The room was mostly clean. There was a bathrobe and slippers provided. A small continental breakfast was provided with a dining room. There was a small gym area that provided enough equipment to get a workout in. We had a refrigerator and safe in the room, which was really nice. The staff was attentive and responded quickly to any issues we had. They were very nice and accommodating. I will definitely stay there again! Hopefully, when the rooftop bar has reopened.
When we first checked in, it was sweltering in the room. When we let the front know, they quickly fixed the thermostat. The bathroom smelled of urine when we checked in, but once we had housekeeping reclean the bathroom, it was fine. The bed was VERY FIRM. When we woke up in the morning, we felt sore with stiff backs and hips. There is a rooftop area, but it was closed for renovations. The hotel had one ice machine at the lower level. One thing that was a little weird is that the shower does not have a closing door or curtain, so water splashed onto the floor, and we had to use towels to get the water up.

Really disappointed with this booking. Normally, everything goes smooth, but this time was different. Had issues like a bloodstained blanket and missing housekeeping (had only 2 out of 5 room cleaning), hotel facilities were super cheap (small gym, "meeting room" is basically an old PC), air conditioner was not working at all. Didn't even mention the fact that it was rediculously expensive. I thought the booking site would help sort this out, but they just told me to deal with the hotel directly.

Staff tried to add almost $500 in facility fees that were NOT disclosed at check in or booking. Management insisted this was correct and only corrected the mistake after we got booking involved. They were rude and said it was our fault, even though we confirmed our total cost multiple times with the hotel before our visit and at check in. They did not show any interest in correcting their mistake until we got booking involved. I would understand if this was a one off mistake, however they have attempted this with multiple customers based on their previous reviews and have clearly made no effort to correct this issue.

Good firm bed. Pillows were too soft, but bed was so comfortable that it overcame the pillows. Location is perfectly convenient to the #1 train. The Flower District is a wonderful neighborhood. Room was quite large for a NYC room at the price, quite surprising. Shower was hot & powerful, but the structure of the shower cabinet is terrible. It's difficult to shower without wetting the floor despite a towel down. Lots of unexpected supplies in the bathroom: dental kit,
shaving kit, etc. Excellent breakfast: many choices and delicious. Lighting in breakfast room is terrible. It looks like disco lighting. People want to see what they are eating and who they are eating with. Staff was helpful, friendly, and informative. We have stayed on W. 28th St before, and will definitely return to this hotel. Cleaning staff was excellent.
See above: pillows, shower structure, breakfast room lighting. The room was surprisingly nice, and I was surprised because the lobby is a little shabby. So the room was a real pleasure because it was not run down at all.

The internet on the 15th floor was terrible. I connected but was either painfully slow or kept disconnecting. I have messaged the reception via booking.com but they do not monitor the inbox regularly and their only advice was to come to the reception. Which first of all I did not have time to stop in the morning and late at night I was in no mood to wait to talk to someone when there were people in front of me . I think the hotel is good if you do not need to contact reception.

The location was close to where we needed to go.
Friday we had NO AC. Basically we had to tough it out because no maintenance available until the next morning. They said 9a, however I had to go down there at 10a and wait and additional almost 30 mins. Then it finally started to kick in after 12 noon Saturday. We didn't get sleep Friday due to having to sleep with the window open to get air. Lots of honking and noise. But front desk didn't seem to really be bothered and no other accommodations made for us that night. Not even fans! TOO MUCH MONEY for issues to happen like that and no backup or resolutions timely.

Hotels best parts:
- location is SO GOOD. (times square 1km, central park 3km tms, close to everything)
- neighbourhood was super nice. Calm and felt safe even when I was walking alone (as a woman). Some homeless people but they dont bother nobody.
- subway/metro (number 1) is super close. Metro is very easy to use once you figure it out. Take the unlimited ride metrocard for 7 days (34$)!
- breakfast included in price. It wasnt super big but it was very nice. Coffee/Tea/Hot Choco, Pastries and croissants, yoghurt and fruits.
- King room was cozy and big.
- Safety box and free luggage storage.
- Free bathroom essentials (shampoo, body lotion, vanity kit, shaving kit tms..)
Hotels not so great qualitys:
- Showers (in our King room atleast) had two options only. Very hot or VERY cold. There was nothing inbetween. But the hotel free essencials were so nice (shampoo, vanity kit tms)
- Wifi was very very bad in the hotel room. We bought an eSIM for our trip. Made life easier when investigating the city also.
- Non-Noise cancellation rooms tms is something you need to be ready in NYC. Sirens are to be heard all the time from morning to night hours. Rooms had blackout curtains tho that were amazing.

