I would choose to stay closer to St Marks next time?the walk from hotel to st marks was very crowded and took about 15 minutes. It was farther away than I realized. It has an old feel for sure?very old furniture but it worked for the Venice feel.

Hotel Ca’D’Oro is a hidden gem. The hotel is located off the busy tourist streets in a quieter charming neighborhood in Venice. It’s just a 5-8 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge and 10-15 minutes to St. Marks Square! The entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable! And the views from the roof were simply incredible! As a solo female traveler, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore Venice!

The ,location was really good but it was hard to find when we arrived and you need to factor in getting there over the bridges when you are carrying heavy luggage as we were. The staff were very helpful.
The Aircon’s simply doesn’t work. The corridors were cooler than our room and despite asking the staff to look at this on 2 occasions nothing happened. Our room was really warm and after a day in 37 degrees you need the aircon to work to get a good nights sleep. The lift was very small so getting luggage an 2 people in it was a tight squeeze. I’m not so good with lifts so the thought of it getting stuck with me in it wasn’t good, plus the display didn’t work and it moved and stopped with a jerk which didn’t add to my confidence.
The bathroom was tight but manageable, however more space could have provided if they replaced the bath with just a shower and removed the bidet completely ( not sure that anyone uses bidets anymore ?). As there was no window the extractor fan needed to work and it was sadly lacking which meant that the steam from the bathroom escaped into the bedroom further adding to the heat and humidity of the room

The room I booked (Double Deluxe) was not the room I got. They room I ve stayed is not sold in the hotel‘s website. The hotel does not provide one single photo of the „double deluxe“ room I got. The room was very different than the ones in the photos for that category. No wood floor (what was the main reason I choose the hotel), very old facilities, no proper windows (they have a kind of very up window that you cannot see anything). I felt like in a prison. The room was in a separate building out of the hotel building, it did not have a proper security, since at night anyone from outside could reach our door room directly. The room was the only guest room in the place together with Staff rooms (I felt that they had a staff area over there before and changed it to a hotel room). I spoke to the receptionist and she said that I should have asked to change earlier, that at the time they did not have a way to clean it. I was wondering if I ve arrived at 22 h how could I ask to change? And I come on! I stayed the whole day out..once I was back I realized that the room had nothing to do with the room I booked. It does not matter if the hotel thinks that it is a double deluxe as was said by the receptionist, what matters is what I payee for and what they sold! If you sell the rooms in the photos you must provide them to the client! And a question..why the hotel does not add pics of this room so? If I knew, I would not have booked that one.
It was very frustrating. I m in the way to my vacation and would stay just one night (I knew Venice already ), so was bad but could be worse if I would stay more days.
The hotel is really old and no renovation is made since long time.
Be sure to double check the room before!
I would not recommend it to be very fair with you guests.

It is perfectly located, only a few minutes' walk from the Ca 'D'Oro ferry stop. Also, the hotel is clean and welcoming. On the first day, a complimentary bottle of water was provided in the room.
I stayed in a room close to the elevator, so I heard every person entering or exiting the hotel on the second floor, nevertheless, I am not a light sleeper, so it was OK with me. Only disappointed by the coffee quality and the view from the window to the outside shutters, which cover the "no city view" of the courtyard.

We stayed in room 101 which appears to be just above the front desk and/or other staff. We heard conversations late into the night and very early in the morning. Beyond the noise, the mattress was very firm; by far the most firm we slept on during our vacation of several cities/hotels. The pillows on the bed were unacceptable. I would not choose this hotel again.

