I dont think this hotel should be part of the Marriott group.The only reason I booked this hotel was because of the brand.The rooms are quite small.The wardrobe/hanging space inadequate.It is really a place you would stay a maximum of two days.Unfortunately I had booked it for an extended stay.As rooms and hanging space inadequate had to keep my clothes in luggage.Wouldnt recommend for more than 1 person.Included breakfast is very busy and not much choice.Hot selection poor.On this trip encountered during one of the hottest days there was no water/shower in the room and no aircon for 24 hours.Guests received a half night refund which is really inadequate when you cant have a shower;then when water returned only cold water.In my room air con actually further mal function and moved room eventually.Due to busy period I couldnt find alternate accomodation for the extended stay.

The highlights of the hotel are the location, the cleanliness and the comfort of the bed.

I was very disappointed with the breakfast by this supposedly 4-star hotel. Not only the food was disappointing, but the dining area was also very uncomfortable. I had breakfast my first morning and ended up skipping it for the next four mornings. Also, the whole place lacks space. I could barely move in the bathroom. Lastly, my room was next to the maintenance room, and the walls seemed to be extremely thin, as I could hear the employees while on their "break".

Location was excellent.

Breakfast room was too small to facilitate the number of guests and was always a very uncomfortable experience. Queues were long no matter what time we went to breakfast and the tables were too close together. The lighting in the room was extremely poor and we were literally trying to see in the dark.

Our room had a problem with air condition that was very loud and had to be fixed two times during our stay. Even though we asked for a room on the high floor during the reservation, we received the room on low floor and as we saw in the elevator, almost everyone had their rooms higher..

Location of this hotel is excellent being so close to the subway. I was a solo traveller staying in one of the tiny studio apartments, but it worked well for me and had everything I needed. Kitchentte was great.

The main pain point with this place is the lifts due to volume of people - very long wait periods every time you want to get the lift (everyone was frustrated all the time). Daily breakfast - did once then avoided as way too many people and the food choice was poor. The free WiFi did not work for me, a problem as I was there for work. Final annoying thing was that it was my birthday during my stay and unbenownst to me, I was sent a few birthday packages. Staff did not notify me of their arrival, and then when people followed up to see if they'd arrived I asked staff about the packages and they 'misplaced' one of them and it took them two days to locate it. There's got to be some kind of system to let people know that something has arrived for them!

The staff were exceptional throughout in all departments, a massive shoutout to the reception and breakfast staff for hosting us and providing a tremendous visit! We felt comfortable and welcome during our stay thanks to the hospitality provided. Air con is extremely loud. Even when it is turned off, it will scream a while. Breakfast being included is very nice, but it is chaos in the morning. Very tight space packed with people. It also ends far too early, we often were unable to make it to Breakfast in time. Room is tight, so nothing is ada, but you do get more sq ft than surrounding hotel options. Sliding door to the bathroom never remains closed, keeps creeping open. So, no pee is in privacy. We never used the elevator due to long wait and used the stairwell instead. It was fine for the most part, but some nights someone pissed in the stairwell so it would reek of urine. The iconic smell of New York.

I met with the hotel manager because I was not satisfied with the small size of the room and the noise of the air conditioner. I guess room sizes are like this in New York, because I encountered the same problem in another hotel 10 years a go. He gave me another room with a very good city view. The reception staff answers all your questions and is friendly.

The breakfast area is a little small, but you can sit at a table without waiting too long. A breakfast with more variety, especially meat, could be offered. There is not enough seating space at the reception and waiting for the elevator can be a bit boring.

The room is too small specially the restroom. The restroom door was not closed properly and it was an issue for us. The lobby was so small that the line for breakfast blocked all ways to elevators and you have to wait long time in the line. They have 4 elevators but it took at least 10 minutes for them to arrive. Very nice hotel, rooms are not too big (space), but everything you need. Beds are super and all facilities are great. Gym is perfect and breakfast is perfect as well.. people say it is not so full of choice but for the space and what they offer, it is actually perfect.

It is true that the breakfast area is relatively small for the sizable amount of the hotel guests. However, hotel staff are dealing well to coordinate the process during peak times. No issues with that. Location is brilliant, just in the middle of everything. The room was very quiet which we appreciated immensely.

The room could use a deep cleaning, there were several angles in the room and bathroom full of dust and other things. Cleaning up would have a positive impact.

Cleaning services were nice, the staff was very friendly and all our requests were satisfied. The room and the kitchen had all the necessary facilities. The bed was comfortable. Overall nice.

A first problem is that we had to sleep in another room due to overbooking, which is annoying. Then, the air conditioning was definitely noisy, so I had to sleep with earplugs. I also agree that there are waiting times for the elevator and the breakfast, but I wouldn't say it is so impacting. Finally, price and room dimensions are what you need to accept in NYC.