Room service everyday was excellent, staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, facilities were great and considering where the hotel is located, amazing value for money. Breakfast was nice and the gentleman in charge of it was so welcoming and friendly.

Nothing, everything was just horrible
We booked a familiar room (3 people) accessible with wheelchair and it turned out that, even though it was advertised as accessible, it wasnโt. A person alone on a wheelchair wasnโt able to open the roomโs door, nor any other in the hotel, since they are very heavy and the automatic buttons to open them donโt work at all.
Many things in the room were broken (handle of the bathroom door, the main ceiling light in the bathroom was broken and not working - thus we only had a little mirror light for the whole bathroom, the mirror was broken, a drawar handle was broken and fell off just by walking close to it, we had no safe in the room even though we were supposed to have one).
When we confronted the staff about these flaws they always replied by saying that they would send someone to have a look but this never happened.
The cleaning service was very poor both in the room and in the public areas.
The staff was very indifferent towards the guests and their needs (we confronted other guests about the conditions of the hotel and they were all upset as we were).
The area is not safe at all, cosidering that some beggars slept on the forniture right outside of the hotelโs main door.
When we checked in the first day we were given two room (instead of a familiar for 3 people) because the technicians were supposedly fixing something in the room we had booked (but given the status of the familiar room described above I really canโt see what was fixed). Plus, the following day reception moved us to our original room, but to do so we were requested to check out from our two provisional rooms early morning and only after 15 pm we were given access to the familiar room, thus staying half a day without any room (and no compensation whatsoever was applied nor proposed).
Lastly, during one of the night somone managed to open our roomโs door from the outside and tried to get in. Lucky we had the lock inserted and the outsiders didnโt manage to enter.

Our expectations were low about NYC hotels but this stay was a very annoying one.
We had a AC problem, it was extremely noisy. Even though I informed the staff, nothing really changed until the last day of our 5 day stay.
Breakfast room has a very interesting lightings (like a night club) and itโs far from being a cosy environment.

I liked the continental breakfast every morning which was included for free, a nice bonus
I arrived at 10.00 am after a 24-hour journey from Australia, which included a 2-hour cab ride from the airport, and I couldn't get access to my pre-booked room until 3 pm, so I had to wander around the city for another 5 hours. That was a bit of a trek.
I organsied a car to pick me up at 6am on the morning I was leaving and it wasn't booked for me when I went to leave. Then I just wanted to jump in a cab but the guy with the beard got me out of the cab and told me I had to use the car that he just booked. 10 minutes later and 15 minutes after I needed to have left he told me that the car was 10 minutes away so I realised I was being courteous to someone who didn't have the courtesy to book my car in the first place so I jumped in a cab which was $15 cheaper than the "pre-booked" car would have been.

AC is broken in the room. It was very hot. I asked the front desk to get me another room but thereโs no available. I asked a portable bed so we can sleep to our friends room they donโt have one. So we slept in the room with open windows. Next day the manager said technician will fix the AC and $35 refund. We came back to the hotel from our sightseeing tour the AC is running but with a loud noise. We called the front desk. Technician came looked at it and said the AC was not working properly. He told the manager to move us to another room. We moved to a new room. The manager will refund us one night price of our stay. We checked out May 30 asked the front desk about the refund and said it will be Booking.Com will pay us the refund. I need the refund back to my account.
Thereโs no immediate resolution if problems arises. Rooms should always be checked if all amenities are working properly before and after occupancy.

This is an excellent place to stay. Nothing like walking outside your hotel and seeing tons of flowers and plants. This is in the flower district and it was by far absolutely wonderful and beautiful. The staff greeter us everytime we stepped out or when we came back from sightseeing. Breakfast had the best person ever to greet you and he had the biggest smile. He made sure nothing was low in quantity and the pastries were delish. So was the coffee. Rooms were quiet and very clean. You could get to the subway easily walking just one block away in either direction. Would stay here in a heartbeat if I ever returned to NYC.

The location is excellent, literally walking distance of major subway lines, with lots of good restaurants and bars nearby.
The staff are very attentive. Every request we made was fulfilled within minutes, and they kindly accommodated us with an early check-in..
We were told upon check-in that the hotel had a continental breakfast. It was however, just yogurt, croissants and apples, which does not make it a proper continental breakfast (or even a proper breakfast really.)