I stayed here for 5 days, 4 nights. It was an excellent option to explore Venice from the city's heart. I didn`t use boats, only walked on my feet everywhere. The hotel is 15 min to San Marco Square. The room was small but enough space for everything, the bathroom is pretty big, compare to the room ) heating and hot water, and many towels were included.
Good breakfast. Cruasans and meat were so delicious!
There is also an elevator and rooftop. You can observe a beautiful view on Venice from the 4th floor

The Hotel is al ocated perfectly in the center to reach all sights like Rioalto Bridge, Marcus Square by foot. Also to get to the public Airport Transport boats less than 10min. Rooms are absolutely fine, small but with a real good bed. Breakfast is for the price of EUR 12,00 just great. And of course the staff is extrmely helpful and nice. The receptionist Cathryn was awesome and so helpful with everything I had. I would always stay again in the Hotel and can just recomend. 10 of 10 points! Thank you for the great days my mum and me had.

Great location nice and quiet away from the touristy spots.
Bed was very hard. Shower head was not working properly. The design of the restroom was really awkward and off. Bidet was infront of the shower door.

Great room, comfortable bed, big bathroom, and the roof terrace was amazing. Good breakfast, great location if you're arriving by water bus (blue line) from the airport, and even in the middle of Carnaval it was very quiet at night, and still on walking distance from all the good places.

It was the worst bed I've ever slept on. Incredibly hard with terrible pillows. I hated having to come back to this hotel, it really was that uncomfortable. I would wake up frequently and found it very difficult to sleep because of the hard mattress and uncomfy pillows. The receptionist also told my wife 'not to go out at night or you'll get stabbed' on our first night. Incredibly poor from her. Also, the cold water didn't work and the Aircon also didn't work.

The room was comfortable, with all the amenities I would expect.
Hotel staff were busy managing a different property when I arrived, and I had to wait for someone to arrive in order to check in. There was ongoing construction in the building, making the hallways messy.

Hotel was at a very nice location. Breakfast was okay and enough. (I would like to see and eat more vegetables cucumber and salad in the morning. They didnt have it at the buffet. So i’ve bought that from the market which was very close to our hotel. But except these they ‘ve got everything) they only give coffee capsule at the 1st day of your stay. And if you finish this, its over, if you ask for another capsule then you have to pay for it. Another interesting thing was if you want your towels to be changed then its again extra. They only change the towels once in 3 days .. this was again an interesting moment for us. Besides everything was perfect. Veronica at the reception was very helpful. She upgraded our room for free. Thans to her again that we had a perfect hotel experience.

Everything.! We were moved to another building for our stay, owing to remedial works in the main hotel - this was no hassle at all
The suite we were allocated was stunning. Clean, newly renovated with everything we needed.
The building was super secure and they provided umbrellas!
The staff were helpful and amazing - I’d forgotten plug adapters - they leant me some to use for my stay
The location is perfect - we walked from the bus station and it took about 20 mins, and a lovely walk. Everything was close by - the Rialto bridge, St Marks sq, the water bus - it’s an entirely walkable city

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the location with the rooftop. It was quiet but convenient to get everywhere. The private dock made it easy to get to from Fusina port and depart from to get to the airport. They helped us arrange private water taxis for our transport. Well worth the money for the private taxi. Would highly recommend.
Small lobby where we also stored our luggage. It was safe though.

Room appeared newly furnished in attractive modern style. Small but lovely bathroom with beautiful tile and nice rainfall shower head. Reception staff was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Quieter section of the island, but still close to everything...
and of course, you are in Venice which is spectacular.

Beautiful hotel and good quiet location next to a canal. Lovely room design (got upgraded, read the didn't like section).
When we arrived we first got a room below a room renovation on the floor above, there was construction dust falling from the ceiling from the vibration. Luckily the staff moved us to a better room. All good from there.

It was a nice spot with a small restaurant square nearby plus on the road there from the train station, a public spot with more sweet treats. It was a clean area and near a taxi boat to get you to the other islands.
It was great, no complaints.

Breakfast was great. The larger room was beautiful.
The smaller room was SMALLLLLL and also on the canal. It was great for my in-laws. But I am rather annoyed I had to pay extra for my larger room to be on the canal and I paid less for the other room because I specifically choose for it to not be on the canal but it was. It worked out but being the one paying the bill that bothered me.