The room was comfortable, clean, quiet, and the bathroom was well constructed with marble and very clean with all the necessary amenities, such as soap, hair conditioning, and shampoo. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were fresh and they accommodated my request not to have down comforters or pillows. The kitchen was adequate and fully equipped with everything except for an oven, but it does have a microwave and a dishwasher, in addition to pots and pans and dishes and silverware. The room itself is pretty small. There’s no place to put away your clothes I had to leave my stuff in the suitcase and on the floor, which essentially gets in the way, but that’s a small price to pay for all of the other amenities that are included.

very small room, no place to put your clothes and it’s a very busy building, so when trying to take the elevators doing visit times sometimes it takes a long time for the elevators to stop because they are always full. I believe there is over 40 floors in this particular building.

The location was exelent, walking distance from some main attractions. The hotel is located in a quiet street, so not much noise during the nighttime. The kitchenette was so convenient, we could always have cold drinks in the fridge and save money by making lunch and dinner in the room.

The pillows were somewhat uncomfortable but we managed. The walls are a bit thin, so we could always hear very clearly when someone closed the door next to us, but it wasn't too much bother.

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice little kitchenette plus a small dishwasher - bonus. The housekeeping staff did a lovely job every day which was much appreciated. The air con was noisy which I reported but nothing was done in the 4 days we were there. But at least it functioned adequately in the 30+ heat. Central location near Penn Station and subway was great. Wholefood Markets a block or so away handy for food if one wants to cook in and save money!

The room was rather small and we had to skirt around the suitcase on the floor.

The wait for elevators is way too long. there are only 4 elevators servicing about 40 floors, resulting in long long delays every time we went to or left our room on the 19th floor. If appears that when the elevator reaches a certain weight (even 1/3 full), it will not make any additional stops to pick up passengers. This resulted in many people from the lower floor taking the elevator all the way up first and then ride it down, because the elevator never stopped on the lower floors. The breakfast room is too small to accommodate the morning breakfast rust. Because of that we never took advantage of the free breakfast and opted to eat out instead, which is a lot of fun in NYC anyway.

The closet ( wardrobe) is extremely too small. We even got the guest room without any closet at all on our first night . And the weird thing about this condition is none of the hotel staffs ( front desk officers) realized about this LACKING of closet for that room. We requested to move to a proper guest room with a closet yet the FO staffs said they are fully booked . So , we finally got a chance to move to a proper guest room next day. Basically the guest room size is so small for extended stay category. The kitchen facilities are really good. Room is very clean. Elevators are not convenient , they don't have a lighting signal for the one is ready . Breakfast staffs ( waiters , greeters ) are really good and friendly plus polite. Even though it's almost always crowded.

The gadgets for cooking or heating and utensils were available. Breakfast was ample and no limits.

Room was small and lifts take a lot of time. Unless you have lower floors, waiting for lift even takes 20 minutes during mornings.

Excellent location for where we needed to be. Rooms were small, but typical for NYC, very clean and efficient -- had a surprisingly full kitchen, including a dishwasher! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Elevators! One wasn't working and the other three were always full; sometimes had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for an elevator Breakfast had lots of options, which was nice but it was crowded and lines to get a seat if didn't want to take food back to room

Location was absolutely perfect, close to heaps of attractions, subway stations, restaurants/food, shops etc. The fact that a good breakfast was included. Friendly staff, free reliable internet, bag storage after checking-out, organising of hotel shuttle, the gym, lay-out of rooms, pantry/fridge/big tv in room, safety cupboard in room, etc

NOTHING! My friend and I could not understand some reviewers complaints about the quality of the breakfast (plenty of choice), small rooms - not huge but perfectly use of every m2, bathroom/toilet door ( come on, this worried me but absolutely nothing to worry about door does close shut!), waiting for elevator, sure at busy times there could be a wait but it’s just like ”rush hour” can’t be avoided at certain times of the day….plan accordingly.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms, overall I’d highly recommend it. Breakfast was busy but very well organised. Even at peak times, the wait was not too long. You do have to wait for the lifts, but there are stairs and we don’t mind some exercise to use them :)

Room was not cleaned every day, but it was not a big problem for us as we were hardly in the rooms.

A big thanks to Ashton who was very welcoming and took the time to explain us everything. She is really great. We had a very good time there. We are used to come for a few nights to Manhattan and this time was really good. A really perfect price/quality. I highly recommend this place.

- central location, noisy but you cant hear it from the room - there are 2 locations in one, TownePlace and upper floors is SpringHill, offers different views - excellent staff at reception! Shout out to Mama John at the breakfast, breakfast area has amazing hard working people , very nice! - room had a small small kitchen that was very helpful, rooms overall are small but we got an accesibility room to support us with the baby and the stroller

- generally small rooms - breakfast is eatable but i wouldnt consider it a 4*hotel breakfast
