Trash (empty wine bottle) left behind in bathroom from previous guest. The room smelled very strongly of bleach. Something in the bed left small red bumps on my arms -- spider bites maybe? Staff barely paid attention when I checked in and out.

The Lodge was everything I expected, my daughter and I just wanted to stay at a very nice place, I was so amazed at the Lodge that my husband and I will be staying at the Lodge again for 2 nights in June. The staff was very professional and courteous.

the outdoor hot tub was great, the heated pool was a little too cold for me.
the kitchen closed a little early, so we were not able to eat at the restaurant on site. I did not find the staff at the front desk to be very engaging, and was disappointed they did not have any water in the lobby area to fill water bottles before heading out on our hikes.

Shower wasn't clean. The shower head was way to small, not alot of pressure, smelled like mildew. No microwave. No complimentary breakfast. Ceiling fan didn't work(which was not a huge deal) all the hidden fees.

The fan in room was broken. The breakfast buffet was expensive for being cold and the end of items! We arrived at 9 am for breakfast. There was still an hour left more of breakfast. The eggs were cold. They were at the end more eggs should’ve been made. The sausage and bacon was made in chorizo sauce so that they were hot and spicy. The potatoes were cold again could’ve been replenished a terrible meal for $16 a person you expect for that kind of money a person to have a hot meal with choices. With the fan broken, we couldn’t even open the slider because there was no screen on the sliding door to let fresh air in. It was definitely cool enough to do that.

The bed and shower are incredibly comfortable, and the courtyard around the restaurant is a lovely place to sit and write, read, or converse. We will be back. We ate at La Frida Mexican Grill and we highly recommend it. My photos are from there.

The facility was unique and quaint. We liked its location and the size and comfort of our room. Much of Tucson was easily accessible, and there were many restaurants nearby (although most were a short drive).
We had no internet for our first several days despite notifying the hotel. Finally, on the third day, the manager moved us to a different room where the internet worked most of the time.

Easily accessed but secure overnight. Rooms are very large and accommodating. Bathrooms with spa baths and large showers wonderful. Pool facilities are clean. On-site restaurant is somewhat expensive but offers great food and pleasant outdoor seating (though competitive without reservation). Bed was extremely comfortable. Bedding was high quality.

The restaurant was way over priced and had little selection. The door to the room couldn't be opened with the key.

. I requested a late checkout, which they offer for $50. I was told they couldn’t tell me if my request was granted until the morning I was leaving. The property was not busy. Phone in the room also didn’t work. Maid entered one day without knocking.

It’s really lovely- the gardens and pool are beautiful! The bed was super comfy and the sheets were very soft.
It’s expensive for one person and breakfast was not included with my room. (The buffet was about $20 and orange juice is an extra charge.)
Little things like no robe in my room, and very few places to hang wet towels / swim suits.

beautifully maintained walkways and quiet areas. Liked that it had a full restaurant connected but didn't think the food was great. Very clean rooms and comfy beds.
The king room was large and there was only an OLD kid-size chair and ottoman in the room. Plenty of space for even two larger chairs and maybe a small table. It was a bit ridiculous especially for the price ! Front desk girls didn't seem to know much nor was there a map to help with local restaurants and activities.

We love this historic lodge. It has some old west elegance.
The receptionist was wonderful, but the lodge needs more than one person at the desk during check-in hours.
The deadbolt stuck in the extended position. We found a way to trick it into retracting. This should be addressed by maintenance.

Opps/this is the answer for what I didn’t like:felt the personnel at the front desk when they checked us in were OK -but not super friendly and did not go above and beyond and telling us how things worked, etc. we loved the staff at the restaurant! So friendly so smiley so accommodating! The only thing was they asked us if we had any coupons for breakfast and I did not know anything about coupons? How did one get coupons?
What I did like was the ambience of the entire place the old southwest it was very charming. The pool was amazing. The restaurant was great. Our room was satisfactory. I felt like it was a little overpriced for what we got, but I would recommend it to people.
